Being an older cruiser is fun as well. I don't need likes, shares, subscribes filming, editing and Patreon to survive. Turning the mobile phone off is the best part. That is what makes it fun. :)
After Venice the water gets nasty until the Keys. I live in Cape Coral. Water sucks around here... Cool to see you cruising through my area! Boca Grande pass has some world renowned Tarpon and Hammerhead fishing!
Greetings from Cape Coral Florida, you sailed by ..... I have enjoyed the watching your journey from the start. I'm glad you made it safely. Stay safe, I'm looking forward to what comes next.
Great video!! Very nice to see you two having some fun instead of working too much. My wife and I are mid to late 50's. We plan to work about two more years or less, stock pile money, and buy half of what I feel our boat needs while I can still work overtime. Then quit work, buy the rest of what we need for the boat, fix boat, and sail away!! Fair winds to you both..
I noticed while watching this episode, how much you two have grown as people... The confidence you have now is almost immeasurable compared to those innocent first steps you made at the top of the ICW... Now is when all that fear, adrenaline and anxiety, pays huge dividends... Have two glasses of wine. You've earned it... you cruisers you... :)
Great one. My wife and my two small kids and I have moved to the shore in Tampa and are moving toward our dream. You, the Wynn’s and Zatara are right in our sights. Keep it up. You are both a light in the world. Don’t forget it .
Well,as promised, this video was fun, right down to the excitement of seeing the solar do a great job👍🙂 A lovely island to visit, and the silk work shows how fit you’re staying.Best wishes 🙂
It’s so nice to see you two in warmer conditions and nice weather. A year ago, I was hoping you would make it. Great to see you have and are living your dream.
another awesome video - I really enjoy how creative you two are - not another "gratuitous sailing skin" video - but entertaining and informative - again - very well done!
Nice Work Guys. Always enjoy the videos. The Silks Training looked awesome. Great to see you all finding Cruiser friends along the way. Stay Safe and Keep-em Coming.
I'm really anxious to hear about your budgeting information. One word to the wise, I was always worrying about having enough money to set off and go sailing so I kept waiting and putting it off till I had more money, turns out that wasn't a great idea. I suffered a stroke in 2010 just when I was finishing up a two year refurbish on my boat re-doing everything making the boat brand new and perfect not to mention adding things that the boat never had like radar, AIS, and solar. Then I had the boat but not the physical health to go sailing. Well I just celebrated my 59 birthday in August of this year. My health is a little bit better but not great. I long since sold the sailboat. I recently boat a small trawler which is easier for me to handle. I know longer have plans to sail off to far away places, but I would like to sail the east coast and possibly the Caribbean which I can do in this boat. It still needs a lot of work but I'm leaving next year come hook or crook!! I've seen people out in 24' sailboats without refrigeration, a shower or anything but a VHF radio and paper charts....the point is they are out there doing it! I just want to tell people if you wait till you are ready you'll never go! Just go and do it while you can becaue tomorrow is promised to no one. You two kids are very lucky and I hope you enjoy a lot of years sailing the world. It doesn't matter that you didn't get your solar mounted, you get it done some day, mean while you out there living the dream and enjoying the adventure and that's what life is all about! God Bless you two and enjoy, you are a real inspiration to me!
This is great advice. Unfortunately this is a story we hear repeated over and over again. I’m happy to hear you are still able to get out on the water occasionally and hopefully you’ll get to reach some of your new goals!
A Monday morning dose of Sailing Soulianis. Great start to the week. 38 degrees here in Salem Oregon this morning and it looks just wonderful down there. Missed you while you were off working, glad you are back safely. Thanks for your continued effort to include us in your journey.
Took me long enough to get to this episode, but I'm so glad I waited until I had a moment to fully enjoy the beauty of it. I love those close to the water shots of the boat, as well as the cool drone shots of Lauren hanging from the silk lines! You guys are amazing! keep it up
you guys are one of my favorite channels, you explain yourselves well, and you mix just enough techy stuff with the sailing life/views. Thanks for sharing... you should try to get someone onboard to help with the videos. would love to see weekly videos from you.
Thanks Marty, we'd love to do weekly videos. While hiring someone seems somewhat logical on the surface, it would have a significant impact on the look and feel of the production and it's not financially feasible for us at the moment. I can't say that we haven't thought about outsourcing portions of our workflow, because we've definitely talked about it. But still for us at this point, we enjoy the process and we don't want to give up the creative control, we just need more time to be able to spend on it :)
Great video. I was lucky enough to spend many many days cruising the Gulf Coast of Fl. Cays Costa was one of my favorite places. Smooth sailing and fair winds.
