Now, uk can actually and legitimately play good defense as we've all seen in bigger marquee games, and win such games. But, just like the clemson game just a substantially larger margin of horrible with uga, the game was horrendous for anyone that loves and appreciates a great game of ball. Uga player has the flop of the season with no one around and a whistle comes ringing, lol!!! UGA shot 38 FT UK shot 19 FT the refs literally took UK out of their game . Most the fouls called were shooting fouls. If UGA shot the ball and a UK player was even close , they called a foul.
@ yep and they tried to make it not so obvious because at one point towards the end of the game it was 9 to 32 and they tried to clean it up for people who look at box scores but the call weren’t remotely close and I was saying Rupp is the only arena is SEC where the opponents will get fair call and it’s due to years of criticism which is bs because we are on the road outside of Rupp and besides fans Rupp is like neutral site for us as far as the refs go , it’s not uncommon at all to see outsiders come into Rupp and shoot more free throws than us .

Unfortunately when the officials allow one team to play physical and defense, an not the other it makes the difference in the game. The officials control these games, IDC what anybody says, it's one thing to lose to a team in a fairly called game, yet its another to see them lose because of how bad the officials are. Anybody with a brain who is non biased could see that the officials beat UK, Georgia didn't.
Can say that this was by far the worst one sided officiated game I've ever seen in my life. The last two games the officiating has been horrendous against us. The difference in the two was in the Florida game we played well and this one we didn't play well. The 3 games we've lost we've been manhandled and shyed away from the physicality. We have to toughen up, play and work harder in games that are physical because the blueprint to beat us there and teams will try it that are capable. Hope we can get a lot better in the areas we have been struggling. Go Cats.

Totally agree, Lance. Although I respect taking ownership of your own performance, you can't ignore the effects of bad officiating. Amari was in foul trouble all game and couldn't play like he wanted, the flow of the game was interrupted whenever it looked like we might get something going, players got frustrated with bad calls and couldnt play offense when getting fouled themselves, and of course the free throw deficit alone accounted for the score difference.

The most irritating thing about officiating as a whole in the NCAA is when they anticipate a foul and wait for a ball to be rebounded or roll of the rim before the foul is called. This happens far too often, if it’s a foul blow the whistle, don’t wait to see if the shot is gonna miss first. I see this every game constantly when a ball handler is driving and laying up.

Jaxson Robinson has became this years Justin Edward’s we just keep waiting for him to have a break out game and we know he has the potential but it just very rarely shows up on the court and is it me or is Rupp the only court in the SEC that the home team doesn’t get the home court calls because it seems like the only road court that outside teams get the 50/50 whistle and everywhere else is more like 65/35 calls or more and I hate ever talking about officiating.
I expected the calls favoring the home team as usual. But this was scripted conspiracy level bs. Yes a team can ALWAYS play better. Even in a blowout win. But this was despicable.
Refs were bad, but you got to shoot better. Otega was the only guy who got aggressive at the end, and it forced the refs to make calls. Jaxson needs to be 6th off the bench. You got to start Brea. Not only is he the better shooter, but also way better defensively.
Jax is probaby the most emotional player we have. He has a hard time just moving on to the next play. He dwells on a miss or mistake and just puts the weight of the world on himself for it and that mentality is destroying his performance.

Yes the refs where bad, and it impacted the game. But this team is basically the same as last years team with different players and coaches. Top 5 in offensive efficiency, but can't rebound or defend. Last i saw was 91st defensive efficiency. This team will have a similar fate as last years team unless those 2 things drastically and with 16 games left i don't see it happening.
I believe in playing hard, physical but fair. That being said, the game of basketball has become so soft and pussified it's hard to watch sometimes. The flopping in pros and xollege is out of control and is ruining the game. Yeah i think theres a very strong case on a review of this game. No team should be at the line at getting almost 40 free throws without it being the dirtiest game ever. While the other only got 19 free throw attempts. Totally a fixed one sided game.

One stat that sticks out…. We made more field goals in the end.. we get 4-5 calls WE should’ve got and hit the free throws we win this game. Yeah we could’ve and should’ve shot better, yeah our defense wasn’t all that great, there was definitely sloppy play on our end but if this game had been officiated fairly we win that game i do not give one flying crap what anybody has to say. Kentucky probably would have lost but the officiating definitely helped dictate the outcome would have been much closer. College basketball as home has become soft and to many players and teams flop more than they play actual basketball. Ruins the game.

Dude falls down, does not get touched while taking a three point shot and they call it every time. Refs controlled the game. UK was discouraged and did not rebound. They let the physicality get to them and did not shoot well. The refs were crappy for sure. At least call it bad both ways. Refs used to have a chip on their shoulder forCalipari, bad… 2015 Wisconsin, anyway…

I didn't think it was just me. It was crazy. There should have been some technicals called. The Georgia play put his hands around the KY plays neck. PATHETIC. I gave me 92 Duke vibes.😮
Yes the refs where bad, and it impacted the game. But this team is basically the same as last years team with different players and coaches. Top 5 in offensive efficiency, but can't rebound or defend. Last i saw was 91st defensive efficiency. This team will have a similar fate as last years team unless those 2 things drastically and with 16 games left i don't see it happening.
I believe in playing hard, physical but fair. That being said, the game of basketball has become so soft and pussified it's hard to watch sometimes. The flopping in pros and xollege is out of control and is ruining the game. And I don't know if ref are idiot's or told to call the flops but they kill the pace of the hames and dictate the out comes. If you're team loses so be it but it shouldn't be at the hand of the refs. Maybe Kentucky would have lost anyway but the whistle sure as hell didn't help.
Yall blaming the refs are deer in the headlights. This team is SOFT and got rolled just like they did against Clemson bc they are weak as hell.. a team takes on the personality if its coach and I'm afraid it's always going to be this way under Pope

Ive been watching ncaa mens ball sense the 90s and ive never seen officiating that bad. It was attrocious. There is NO WAY you can tell me that the game wasnt RIGGED. That is straight up 100% FACT.
Yeah i think theres a very strong case on a review of this game. No team should be at the line at getting almost 40 free throws without it being the dirtiest game ever. While the other only got 19 free throw attempts. Totally a fixed one sided game.

One stat that sticks out…. We made more field goals in the end.. we get 4-5 calls WE should’ve got and hit the free throws we win this game. Yeah we could’ve and should’ve shot better, yeah our defense wasn’t all that great, there was definitely sloppy play on our end but if this game had been officiated fairly we win that game i do not give one flying crap what anybody has to say. Even on an off night. It’s very frustrating to go back and look at all the missed calls and bad calls. One of the worst I’ve ever seen in my 29 years of life.

Kentucky probably would have lost but the officiating definitely helped dictate the outcome would have been much closer. College basketball as home has become soft and to many players and teams flop more than they play actual basketball. Ruins the game.

Once the refs decided Amari wasnt going to get to play, we were cooked. We had to have him. Garrison cant rebound, pass, or score as well as Amari can.

You know what im tired of, after every loss people shame our players for being bad but when they win big its they are the best. Tennessee lost to florida by 40 almost. Its that hard on the road. Plus the refs are betting or being paid off. Anyone can see how much the refs control a game and outcome. One call can make a team win by 10 or lose by 10. Trump needs to start an investigation into all these referee's from college to pros for sports betting, manipulation of games etc. Or people just needs to stop watching to send a message.

Well - on our Locked on Arkansas podcast, we usually have several UK fans show up, even today, and keep telling us about how much they hate Cal and throw shade, all the time. Well, I had to do it.
