The biggest investment in MY are from US. Biggest trade partner are China. So both are important partner to MY economy.
Imagine when 2 superpower had a war and a small country like MY are in the middle. US and China will had a war in the malacca strait and south china seas. MY will be deserted land meanwhile US and China people are safe in their own country but we malaysian will badly impacted eventhough this is not MY war.

@@muaffzone3315 Well, some of your politicians aren't too receptive with the U.S. and that includes Anwar. You can't blame the Americans from being wary and careful with Malaysia. Either choose one or loose them both. Anwar wasn't careful with his words. Looks like he prefers the Chinese over the Americans. Nobody here wants war but when your own interest is at stake then you have no other choice, but fight. China wants part of your EEZ, America doesn't. Appeasing China doesn't work. Duterte already tried that. Think about it.

I am not buying . . It is impossible for Malaysia to be fair / impartial . Philipppines currentlÿ has territorial disputes with Malaysia regarding Sabah. . Leased from the Sulu ,Philippines by the British when Malaysia was a colony of Britain until Britain gave Malaysia independence in the 60s .Malaysia did not pay the rent ,instead claim the land as theirs and maltreat the Filipinos , descendants of the sultanate of Sulu to abandon their land.!! . FILIPINOS BELIEVE THAT IF YOU ARE RENTING YOU ARE NOT THE OWNER.! .

Tbh as a filipino, if people from sabah want to stay with Malaysia, let them be. We don’t want any issue with our neighbors specially with territories. We don’t have any issues with China before even we are an ally of US. It just all started when China claimed territories in the Western part of Philippine seas. The only problem we have now is that territory, other than that we are good with China

@@fjk8072 The unfortunate reality is that PH does not get to decide on geopolitical issues here. The US hypes up the encirclement since the late 1990s (remember the Hainan plane incident?) which in turn prompts China to widen its scope and that leads to more tensions so that the US can come in while PH shoulders the cost.
The US knows the Taiwanese aren't going to really fight their mainland Chinese counterparts. It is trying to get JP, KR & PH to get involved in a TW war.

@ but we can decide on what kind of US military presence we would allow inside our country. We kicked out the American military from their big bases here once and just allowed a small military personnel rotation every year just for the sake of training our on military. We just started allowing it again 2 years after the territorial dispute in Western sea of the Philippines. If we don’t have issue with China, our govt would just maintain the small rotation of US military personnel instead of giving them access to military bases again. It was China’s fault why we are doing it right now.
