Keep Riding!
-Theme Park Dan
Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin are perhaps the first Disney/dark rides I had seen and from there, I’ve been fascinated with them.
I found it..I found the ride that made me bawl my eyes out when I was 5.. I always thought it was Mr. Toad's wild ride.
SAME
Yup. Just watched the movie again and had ptsd flashbacks from this thing
one of the weirdest rides at disneyland, but boy oh boy do i love it
I was the one in my family who loved this ride and kept asking to ride it again just because it was trippy and adrenaline-rushing as hell. :)
Makes this the top comment so everyone can see. THE LINE FOR THIS RIDE LOOKS SHORT BUT ITS GOT HELLA TWISTS AND TURNS THROUGHOUT THE LINE.
BrandonW
Brandonp
I had to learn that yhe hard way
Lmao right? Its deceiving. Disney knows how to get your ass to wait
i was tired and wanted to get on a ride with a short line. oh boy, i was so wrong. stood over 1 hour in line.
I absolutely love this ride!! I am so obsessed with the idea of the kooky crazy cartoon world! Toontown is one of my favourite Disney lands!
I was really surprised how much fun this one was. My wife really, really, enjoyed it too. She was laughing the whole time.
the weird thing is none of this happened in the roger rabbit movie
it actually did happen
Actually, it's supposed to be a sequel of sorts. The story is, the Weasels kidnapped Jessica Rabbit to lead Roger into a Dip trap, but along the way there's a powerhouse, Downtown Toontown, and even the Gag Factory.
The part where you fall happed in the movie
@@unlikelytowin61 I recommend Scarlett Johansson succeed Kathleen Turner as the voice of Jessica Rabbit.
Honest to God this ride was always out of commission when I went to Disneyland. Thank you for uploading this.
I think it was out of commission because of a death that had happened on the ride in 2000, Brandon Zucker fell of the ride on one of the turns, I'm not sure if they fixed the ride or..
This is seriously one of my favorite rides at Disneyland! My friends and I had some really good times in for and on this ride! This also happens to be one of the first rides my dad took me on the first time we went to Disneyland as a family when I was a child. Thanks for this!! :D

Thinking of riding this... If I ever go to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA... I've only been to Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, FL... Ten years ago.
And I love Roger Rabbit so much, I think Roger Rabbit may be my drug now. xD

Even as an adult, this ride is extremely frightening. Particularly the boiler room/lab bit. The music is so unnerving, and mixing it with the metal clangs makes a very unpleasant experience.
Kaiju f*ck off.
Kameron Tv also the mouth
CurlyHead Kevin damn, you have an attitude, they did nothing wrong. 🤦♀️
No
the movie is disturbing as hell! I thought it was the most disturbing thing when my mom showed it to me. she hated it too.
Brandon Zucker was badly injured on this ride. I can't imagine what this little boy went through being stuck underneath that cab. God bless his family and RIP baby boy🙏
This was a pretty good experience but it's not worth it for the long wait in lin. If it doesn't have a huge line, I highly recommend it. But if you're like an adult and/or have to wait a big line, don't go in there cause you'll most likely be disappointing.
The Movie this ride is based off is absolutely fantastic but this is just a creepy as heck acid trip.
Pretty sure you can say that for any of the Disneyland rides
You can't say that about Haunted Mansion 😂 or at least most people regard it as a flop. I didn't think it was all that bad.
cwheeles Regarded haunted mansion as a flop? Hardly
Haunted mansion is adorable lol 😂
@@MNIMnoob you can come by 1:$300

2:48 You are right, the video IS out of commision! It is completely black.
From the first time going on this ride, I see Benny the Cab above, but there's a couple times he was removed and put back.
when I went on this I was really confused, many years later and I still am
Honestly, now that I'm older I'd probably love this ride. I like weird and creepy things.
But as a kid I'd probably be horrified.
I got stuck on this at 2:34. The clowns kept laughing and leaning in. I was like 6... bad memories...

