  • Getting the garden ready for 2021. I've never had it turned over in March, usually there is snow on the ground or it is under water.

    Always love watching videos of that Wheel Horse at work! It plows really well. I can't wait to do some plowing here in the next month or so. The big plow day in PA was cancelled again this year so I've got a couple smaller local ones to attend.

      I watch those PA plow day videos and think how cool that is. Hopefully someday that will return.

    Very nice... It is always nice to have the right tools for the job. It will be even better now that the tree is gone!! last month, I started my tomato and pepper plants from seed . Since I had traveled in the past years, I didn't take the time to start from seed. This year I have been a hermit... Haha! I am excited to get my starts in the ground. Couple more weeks and I will be planting!!

      Me too, we were supposed to get a frost last night but didn't. I can't wait to plant, needs to warm up though. And now that ash tree is down and split, I can't wait to see what my plants will actually do with all that sunshine. Have a good week bud.

    Nice! Ueah Im hoping the branches we took down, rehrasing the yard and moving the garden up this year will really help the yeilds. Plus well be farther away from the black walnut in the neighbors house behind us. Should be breaking ground soon as well!

      I bet it will help the production. Being so far north, the growing season is short but when the soil stays cool and you get a couple hours of sunlight its even shorter.

    Man that makes for quick work! one of these days I'm going to get me a tractor.

    • @CraigArndt
      @CraigArndt  3 года назад

      We have a 1/2 acre lot, so this tractor works 12 months of the year. Any excuse I have, I use the tractor. In 4 or 5 years we're downsizing our home, but hopefully upsizing in land. Garden tractors, especially the older ones are just good fun...

      I went the short way this year to help the drainage, so it all runs down hill. We'll see if my plan works.

    I guess snowmobile season is over. I did get one last ride in at Tug Hill on Saturday March 20th. The first day of spring. lol. Good luck with the garden this season Craig.

      I just saw your new video post last night, haven't had a chance to watch it. The season is over, but I need to take my motor out and get a new primary seal in there, so mine you have to crack the case. I'm thinking next month I'll carve into that. Hope you have a good garden season. I will start posting garden stuff on my Land of Fa channel since this one doesn't like garden vids, lol.

      Cool. Thanks. I'm subbed to both so I should get notifications when you post on the other channel too. Make sure to make a video of your crank seal repair. I'm already looking forward to next season but it will have to wait. I guess I'll make some Harley videos instead.

    You need to adjust your coulter 1 inch to the left (looking from the back of the rig and at least 1 inch lower.

    Awesome machine! It made quick work of that garden plot. What brand of ag lug tire are you using on your Wheel Horse? They look like they grip really well.

    • @CraigArndt
      @CraigArndt  3 года назад +1

      Carlisle's 23x10.5x12. They're a great tire. I don't load them with fluid or anything, just keep the pressure low and they do really well. Don't rip up the yard either when I'm mowing.

    • @CraigArndt
      @CraigArndt  3 года назад +1

      This is a Brinley I bought new off Amazon 5 or so years ago. It weighs probably 60 pounds or so, heavy and thick steel. Works great to get that soil turned over.