On your battery needs: I did a two year trip from SF to Maine via Panama on my T37 with approximately the same budget and capacity for energy as you folks. I have a 100 watt panel on the dodger, but could not figure out how to mount enough panels to get up to my needs. I carried a small Yamaha generator/inverter-Just 1000 watts, not the big 2000 clunker others recommend from Honda. I used it to drive my 20 amp shore charger (yes you can do that-do the math conversions of 12v and 120v). The thing was so quiet that you could not hear it a couple boat lengths away and I used it to charge the batteries any time I went ashore. Simpler than trying to depend on the sun and it was nice to have the assurance I would never run out of juice. Think about it. Be careful about swimming if you get to the ICW. I swam in all the Central American countries with no problem, but got dysentery when I dove on my anchor in the ICW in Florida. FWIW. Ray
Nice video you guys are my favorite , I watch many Vlogs about sailing, yours has a truth to it. I think that’s what I like the most, truthful escapism for the viewers!
It is great to see you kids really enjoying the cruiser lifestyle! Lauren you are adorable and such a great partner for your man. Could not believe you girls were sinking so easily. Was that your first time Lauren? Soulianis looks pristine and so well maintained too.
Really looking forward to the next video. I'm early retired landlord so maybe can throw in some good advice and get some tips how to manage more hands off.
Hi SS, glad to see you back. Yes, it's always good to let go and have fun. Silk training looks like you enjoyed it. Keep up the awesome videos. Sail on to more adventures...Peace Luv Rock N Roll
Many thanks to the two of you for putting together this footage. My boyfriend and I love your vlogs and are looking forward to sailboat ownership hopefully in the next season. We spent part of March in Charlotte Harbor sailing for 10 days and traveled down to Venice and we live and sail on Lake Michigan from Milwaukee. We had the opportunity a few weeks past to motorcycle through Charlevoix. Highlighted due to your great vlogs. So glad you are having fun. Life is definitely too short to work so much. We look forward to your next post. Fair Winds, Rachel and Tim
Thanks, kids! Great vid, again. Time to buy silk for film-able jazzed up yoga session for Loren. [kids reference due to Kirk commentary @ 9.21. . . -true enough, most cruisers are 55 plus. You two are rare and living like few others in your age group. ]
One of your best videos, some really good camera work especially the dolphin shot, we fish every year in the Tarpon tournament in Boca Grande Pass, what really sucks is your fighting a 140 to 160 lb. tarpon that could win you the tournament only to have a 20 foot long hammerhead shark come along and in one bite all you have left is the head of the tarpon, I have posted many videos of this happening, so you guys have still not have purchased a gas generator to help keep your batteries topped off, if you decide to get one, checkout the Generac GP Series 2200i, its a really good one, quite, dependable, loads of power and affordable, we used ours a lot this past summer when we went to the Bahamas, it ran our 5000 watt btu generator for about 14 hours on a gallon of fuel, also used it to run the microwave and keep the batteries topped off when the sun went on vacation........
Thank you Robert! We never found an alarm that had a good UI or that we really felt confident in. So my process has been to set a pin on navionics on my phone when we drop the anchor and then just watch my track for the next few hours. Once we settle into a nice rhythm we can see that we're not moving anywhere. I'll check the distance from time to time if we anchor for more than a night or if a big wind shift or storm comes through. This has worked pretty well, and while it won't alert me if I'm sleeping, it's the best solution I've applied so far.
Great episode. Looking forward to the next one a lot. I have rental properties too but not producing enough yet to live off of them completely, well not even partially yet but they're getting there.
HOLY TOLEDO, best vid evah. Keep em comin. Love your new friends. That must take incredible strength. Vid couldn't have stopped in a better spot. Half a glass fall right.
Another great one as always, what a sweet deal to run into Annie and Philip , they are quite the dynamic duo just like you two. As a soon to be cruiser who is shoving off in a couple of years at the age of 62, I look forward to your next segment about finances etc., can you ever be knowledgeable enough. Love you guys
We are heading to Florida next week and hope to see the Manatees too Silk aerobics was fascinating 😂 hope to see more in future Not thought about a wind generator 🤷♂️ Dolphin vids was awesome 😎
Thanks for being back! As always, nice video with some really good camera work!!! I had a manatee come right up to my sailboat once, when I was docked on the east coast of Puerto Rico. Sadly, manatees will approach docks because some people give them food and fresh water without realizing how dangerous this is to them as it puts them in harm's way of boat strikes.
Transas ISailor has anchor alarm and it’s good. Not only you can zoom right in and watch your track while on anchor. If your track is zigzagging back with the tide or wind, you are most likely dragging anchor. If your worried about saving power, use an old iPhone. Also remember to drop 5 x the depth. Saw the silk training quick clip in the beginning and immediately said to myself, "Looks like Lauren met Annie!" So cool that you ran into Phillip and Annie along your travels...

