Aww, this has got to be one of my favourite performances of his! Great time and body of work, top shelf banter, smiles aplenty, honest and open voice, and the generosity of performance coming out of the guy here just made my day 22 years later... what a professional. Thanks so much for uploading!
Lost Cause is so moody and melancholy, kind of a melodic 60's feel I didnt even know he was doing these styles at this point. Last time I listend to him.was like....Devils Haircut !
@Jayswizzle: I saw Beck live about 4 or 5 times between 1992 &1994 when he was just drifting around the LA club scene. He always had a folk/country blues influence among his other influences. I recall him doing a "Woody Guthrie" inspired folk/rap tune at Toe's Tavern in Pasadena circa 1993. He wasn't even on the official bill...he just did a few songs in between sets. I do not recall the song but I distinctly remember him paying homage to Woody Guthrie before he started the song.
Beck...the man who got too famous and serious about his music and no body cares. I miss the old beck from one foot in the grave to stereopathetic soul manure and mellow gold, maybe midnight vultures. Should have quit a long time ago
Wow… Idiot often? Sea change is a fucking masterpiece of great songwriting with sick textures and arrangements. Probably a little too deep for your level of shallow. Some.. body cares I guess
The amount that the tempo drops as soon as the Flaming Lips come in is hilarious

There is a whole duct tape thing going on.
When did beck become a country singer?
he's always had a little country part of his thing but Sea Change definitely was a sea change for him
He started Country Folk

The drummer is so far out of the pocket he's a top hat.

I was talking with him yesterday and he said the same about you. Crazy the synchronicity.
