Note, this democratic candidate was chosen by the party machinery. Likewise real people didn't have a choice about Biden on the ballot since no viable alternatives were provided. When party candidates are selected by the party & not the people they are far less likely to succeed. The democratic party should have given people the opportunity to select a pro-Palestinian candidate instead of anointing Harris. Clinton was pushed by the party even though Bernie was the choice of the people. HE's the one who got a 5 minute standing ovation at the convention. He's the one who was able to compete with ordinary people as contributors and not billionaires. He drew innumerable young people into his campaign. He would have beat Trump. Clinton was a dud from day 1. She was unable to attract Bernie voters.
That's not a coincidence. It's the system working as it's designed to. Parties supposedly on the left such as the Democrats in the US and the Labour party in the UK aren't meant to actually represent the people. In a two party system they serve as a way to imbibe left leaning politicians and to neuter them in a way that they don't become a threat to the status quo. This is why someone like Corbyn in the UK who had all the hallmarks of a good left candidate was kicked out by the Labour party. Because he was about to become a PM that would represent the people instead of representing the status quo.