I'm just east of you in N Fort Myers but was in the Cape from '98 to '05. Used to kayak out to Cayo Costa often.

That’s an interesting observation. We certainly have gained a lot of knowledge!
Awesome+ Great to see Annie and Phillip again!
Outstanding combination of good videography, clear narration, humour, and great interpersonal energy. You guys are professionals!
Great one. My wife and my two small kids and I have moved to the shore in Tampa and are moving toward our dream. You, the Wynn’s and Zatara are right in our sights. Keep it up. You are both a light in the world. Don’t forget it .
Awesome to hear thank you Clint!
Annie and Phillip are the best... :)

Fun Video... thanks
really nice when you guys smile a lot. Looks like your over the horror of the solar arch. GOOD.
another awesome video - I really enjoy how creative you two are - not another "gratuitous sailing skin" video - but entertaining and informative - again - very well done!
Thanks for the Boat Life video.... miss those days.... living through your eyes.....
I have been at or around caya Costa for over 30 years ....one of the most beautiful state parks in florida
It was our favorite spot in Florida, we haven’t seen anything quite like it since.
Lauren is always smiling, really makes the channel.
Wow. Very impressive silk exercise.
well done thanks
Nice Work Guys. Always enjoy the videos. The Silks Training looked awesome. Great to see you all finding Cruiser friends along the way. Stay Safe and Keep-em Coming.
FANTASTIC - as always!
Its always nice to see you guys are doing well and having fun. until the next video.

Love following along with you on my BlueCharts on my iPad, so don't forget to give a quick chartplotter shot every once in a while!
Cool! will do.
Love Cayo Costa, we used to anchor off and spent about 2 years every weekend there. Cheers guys!
Girl, Now that you have gotten rested and away from a lot of stress you really are a beauty! Congrats on getting things squared away!

Epic crossover video with Annie and Phillip!
Lovely moving sail boat images

I’ve seen boats with panels latched/hinged to their side rails where they can be raised or lowered according to need or docking/sailing etc
Great video. I was lucky enough to spend many many days cruising the Gulf Coast of Fl. Cays Costa was one of my favorite places. Smooth sailing and fair winds.
Cheers, thanks for watching Scott!
Guys, you are in the right state to get that structure built for you solar panels. Lots of reputable shop in FLA.
Thats what I was thinking too. I was going to ask why they hadn't looked into it while there.
Great couple, beautiful boat, thanks for sharing your lives and adventures. Very inspirational. Looking forward to next video. ⛵
They are becoming a couple of our favorite sailors! I hope we can share an anchorage with them someday
Good job guys!
Your boat looks beautiful. you have done an excellent job on it. And it was good to see you sailing..
Absolutely great sailing footage -- you really captured the essence of a boat under sail! Excellent.
Thanks Graham!

Actually a 1000 watt inverter/generator will drive a 40 Amp shore charger. Mine worked perfectly.
Those aerial silks were super cool! Awesome video!
Nice video you guys are my favorite , I watch many Vlogs about sailing, yours has a truth to it. I think that’s what I like the most, truthful escapism for the viewers!
Hey guys! Fellow cruiser and vid maker here, just wanted to say nice video, maybe we'll see you out on the big blue someday! Keep it up!
👋🍺⛵️
Discovered ya all on a recommendation from watching a lot of sail boating video's, good to see you enjoying the work you put into the sailboat!
Such an awesome video this week - the shots you do around the boat as you are sailing are very cool. Thank you for sharing your journey :)
Love the video ! Especially love the aerial silk dancing ! Pretty cool and majestic like.
It is great to see you kids really enjoying the cruiser lifestyle! Lauren you are adorable and such a great partner for your man. Could not believe you girls were sinking so easily. Was that your first time Lauren? Soulianis looks pristine and so well maintained too.

