Hey Lucky, I always enjoy your RUclips videos and I learn something new on a regular basis. What I most appreciate is the "grand vision" you have for the project you're working on. There are lots of good mechanics out there, but only a craftsman thinks about the little extras like you do. My complements and I hope Freiburger appreciates all the good work you're doing on his car. It's going to be hard to keep calling it the Disgustang!
Was about to write the same thing looked down and saw your comment. Between this and roadkill garage its made getting the little things done on my 69 coupe much easier.
The calm way in which you work everything is simply impressive, 5 minutes of me on that video and I would be cursing all the tools I didn't grab, how bad my shoulder hurts, which nut/bolt/screw went where and why can't Tiger Woods play like he used too...!
Every dash I have ever pulled out to work on, I set it on the bench and before I do anything else, I break out my air motor with a scotch bright pad and take off all the sharp edges that inevitably slice your hands and arms. The very first dash I ever worked under was a 1970 Pontiac Lemans Sport. I bought it cheap because it had wiring problems. With a rigged up breaker on an extension wire, I went under the dash to try to find the culprit. Well, at the same time I found the culprit I suddenly needed 7 stiches. Now you understand why I hit the edges with a scotch bright pad or sanding disc.... Have you ever heard sharp steel running against a knuckle??
IT SURE IS PLEASURE TO REALLY WATCH YOU WORK ! YOUR LONGER VIDEOS ARE AWESOME....KEEP UP THE AWESOMENESS ! I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE MORE TRANSMISSION STUFF ! LIKE THE MUNCIE M22 ROCK CRUSHER ! DRIVING A MUSCLE CAR WITH A M22 REALLY MAKES THE CAKE ESPECIALLY IF IT IS IN A MID 60's PONTIAC !!!! 1965 GTO COUPE... NO B PILLAR !
The side vents are very difficult to fasten from under the dash. Just added mine I bought and installed. OMG! Talk about crazy hard to reach and feel for the screws to get a philips on them. I wish I could figure a way to recoat the chrome edges of the vents. After 50 years they just have very little chrome there.
Thank you Lucky for this video on the wiring its a great help for me on my sons project on lola a 70 mustang coupe . Awesome details for me thank you. Question on the size tires on this 69 mustang ? I just subscribed to your RUclips channel keep up the good work awesome.
Great channel Lucky, love all the shows. Thanks for all the info you provide to us all. When you are installing the harness, do you add a relay for the larger amp draw items or does the harness provided a large enough cable that makes a relay not necessary. I have a different brand harness (that i lost the instructions too, oops) and it has larger gauge wires for things like fan, coil and starter ignition but doesn't call for a relay to anything but the headlights.
Its coming on nicely. I have a question, whats the make of the light you use. It must be good as you never complain about it. I have tried all kinds and the only thing they do is roll over and blind you lol 👍👍
That appears to be a unit sold by HF. I have several and they are awesome, once you figure out how not to blind yourself with it. www.harborfreight.com/390-lumen-magnetic-slim-bar-folding-led-work-light-56329.html
I am down to spraying Lizardskin under the dash and on the firewall before reinstalling everything under the dash on my 67 fastback. For sure dont want to be back under there.
If we were able to have a 69 mustang this would be the best info for the dash restore. Or I should say be ‘lucky’ enough to have one of these cars hehe.
IN FACT I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU CONVERT YOUR FLEET OF VEHICLES TO MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS! HOW AMAZING WOULD YOUR MOPAR WAGON BE WITH A 4 SPEED ? WHEN SHOPPING FOR MUSCLE CARS NO MATTER WHAT IT IS.... I JUST PASS RIGHT BY IT IF IT DOESN'T HAVE 3 PEDALS !!!!!!!!!!
Didn't see any new dynamat under the dash - did I miss it? Or going in later? Either way, sweet work, especially on those vents. That looked like a pain (just like you said) but you did it proud. Nice.
Stock wire routing is so important. It's also important to recognize when the engineers were sharing a crack pipe....
just about every engineer in automotive was on crack 🤣
Im restoring a 65 gto. Engineers responsible for the steering and suspension geometry were off their chops 24/7.
" Don't get me wrong- he's PAYING for it". LMFAO
I can just hear David now, as he looks at the dash... "Dude! That is mint!".

Always enjoy the what and whys of your process. Thx for taking us along
Nice to be the guy that fixed something nagging... like those vents. Way to go Lucky !
That job early in your career at the stereo shop paid off well. You have become a wiring god.

I wonder if Freiburger is watching this thinking "Dog gone, I am glad that its him and not me doing that fiddly work"
I mean, I would say that for sure if I had a Lucky I could pay to do the sheet I don't want to.
Neat wiring and awesome work on that dash lucky....💯✌
David freiburger is gonna love the new wiring even though on roadkill garage they do stuff the sketchy way or the right way the wrong way lmao
Started this and immediately paused to watch the next installment of Hot Rod Garage...I'll get back to you in 28:33!
I wish I could send my 64 Comet Cyclone out to you, Lucky.
The details are so important

Hi Lucky what size tires is on the 69 mustang disgustang and thank you for all the info on rebuilds
you guys keep it up and it will no longer be the "DISGUSTANG"........ and Fleaburger will have to turn in his "ROADKILL" card

Awesome work mate.
What PS pump is that? Looks tidy.
Why AAW vs Painless?
Lucky I struggle watching wanting to help hold the other side of the dash...

how much will you charge him to grease the door hinge? Love your skills!
Personally I blame squirrels
that looks like too much fun! I hope you send him a healthy bill for dealing with all of that crap
I wish I could send my 64 Comet Cyclone out to you, Lucky.
I’ll never forget when David first got the car and proceeded to pressure wash the interior!
I am down to spraying Lizardskin under the dash and on the firewall before reinstalling everything under the dash on my 67 fastback. For sure dont want to be back under there.
Once ur done practicing on that Disgustang, u can do my Disgustang(no rat shit in it)!🚙
And then at the end of the day it’s all worth it because it’s a Mach 1
