One thing that I think might have made the lore of the Horcruxes (Horcruxi?) more interesting is if Voldemort could, at any time, access whatever existing magical abilities the container of his soul fragment already naturally held as if he was physically in possession of it. Thus Voldemort's ability to fly without a broom could be explained by Slytherin's Locket holding a bit of his soul, just for example; and I'm sure you could come up with all sorts of other ideas for the rest of the relics.

Bad info. Godrics sword purpose was not to kill horcruxes. The Sword made of Goblin metal (mithril) had the ability to absorb magic and other substances that it defeated. The only reason it is now capable of killing horcruxes is because it absorbed basilisk venom when harry stabbed it through the mouth and into the venom sac. The only 2 ways known by Wizard kind to destroy a horcrux is basilisk venom and fiendfire. Ravensclaws diadem increased a persons mental prowress by enhancing focus, memory enhancement and memory recall. I love the Cup theory because house Hufflepuff's theme is an earthly/wholesome like a pioneer who offers a traveler shelter during a winter time storm in a warm cabin & some food if they're hungry like you see in Wild West movies. The Weasley family should have been in that house, perhaps somebody like Malfoy should have been part of it given that all he was looking for in life was acceptance from somebody like that boy who took over his Father's company in the end in the movie Inception.

It seems like you made Slytherins locket into nothing but a dark object other than the flying and invisibility. I doubt there was any dark power to it up to the point of Voldemort getting his unworthy grubby hands on it. Just like I don't believe Slytherin was a dark wizard. I think it is all a lie by Gryffindor after their fight to make himself look better in the eyes of the other founders as well as the school. I also think the Basilisk was there, not to kill Muggleborns but to defend Hogwarts from those within as well as without who wish to do harm to Hogwarts and anyone faithful to Hogwarts. I think the reason for the fight between Slytherin and Gryffindor was due to Slytherin not trusting Muggleborns due to someone close to him being killed by either a group of Muggles or Muggleborns and over time it was switched to Slytherin was a Blood supremacist and was based on the false accusations of Gryffindor. Look at his symbol, the snake, in Celtic mythology, the snake represents rebirth as well as healing, remember Slytherin is Irish, his wand turned into a new kind of Snakewood that couldn't be pruned unless it allowed it and when it did it's leaves has one of the best healing properties in the Wizarding World. Do you think a wand that was used for evil would turn into a tree that can cure just about any ailment?
The locked of Slytherin was worn for generations by the descendants of Salazar Slytherin, including Voldy's Mother and Grandfather. Given that the diary horcrux had the ability to possess Giny to the point of using her as a puppet, I'm fairly certain that the locket's ability to make the wearer angrier is due to Voldy's soul piece, and not an inherent ability. The sword of Gryffindor's inherent ability is to absorb the properties of whatever it touches. The ability to destroy horcruxes is a fairly new property that it acquired after CoS. I do like your theory about Hufflepuff's cup, kind of like the "cup of requirement".
Perhaps Merope Gaunt gained its powers after her father and brother were locked up. Always wondered how she could create those powerful potions. But bringing her up, howcome the locket didn’t free her sooner?
Actually, Merope wore the locket... She is the one that sells it to Borges, and in the scene with Bob Ogden and the Gaunts at the Gaunt shack, Marvolo grabs Merope by the necklace and it was the locket...
LOL ability to destroy horcruxes which was displayed when sword absorbed basilisk venom and, thus, GAINED the ability? What makes that it's innate ability?
Also, what's the difference between - Helga H. placed a charm onto a goblet and innate goblet ability? If a charm is placed onto it (regardless of it being simple or not!?) the goblet would, further on, had that ability. Or did metal used to fabricate goblet "had that ability"?
Now, here's a question: what kind of magical artifact would YOU like to leave behind with your name on it? At the moment, I'm thinking of some kind of funky, magical pocketwatch with multiple readouts.....
Voldermort thought he had the sword of Gryffindor in the Lestrange vault. What he had was Snape's reproduction. I do believe he intended to kill Harry and make Harry a horcruxes, placing his soul inside the sword. Of course, Voldemort never knew Harry was already a horcruxes. Since the sword was a fake, I wonder what would have happened had he actually murdered Harry in the Forbidden Forest and attempted to turn the sword into a horcrux? Of the four founders, Slytherin was the only one that produced a truly evil artifact.
