@@mvandell (in bad English, but you wil get it) I still use them paired up and still enjoy them a lot. It is like one big synth! I use the MB as master. The pitch and gate of the MB go to the OSC CV and the ENV CV of the crave. (first the crave sounds very high compared to the MB when you patch them together. Press a lower key on the little crave keyboard first. Now the MB starts tracking the pitch of the crave from the low note you just pressed in on the crave. I hope you understand it. When you start patching the two together you will get it for sure) Most of the time the MB and the crave go separate to my mixer so I can put different FX pedals on the crave and on the MB. Sometimes the output of the crave goes to the input of the MB. Way different results. My main tip is keep chancing the setup between the two. The real weird stuff happened when both sequencers are playing at the same time and than patching the pitch (KB CV) of the crave back into the MB. Never forget the gate function on the MB. It gives even more sound options. I think a fuzz, delay, reverb and other time and modulation FX gives the MB and crave a lot of character. I got a bunch of cheap FX pedals and keep chancing what FX goes first in the chain. Big no no's like a delay before a distortion can get great results. My MB goes most of the times thru a delay than a distortion and than an other delay. So nice and noisy. The crave got a big fat reverb. Gives so much debt! I got both synths for almost a year patched together and I'm still discovering new sounds and possibilities. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and answered you questions.

All these whiners complaining about you adding a splash of reverb are talking nonsense, this was a great demo with some sweet sounds. I really don't feel that the character of the synth was obscured at all, and as stated multiple times in the comments most people are realistically going to add some reverb and/or delay at the very least. May as well showcase the sounds in a realistic setting. Probably will end up grabbing one of these to add another voice to my modular; given how much I have enjoyed my Neutron and how great it can sound I doubt this will disappoint, especially for the price! Cheers :)

Sounds lovely. Personally I have trouble with synths where I can’t patch save. I can noodle in my own world for hours, but then it’s gone. Screenshots is ok, but I’d pay a lot extra for the ability to save my misguided masterpieces.
Sometimes the missing ability to store patches can speed up your workflow. As you have to make a decision when producing music and record it directly, you won’t find yourself in this eternal loop of doubts aka “I’ll fine tune that part later”
I hear what you’re saying. Also, too many patches can be, well, too many patches. A man really only needs a max of say, 20 go to quality sounds. Does the Crave save sequences? It does indeed sound good. I’ve just got an se-02 which I’m running through a hall of fame, and jeez it has a lot of patches. Think I’m gonna try to get to grips with it, but the form factor of the Crave is very appealing.
The original syths that Behringer have developed, most likely using the clone money have been and definitely been more interesting than... Well I guess the Old Guard protecting sounds that are like stock foley for old cartoons
Turned out this one is a clone too, of moog Mothers 32. They changed the layout of the patchbay to the top of the thing. Well, where would music have gone if Fender were the only company to ever build electric guitars...

I understand the Behringer Crave is not a direct Clone, but when I’m trying to explain it to someone it helps me to have some kind of comparison. So, what would you guys compare it to? - I’ve seen in comments here and elsewhere that it’s almost a clone of the Moog Mother 32. - When googling its sound, The Verge says it’s “sort of like the company’s beefed-up take on the Roland TB-303”. Really? They said this when reviewing NAMM in February. I mean, wow, that would be amazing, but I thought Behringer were going to do a more direct clone of the Roland TB-303. Note: I’m not an end user, just a researcher/buyer for someone. (Explains the lack of my own opinion on this). Any opinions would rock very much. 🤘😛

I just watched a video demo of an old Novation X Station. Thought, "hey lets see what a virtual analog synth sounds like and compare it with an actual analog device." Yup, I'll keep with analog. Just not the same. Digital noise sucks.
To add to a small arsenal of sound making tools, especially for the purpose of making your own percussion kits - the FM and white noise are invaluable. Had a huge success with using the often overlooked Monotron to make various kick drum tones, but not much else, due to limitations of the synth.... This, could be the game changer I'm looking for. Added to the fact you have a sequencer, patching and MIDI out the box - at this price point, it seems to be a foregone conclusion. It is, to quote certain successful film franchises, inevitable.

Disagreed. Bonedo perhaps _should_ have stated in the title that the Crave is going through a Ventris, but many of us WILL be processing this synth to use in productions, so it is helpful.
You should be thankful, now you can put up your own video with no effects and not overlap his. Then you can deal with trolls telling you how you should do your videos.

I actually wish they made one that's even small, ditching the sequencer - or even a synth eurorack synth voice version of it. (Just so I can get 4 and make a cheaper vermona perfourmer)

While I like a no talking demo, I would prefer one without external reverb.
Behringer will copy reverbs soon so we won’t get ripped off for a good reverb
They already got one in their budget range of pedals i believe!
You shouldnt use effects for a sound demo.
Especially when the effects cost nearly twice as much as the product you're demonstrating.
Eh there's plenty of dry demos of this as well. I imagine many of us will use it with effects anyway.

Disagreed. Bonedo perhaps _should_ have stated in the title that the Crave is going through a Ventris, but many of us WILL be processing this synth to use in productions, so it is helpful.
You should be thankful, now you can put up your own video with no effects and not overlap his. Then you can deal with trolls telling you how you should do your videos.

With this much Strymon reverb, a wet fart would sound amazing. For this reason, this is a terrible synth demo.

Bonedo Synthesizers sounds great - the non strymon reverb is subtle.

I actually wish they made one that's even small, ditching the sequencer - or even a synth eurorack synth voice version of it. (Just so I can get 4 and make a cheaper vermona perfourmer)
