I’ve been budgeting like this since 2019 and it definitely is a game changer. Before, I would spend frivolously and didn’t care where my money went. Now, I track my spending and having money in cash definitely psychologically makes you think twice about what you truly need especially when it comes to grocery shopping!

My debt payoff has been paying off the lowest balance to highest.
So, I pay all debts each month, but I pay a bit more on the lowest debt. When I pay that debt off, I use the regular payment amount that was due each month, plus the extra and put that amount toward the next one due. Then that one gets paid off faster and the amount used from first and second debt are then applied to the third…snowball! You’d be surprised how quickly you pay it off.
    Great video!

So you put the extra in your cash envelope and then add it to your cc every unstuffing or are you just adding extra to your original payment each due date? I’m starting my budgeting journey soon so I’m tryna make sure I get everything right

What kind of heart do you have to have to think of that! Most of us (me) are giving but it’s more of an “if I can/when I can” kind of thing. I’m not gonna do it or anything but I do love it 😊

Being able to budget and see how much I've been overspending, especially on junk food (chips, pop, stuff like that) is
..eye opening. I just did this, high lighted thr things I've spent on, such as pleasure purchases (not in that way yall, get your mind out of the gutter), groceries, bills, and subscriptions...and omg. You really don't realize how much you're spending when having a debit card is so convenient. Sure it's easier and nowadays healthier but you can easily lose track of what you're buying and how much you're spending. I forced myself to really look at the things I'm buying last month, with a set 200 budget for food (Big family problems). I thankfully didn't overspend, in fact I was left with a 20. I...hope to really stick to this budgeting journey, especially as a kpop fan who really enjoys collecting albums and such. That is my worse spending habit. But I'm slowly working on that as well, and hope to start that journey next month

I saw your story recently and felt so inspired and awed. Could you explain how you determined what you could afford to pay yourself from your business no matter what you made. As an entrepreneur I find that hard to calculate so I often pay myself inconsistent amounts. If you have a video that speaks to this already, please let me know. And, if you would, please consider sharing your business approaches. I don't need to know the deets on your finances but the big picture processes to paying yourself or the processes/systems that work for your business (which may provide principles I can apply to mine.) Thank you for sharing! Praying continued blessings to you and your family.

With the snowball method, you either 1) pay off the highest interest rate card first, then pay off the next highest interest card OR 2) you pay off the smallest balance first and once that is paid off, put those payments towards the next highest balance card. All along you must pay minimum balances on all cards of course.

I wanna know this too! I could probably do this easily but idk how. Also what do you do with change amounts? Like if a bill is 340.33 or something. Do you just round up the cash? I think I might just leave the amount for bills in my bank. Might make it easier for me 😭😭

@@sambecerra6648 yes! I think I’m leaving all money for bills in the account. And just doing the other things.

Yea I think that's how it's gonna work best for me. My husband and I already budget for bills and everything (we usually just pay everything due as soon as we get paid) but then we end up overspending instead of saving because outside of making sure bills are paid the rest is no holds barred so maybe this will help us actually save money and pay this off early
