Thanks for the review! I just got mine delivered today and so far so good! I don’t use an h pattern or sequential shifter often so it’s a great affordable purchase for the odd day of driving older cars and some rally.
I bought this on a bit of a chance as there were no reviews of this shifter and all I had to go off of was the Hori named the options and price point. It’s a definite step up from the Logitech cheap shifter (much more substantial in feel and assuredness) but doesn’t quite have the tactileness of a real shifter per se (more snik snik into gears then clunk clunk). I do love that there is an easy sequential option that works great for some of my rally setups and easily adjustable tension so I can tune it to my feel (I have it right at 50% tension right now). A major downside is that other than PC it isn’t compatible with wheels except for the Hori ones, to which I believe there aren’t any decent ones similar to the g29 or above? (I could be wrong)
WOW! This isn't as bad as I initalky thought it would be. Nice job Hori for making a cost conscious shifter. I would like them to make a pro version with more metal instead of plastics and a stornger detent for shifting. If the TH8A takes a dump, I would consider this in a possible replacement. Again, nice job Hori!

Was most interested in your opinion on the spund. It feels like it didn't occur to them at any point that not just volume, but also the type of sound a shifter makes, actually matters. The TH8S and Logitech shifter both sound much better to me. That switchy sound is HORI-ble im sorry to say. But I think it looks intriguing outside of that (what I consider to be a) major flaw

I think that if you have a G29 or T300 & are looking to buy something in that price range, the Hori isn't a bad buy for the features it offers
I agree, for the right setup, it's perfectly good. It runs pretty well, not bad at all.

It depends on if the sequential mode matters to you. If not, go for the cheaper AliExpress type.

no this shifter is for the hori force something. its only for pc and a specific type of hori wheel

I'm not taking notice of the click when the game sound is around me. It's not a very loud click.
