    What a beautiful plant. I think it looks like a mom dad and baby adenium hugging each other! So cool

    Very nice, and a very big plant!
    I suggest to use a *wooden* tool to remove the soil from the roots - like a chops stick. That way you can avoid injuring the skin and roots of the plant.
    Washing of the roots after that, and hanging the plant to dry for a couple of weeks, also helps avoiding any rot.
    Green thumps to you!

      Awesome! It can take 3-7 years to start getting seed pods as well. It’s a long game! 😂

    I just found your channel, I've got about 30 adeniums I need to repot and came across your video when I was surfing for ideas. That right there is a beast of an obesum knot, it almost looks like an aribcum with all the trunks. I think root training is overrated, I like the natural look better :)
    Keep us updated on how it fairs in the new container and growing medium. I'll be back to check out more of your videos as I get a chance.

    My mom loves the desert rose. We live in iowa so it’s not often we find them at garden centers especially those with more unique colors. Last time she went to Texas and Florida and ended up with a bunch of new desert roses 😅

    I just repotted mine last month. I use crushed lava and pine bark. About 3 to 1.5 ratio. The bark pieces are small. This is the first year I have used this. They are loving it. I toss in slow release 10 10 10 when I use the chop stick. Before I top it off with the final layer of soil. I also mound it up around the caudil so it eventually falls down over the season and exposes the roots slowly. Way cheaper than premixed soils I have tried in the past and here in Florida they seam to love it.

      @ghelp, Are those the only ingredients you use, crushed lava and pine bark?
      That's what I use, but I also add some pumice and/or perlite. I add a small amount of potting soil to keep it from drying out too fast. I use clay pots and don't like having to water it every other day.

    The plant does not need cross pollination to seed. I have only one plant and it self pollinated to produce a seed pod.

      What does the start of a seed pod look like? I am a beginner and trying to figure out what to look for after it blooms. Cheers

      @@deezhang6399 After the flower falls off you'll see two little bumps, if they keep growing you'll get seed pods. Google "adenium seed pod starting" and look at the image results, there are lots of good pics at various stages ;)

      @garybrauckman5299 3 дня назад

      @@MartinGentile-fv5sk don’t worry you will know they look like two pencils attached they grow extremely fast. Don’t harvest until you see them start to split. The pods attached are over a foot long. If pollinated they will form after each bloom set. Mine are thick with leaves and needed a trim but I waited for the pods to mature first. You will get about 150 seeds per the twin pods.

    I have read that if you let the seed pods mature, it takes so much of the plant's energy that the plant will not bloom good the next year. ??

      Once you harvest the seed pods do a massive trim. In about 6 weeks the new branches that are short will explode with flower buds. That’s how they get these beautiful photos.