This ride is better example of why you shouldn't do drugs than what you'll find in any pamphlet...
It's like a bad acid trip.
Mia Binns you’ll get it when your older
Mia Binns ...the drug acid. they’re talking about like being high on acid. not the chemical
More like a bad Dip trip.
this is a lot cooler in person, the video makes it look darker then it is. the portable hole was actually a really neat illusion
This ride is unique. Because you actually use the steering wheel to spin your car around.
Well, I see this ride hasn't changed a bit. I first rode it when I went to Disneyland at eight years old. Unlike others commenting on this ride, I didn't scream or cry or squirm to get off it, nevertheless, I was very overwhelmed by all of the effects. I completely freaked out when I rode the Haunted Mansion ride, however.
Can’t blame you, although Phantom Manor is definitely scarier.
i remember crying so hard on this ride when i was little haha
You did? Did the Toon Patrol scare you?
SAME I was terrified
Same
i dont even remember this ride. the only part i remember was staying in line for 2 hours and the ride was super fast
2:58 “This is gonna hurt YOU, a lot more than it’s gonna hurt ME!” *bops weasels with mallet*
I see this ride has a safety door now. Originally there was no safety door and a young boy fell out. He was trapped under the car and eventually died. RIP Brandon Zucker.
@capt truth The ride was redesigned after that. A door was added with a latch and sensor bumpers were raised twenty inches from the floor so that no one could get trapped underneath. If anything touches the bumpers, the entire ride will shut down in two seconds. Unfortunately someone had to lose their life before these adjustments were made. Brandon Zucker did not die immediately but he was brain damaged until his death.
@capt truth This is an additional reply. I just wanted to add, as you say the floor was flat. Brandon Zucker fell out of the car that he was in. The ride did not stop so he became lodged under the car that was behind him. He was a toddler only about 45 pounds. His body became bent at his waist under that car. The entire weight of that car was on his back for ten minutes. It took that long for people to lift the car. For several minutes he could not breathe. Please keep in mind. The car that you see now was not like that when the young boy fell out.
@@yvonnebrown-james4040 how did Brandon Zucker got out underneath the cab
@@meimei52 The older brother got in first. The mother got in the middle and little Brandon got in last. He was sitting right next to the opening that had no door or safety chain at that time. Something dropped on the floor of the cab and the mother reached down to get it. When she reached down, she accidently pushed Brandon out of the cab. A second story came out that Brandon dropped something and he reached down to get it and fell out. There is blame on all levels. The cab was only designed to hold two people not three. Brandon should have been sitting in the middle not by the opening. Whoever designed the original cab has to take blame, because they did not have safety in mind. After the accident the ride was not used for two months so that it could be redesigned. If you are asking how he got out from underneath, it took several adults ten minutes to lift the cab off of him. It was very heavy.
@@yvonnebrown-james4040 i think Brandon should go first then his mother and his brother and were is Brandon dad.
i remember being so excited to get on this because i loved roger rabbit to death as a kid, and when i got in the ride the wheel stopped working and I rode this fucking backwards
I heard 4 year old Brandon Zucker fell out of the taxi while it was in motion & got severe injuries, but Zucker died at 13 years old in early 2009

disney is the best when it comes to dark rides after all they did create them.
Nerd 3000 Not exactly. The dark ride began in Germany as a flume filled with water traveling past dioramas , illuminated by phosphorous lamps. This idea was brought to America in the late 1800s and was fashioned around a mill..(Old mill rides) or caverns (Tunnel of love). The "Pretzel" dark ride is what started the craze. It got it's name from the serpentine track that traversed the dark building with simple noise makers and horns. William Tracy capitalized on this with his "Wacky Shacks". Walt Disney was infatuated with these sort of rides and found them to be a great way to tell his stories. He even consulted with Tracy on his "Mr. Toads Wild Ride". To get more info on how the dark ride began and how Disney used it in the early stages, visit www.laffinthedark.com
dark ride means it tells a story and this tells the story of rodger rabbit :)
Not all dark rides tell a story.
this is my second favorite ride, my first iis the haunted mansion
also this ride remind me of playing toontown before it shut down in 2013
i went on this ride when i was 3-4 with my parents and it scared the living hell out of me
My Favorite Disneyland ride.
I remember this ride but through all of it I closed my eyes since because it was to scary for me
My favorite ride in Toontown!!!!
this is just straight up nightmare fuel... holy god i never wanted to be on a ride high