Very nice video, well shot, Beautiful sail, I could feel the wind and the speed of the boat, the sense of adventure was there.. loved it.
I’m so envious thanks for bringing us along 👍👍
nobody does camera angles better than u two!
Thanks Mookie!

Wow, pretty amazing for first time on silks. I'm impressed. I think I pulled something just watching. LOL
Real Adventure ! Beautiful Yacht !
Thanks for the ride along. Great camera work!
Glad you guys are back I look forward too the next video
For sure one of your best. Keep them coming. What type of anchor alarm do you have. Can you share the spread sheet on your electrical usage. Thanks
Thank you Robert! We never found an alarm that had a good UI or that we really felt confident in. I saw your cute Instagram post and was NOT disappointed by this video! Fair winds, friends!
Djk31💍❤💏💞💚
The headsail looks fine! Nice choice
Great video. Silk workout looks perfect for sailboat life. I'm enjoying the west coast again, thanks. Gulf shrimped out of Fort Myers 1960's.
I reeeeally want to try it on our boat but I hate when my face hits water... which consequentially makes surfing a love hate relationship.
Once again...you guys ROCK! Cheers from Sheboygan! Down by da' lake eh'!!
One of your best videos!
Loved the manatees and the silks and even when the video froze! Good work guys! Lmk if you come back up to SC or NC. Safe travels
double awesome!
Glad you guys are back!
Awesome vid!
Wow. That’s. Was amazing. That girl is super strong. Wow. Wow wow
Thanks for the content guys! I look forward to each episode :)
Great video. Can’t wait for the next one.
great video
Look back at Annie & Phillip time in the boat yard. They could recommend yards to get your project finished. How much for the silk and stuff?
Really liking the channel, keep 'em coming please!
Great sail down wind, I'm glad you had fun at this anchorage. I think I may have pulled a hip or groin muscle watching the silks acrobatics!
😂
Yes yes yes. Miss my 2 favorite peeps. Since your last upload i've checked the channel 273 times to see if there was a new video.
The camera panned around the stern, and I saw the "Racine WI" above the crystal blue gulf water, and I felt so proud of you guys.
Enjoy!
Great episode. Looking forward to the next one a lot. I have rental properties too but not producing enough yet to live off of them completely, well not even partially yet but they're getting there.
Well, I guess the obvious rates up there ;) Something about the motion of the ocean lol.
HOLY TOLEDO, best vid evah. Keep em comin. Love your new friends. That must take incredible strength. Vid couldn't have stopped in a better spot. Half a glass fall right.
very cool ty!
That is a fantastic way to exercise. We are wondering if Kirk will try the silk routines?
I have a few times! -Kirk
Another great one as always, what a sweet deal to run into Annie and Philip , they are quite the dynamic duo just like you two. Kirk! you got some great shots while under sail at the beginning.. Well done! super impressed!
Came here to write the same. I loved the wide angle shots down near the water.
Thank you! I had a good time trying out new shots and angles.
We are heading to Florida next week and hope to see the Manatees too
Silk aerobics was fascinating 😂 hope to see more in future
Not thought about a wind generator 🤷♂️
Dolphin vids was awesome 😎
Good demo of the tide flow.
Wonderful videos guys!! Keep on living the dream, and of course dispatching lobsters ; )
Mmmmmgood!
Thanks for being back! As always, nice video with some really good camera work!!! I had a manatee come right up to my sailboat once, when I was docked on the east coast of Puerto Rico.
I constantly have the problem of other boaters not putting enough chain on the bottom and dragging into me. Try not to be that guy.
that GoPro couldn't have frozen in a more adorable spot!:)
right???? how lucky!
great vid again. Next week i go for sailing to greece
Good one!
Damn good video guys you learn something new everyday keep up the good work thumbs up for this one
Aerial footage of aerial silks 😍😍😍
Dying to hear how you manage your rentals from your boat. That’s something keeping us from taking off on our boat
Coming right up! New video posted tomorrow.
Saw the silk training quick clip in the beginning and immediately said to myself, "Looks like Lauren met Annie!" So cool that you ran into Phillip and Annie along your travels...