@@HarryPotterFolklore just saw ur video collab with them regarding the Horcruxes....OMG SO GOOD!!! Congrats and hats off to both of you 🥰🥰 Would 😍😍 another collaboration ANYTIME❣️❣️❣️
1 the sword only takes in what makes it stronger not because of an enchantment but because its goblin metal 2 the diadem was only ever worn by 2 people the creator and her daughter 3 the locked was enhanced with parselmouth magic so that why no one could use it and 4 the cup could also heal sickness and injure
The sword's power is to absorb magical or other properties wicht it cane to contact with, it can destroy horcruxes purelly becouse it encourered Basilisk venom, its other known power is to come to help a true Gryfindoor to help when they truly need it.
I have the feeling that the cup is the most useful one. It can defy supposed magical laws, even. Didn't Hermione tell them that Gamp's Law stated that you can't create food out of nothing? If Helga and her cup could do THAT, obviously she was, like...in defiance of "magical physics", if that's even a thing. If it hadn't been a Horcrux, they would have appreciated that on the road while they were hungry and tired.
Strictly speaking for the cup of hufflepuff, lets not forget that helga lived at a time that witches and wizards were being hunted just for practicing magic. Pure speculation but its possible that helga hufflepuff came from a wizarding family descended from the vikings. 2 reasons for this. 1, the original hufflepuff crest was supposed to be a bear, not a badger, and 2, the vikings were in fact in wales around the same time, the earliest raids beginning in 850. I think that "the darker side of the cup" that you pointed out dean, is actually NOT that food would turn to ash in your mouth, but that it would produce either a verituserum-like effect where you could ask someone a question and theyd be compelled to tell the truth, or, if the cup detected any ill intent from the drinker to its master, at the time being helga herself, itd poison the drinker. Think of it this way, your at a banquet. The four founders are hosting. Helga is going around passing her cup and insisting that everyone drink from hers first before the feast begins. The four founders dont object to this, but yoir obviously puzzled. You ask why you should and she simply says something akin to manners. Rowena ravenclaw is scanning the table with an unreadable expression. Godric is noticeably tense but noone at the table knows why. Salazar has the same expression as rowena but hes got more of a scowl to him. Helga is the only one at the table that is completely calm, cool and collected. You decide to drink and its the best drink youve ever had. The cup goes around and one of the guests suddenly drops dead. Everyone is confused except the founders, who all seem to relax. Helga looks at the body for a moment and says something along the lines of, "I will never allow harm to come to those who attend our school, be they pure-blood, muggle-born, or half-blood. Obviously they thought differently," and she motions for the body to be carried away. Godric would then state that he will fight for everyone who sits at that table, rowena would say something about how true wisdom is knowing when to lay down your arms and talk things out, and salazar would probably say something really ambiguous like "a table set for an assassination, combined with a presentation on wisdom and strength. Is that truly how we should be presenting ourselves to the magical community?" Some more words on how everyone is happy everyone is there, and the feast would begin. Note: dont imagine this as a start of term feast at hogwarts. This scenario is just any old banquet at any old hall. You just happen to be there and you dont wish any ill-intent on the founders cuz your not a jerkface
About that Locket of Slytherin the negative effect was only in place due to the fact that it was turned into horcrux. So it was because of being horcrux..
Salazar Slytherin wasnt the only one who wore the locket before it turned into a horcrux was he? Besides that the locket sounds like such a dangerous artefact making people go paranoid.
The speculation that the Sword of Gryffindor was a horcrux seems to be unlikely because wouldn't it have been impossible then for it to have killed Nagini or destroyed the locket? Plus the magic it possessed to tell good from evil magic?