Would never be able to go on this ride knowing what happened on it. :( Too creepy for me! Especially the boiler room part.
I loved this ride as a kid. So surreal and looney.

i love
this ride!!!
I waited two hours in line for this ride and honestly it wasn't worth it
It's Disneyland so this shouldn't surprise you lol all the rides will be like that.
Same thing happens to me. I was at Disney land with my family and we decided to go on this ride. We waited 2 and a half hours because the ride broke down and it wasn't worth it.
+Daniel Medina that's true but this line was about 100 feet out the door and once we got inside the building we had to go through this maze the line snakes through.
Lmao the same thing happened to me...my family and I saw the line was only like 5 feet out the door but it's like a crazy NEVER ending maze inside! We waited 2:30 hours!!! The ride sucked!!!!!!!!!

Other than that, pretty cool
ok but my dad took me on this when I was like 2 thinking it was a kids ride
good job dad
I LOVED going on this ride when I was younger. It's pretty weird even though I really do like bunny rabbits who aren't as hyper as Roger Rabbit. I mentioned about it to a cast member who has the same name as Roger Rabbit's wife. The woman who WAS working on that ride as a ride operator?
Bhu0
What did you say?
Why does Roger rabbit always say hey let go of me here when the weasel is literally tugging him to me the way he says it is kind of funny and silly😂
When I was little this ride scared me so much I cried and squirmed wanting to get off.
same I was 4 and I just curled up in a ball and closed my eyes
Yaaa I was 6 and I was like, I'm NOT getting on this ride it was waaay to scary.. lmao
I rode this when I was 4...at first...I was confused...and now...I'm a all-time fan
Y'all are a bunch of pussies. This ride is like the tea cups on a track. Nothing scary about it.
Yeah I was 10 when I first went on this. It had a weird vibe to it and the makers were definitely on acid.
This would be perfect for Disny Hollywood Studios in Florida. Could theme it to "Maroon Studios"
that looks awesome
Yeah it was one of my favorite ride when I was little

WFRR is one of my favorite movies, but I haven't been on this ride, as I've only ever been to WDW. But one of the main problems I see with the ride is that it relies far too much on the ToonTown concept (I get it, it's Roger's Car Toon Spin, but still). The appeal of the movie isn't ToonTown; they show it a limited amount in the movie because it's meant to be sensory stimulation overload. The appeal of the movie is the way it mixes cartoons and real life, and the balance between the two. This is just a crazy mess of toons, half of which aren't even in the movie. Plus, where's Eddie? He's only the main protagonist of the film. At least his voice? And I'm a huge Jessica fan, and she was in there, what, three seconds? I'd still like to ride it, if only for the experience, but as a big fan of the film, I can understand people's criticisms.
We were waiting in line for so long we started talking to this lady. She went to the front while we were 40 minutes in line and asked why it was taking so long. (We moved 3 steps every 10 minutes)
The worker said all fast pass were going and a allowing 1 couple go on stand by. She came back to talk to us. A couple in front of her family wouldn't stop making out. My two friends got on as we exited the ride, so we waited. Wed then realized the ride stopped working and everyone on the ride including my friends had to walk to the exit in the middle of the ride.
There was not one time when the couple seperated from each other and they were doing more things than just kissing. Remember this is in front of 4-8 year olds. Imagine being behind a couple in line that wont stop making out (Rated R) and you can't do anything about it. Especially in a kid friendly (DISNEY) place.
Im here cuz of corona, but I remember my mom saying "one last ride and then we are going home." We hadnt been on this ride in forever so we decided to go on it before we leave.....we didnt know how long the line was 😂

This ride is amazing but the boiler room scene is so unsettling, I always feel so uncomfortable when the car turns near the furnace
