- First arrival of Hawaiian Airlines' brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner! The flight crew wanted to land on runway 19R for operational reasons, but approach couldn't give them vectors. So we are very grateful for the 26L arrival!

So once again it came down to a little bit of luck. I was only at the spot to film my personal favorite (Delta 777 Heavy) and was about to pack up and leave - but I checked the tracker one final time - and there she was! So I tuned into NW approach and listened for the runway. The pilot wanted 19R but approach couldn't make it work. Something something RNAV vectors. Eventually the pilot acquiesced and 26L was locked in. Woohoo! I don't have any good spots for 19R/L arrivals so I'm very grateful.
@@VegasHeavyAircraft Oh wow so they did want 19s!! I just figured they'd go to 26s so I was able to get them as well!
Yes, I'm glad it worked out. Looking forward to your video! I'm trying a new iPhone 15 Pro Max with "Active Mode" on (5x camera) so the colors are a bit dull - but at the trade-off of ultra stable footage. Maybe someday I'll get a real camera, but those are best in the hands of pros like you.
