Police Unity Tour 2023 - Honoring Dillon Vakoff

The Westminster Police Department (WPD) continues its tradition of participating in the Police Unity Tour and bicycling 250 miles in honor of fallen law enforcement officers across the country. For 2023’s event, WPD Senior Police Officer Adam Lanning completed the grueling ride from New Jersey to Washington, D.C. as a tribute to Arvada Police Officer Dillon Vakoff, who was killed in the line of duty on September 11, 2022. Following the ride, Officer Lanning met up with Vakoff’s loved ones at the National Law Enforcement Memorial to present them with a bracelet honoring his sacrifice.