Hello I just want to ask a question because I am a bit confused about this but I'm just going to ask you anyway isn't Harry Potter and Tom Riddle AKA Lord Voldemort is distant cousins from their ancestors by the peverell Brothers because if I'm correct didn't marvolo say in the Half-Blood Prince with the peverell coat of arms on Slytherin ring and Harry's invisibility cloak and I think Dumbledore said the same thing in the Order of the Phoenix when Harry was in his chamber after Sirius died or was it the Goblet of Fire either way the two wines recognize each other as not as siblings but as family and everybody thought he was talking about when he took the blood from Harry because of Lily I believe this more than that.
now, IN MY HEAD (not canon) i see the slytherin locket as a charm, that increases your chances of recognition and ambition. you see, the locket twisted the minds of harry, ron and hermione, it messes with their heads, showing them dark thoughts whitch grow increasingly more darker, the more they wear it (aka the horcrux living in their head). but what happened to umbridge, a person who's already fucked up, morally corrupted and with no fucks given to climb up the social ladder? it dosnt seem to have any affect on her, she only grows more powerful with it (head of an entire empartment). so MAYBE the original form of the locket (before voldie corrupted it) was, that the wearer got more influence, maybe more charisma or 'spontaneous' recognition from higher ups, a chance to become more powerful when the wearer already shows some ambition to begin with. idk in my head it sounds like that would be an IDEAL to the pureblooded slyterin families who CRAVE for more power
The only person we know who wore the locket, other than Slytherin before the horcrux creation, was Merope Gaunt. Is it possible that the locket warped her mind enough while she would pine over Tommy Riddle? That the locket’s manipulation was WHY she decided to give him the love potion, that it somehow gave her the impression that her life would be perfect with him?
Question. Since it destroyed horcruxes, does that mean that the power/magic within those objects were absorbed by the sword? And by doing so, is there a possibility that a fragment, or a piece of V's soul may have survived through the sword?
@@HarryPotterFolklore 2:35, the sword s power to destroy horcruxes discovered in the events of the chamber of secrets. That was when that ability was obtained by the sword but it was not discovered until later when Dumbledore put the pieces together to destroy the gaunt ring.

Bro, i just wanna say thank you. For all the years of conent. Love i hope youre well physically and mentally❤️
Mischeif mannaged!
GREAT VIDEO and your take on things in regards to the powers of the cup of Helga Hufflepuff & other artifacts the other three founders
I would say the power of foresight for the ravenclaw diadem is proven false by the fact that she never saw her daughter stealing it or leaving
Yeah and Gryffindor got to keep its artifact.
Will you be in the SCB trivia quiz tonight?
What does it mean to be imbued with magic?
Either it's inherently magical or charmed.
i wonder what was inside salazar's locket before voldemort turned it to a horcrux
Congratulations Dean, your number of subscribers has been surpassed by Harry Potter Theory!
I don’t care about that..
@@HarryPotterFolklore just saw ur video collab with them regarding the Horcruxes....OMG SO GOOD!!! Congrats and hats off to both of you 🥰🥰
Would 😍😍 another collaboration ANYTIME❣️❣️❣️
Didn't merope wear the locket during the memories?
Great video as always. Are all the images AI generated? They look incredible
I love these new AI images you are using!
Nice video! I wonder if you would like to make video's of hogwarts legacy. That would be fun
I wouldn't mind a movie or TV show of the founders of hogwarts .
The sword's power is to absorb magical or other properties wicht it cane to contact with, it can destroy horcruxes purelly becouse it encourered Basilisk venom, its other known power is to come to help a true Gryfindoor to help when they truly need it.
So why was Merope able to wear the locket and not receive the powers from it? Could it detect she loved a muggle? Or did it sense weakness!?
I would love to see a tv series about of all the for found of hog worth
Hufflepuff’s cup: you can drink from it and it will never spill
I have the feeling that the cup is the most useful one. It can defy supposed magical laws, even. Didn't Hermione tell them that Gamp's Law stated that you can't create food out of nothing? If Helga and her cup could do THAT, obviously she was, like...in defiance of "magical physics", if that's even a thing. If it hadn't been a Horcrux, they would have appreciated that on the road while they were hungry and tired.
Wouldn't you say the sorting hat is an artifact?
It's an ify kind of thing
I always thought that Godric commissioned the goblins to make the sword for him not that he bought it.
Can you make some videos about Hogwarts Legacy? That would be amazing since it just came out and it’s very popular.
These images are pretty cool! Are these made by AI?
Herminone would have been a good fit for the diadem of Ravenclaw
I enjoy the video
now, IN MY HEAD (not canon) i see the slytherin locket as a charm, that increases your chances of recognition and ambition.
you see, the locket twisted the minds of harry, ron and hermione, it messes with their heads, showing them dark thoughts whitch grow increasingly more darker, the more they wear it (aka the horcrux living in their head).
but what happened to umbridge, a person who's already fucked up, morally corrupted and with no fucks given to climb up the social ladder? it dosnt seem to have any affect on her, she only grows more powerful with it (head of an entire empartment).
so MAYBE the original form of the locket (before voldie corrupted it) was, that the wearer got more influence, maybe more charisma or 'spontaneous' recognition from higher ups, a chance to become more powerful when the wearer already shows some ambition to begin with.
idk in my head it sounds like that would be an IDEAL to the pureblooded slyterin families who CRAVE for more power
What about the sorting hat?
THE ART WHO MADE THE ART
I can’t tell which one is my favorite
The artifacts look better here than in the movies.
Horcrux's created. Locket, Cup, Ring, Journal, Snake, Diadem, Harry was the 7th Horcrux. Quirrell was only possessed by the snake.
I would love to travel with a Helga Hufflepuff cup.
Who made the art
They all existed for a thousand years until Voldemort turned them into horcruxes
So Goodrich looks like Jude Law. Is there any reason behind this?
Question. Since it destroyed horcruxes, does that mean that the power/magic within those objects were absorbed by the sword? And by doing so, is there a possibility that a fragment, or a piece of V's soul may have survived through the sword?
Is this a completely AI generated video? Seems like it. Utilize those resources i guess...love these breakdowns regardless! 💚
Well, three of them are destroyed. So that's it there.
Being the book series is called Harry Potter I think he would be the most notable horcrux don't you? 😂🤣😂🤣
Ok so if I bought food from a goblin, how would that work?
the sword did not kill the diary it absorbed basilik venom
The sword was used to destroy horcroxes but the not the dairy, that was done by basilisk fang.
I never said it did
@@HarryPotterFolklore 2:35, the sword s power to destroy horcruxes discovered in the events of the chamber of secrets. That was when that ability was obtained by the sword but it was not discovered until later when Dumbledore put the pieces together to destroy the gaunt ring.
Could a dementor destroy a Horcrux sense they can take a person’s soul
A wand is enough power and if I want more I just go for the deathly hollows and so Hufflepuff cup is by far the best of the 4
madame Hufflelpuff would be teacher, madame Ravenclaw would be scientific researcher, Mr Slitherin would be law maker , Mr Griffindor would be psycho-therapist/human developer .. 🧐🤔 ?
Could the dark magic taken away from these artifacts qithout destroying the items? It is a shame that the artifact were ruined
I'm praying so hard for very talented filmmakers to create prequel on these founders in their prime. just imagine how epic they must be and the great villain... just... imagine it with me folks...
Before/without watching…why do they need or have to do anything? They are an artifact…does the liberty bell do something special? What about the Declaration of Independence? Stonehenge? Easter island?…some things are just artifiacts…why make them need a purpose?
Didn't Umbridge were the locket
Only after it was a horcrux
🏞🏝🏜🥰😍😍
Why are all the houses prized possessions made into a horocrux when gryffindors destroys them. The founder seems very arrogant while the others seems more pure and more level minded.
The only artifact that Voldemort didn't use to make a horcrux was the sword of Gryffindor. Ironically, the sword was used to destroy several other horcruxes and was goblin made and rumored to be indestructible. If the sword was made into a horcrux, it would have been the most difficult to destroy.
If it were made into a horcrux, it would inflict curses instead of breaking them. I like the idea
@@yokai333 It could also present itself to Gryffindors and then curse them to commit various atrocities against other Gryffindors. This would be an ultimate backfire for Godric Gryffindor enchanting the sorting hat to present the sword to worthy Gryffindors.
I thought it was impossible for magic to produce or replicate food?
*artifacts*
nice
same as room of requirements
I thought they were used as horcruxes
Umm no the locket was a treasure of house gaunt and was worn by loads of family
Helga hufflepuff is the kindess witch ever
