I can appreciate the new Intense. It smells good and performs great. However, it simply cannot replace the OG for me. I love the fruity notes so much that I've gotta have them. Intense is still a great fragrance though.
I just got the Intense yesterday. The week before I got Sicily. Call me nuts but I love the Sicily a little more. The Intense is nice but it's just something about Sicily that I love more
The original is just so versatile it is hard to beat by any other fragrance. I have a newer shitty performance bottle, so I might check out the intense. I don't really wear the original in summer much as I find the vanilla really comes out in the heat which I don't like as much.
Glad to know about the oil concentration of the Intense before it arrives because I tend to spray also on clothes and do not want to walk with that "stain" all day.
Your best review in my opinion, your breakdown seemed to be spot on and based on objective things even though we all know scent is subjective, I think these kind of reviews serve you well break down scents in their own family not comparing Chanels' to Diors' etc... Please review every intense version with their ETD / EDP /Parfum or Elixir versions...
The leather note in intense is by far my favorite leather note I’ve ever smelled in a fragrance. To my nose, most leather fragrances just make me nauseated and seem overall repel me. I’ve smelled all the great leathers like ombré leather, Tuscan leather, midnight in Paris, Dior homme and the likes. Intense is the BEST innofensive, buttery, masculine smoky leather smell ever.
I have just bought a sample of CB and I really loving how it smells. I dont have so many perfume in my collection but i think this is the most versatile of what i have so far - Davidoff cool water, dolce&gabbana light blue intense, kenneth cole black bold, zara night pour II,..- im going to buy CB full bottle right away because of how beautiful the scent smells. Not too masculine nor feminine, its truly smooth yet woody with citrusy spice..

No clue how people say they wear the original in the heat, or even how you'd recommend it to a newbie. I get a super synthetic citrus opening, then ALL leather after that. Literally smells like the top of CDNIM mixed with a knockoff of ombre leather

The original smells much better after you let it macerate. Spray a few sprays then leave it in a cool dark place for 2 months with the cap off and the overall scent profile improves dramatically

Personally i think versatility is a key factor, very important for me, the extrait is too heavy for the heat in my experience but maybe i'm wrong, i have to try this intense yet but the original is not a joke already 😂..did you know brother the armani code absolu parfum version is good?
I have Mont Blanc Explorer and love it. One of my absolute favorites. I'm not a giant collector. I have like 20 fragrences - certainly wouldn't ever want over 30. Not a small collection I guess but not big either. Anyways, is CB different enough to warrant buying? Either version? I think Creed Aventus smells pretty much exactly like explorer. I can't really tell much of a diference - certainly not a $500 difference.!. My nose isn't discerning enough I guess. Or is it a wait until my Explorer runs out and get CB for this type of fragrence the next time?
That's me at first when I thought CB is similar to Aventus/Ezplorer 😅. Turned out its not. More like same vibes but not the same scent . Go get CB honestly, its way better than Aventus IMO

I’ve done a skin test on both. I have neither and want to wait for the intense to get to discounters. You really straddled the fence with this review. I’m going to go with the OG at the discounter price and get it now. I may layer with Molecule01 and see what it does just for fun.

I canceled the order and for the same price I purchased 9mL decants of Cedrat Boise, Molecule01 & Reflection Man. I just emptied the Cedrat Boise 2 weeks ago. The other decants are half full. Instead of spending $100 on a full size at a discounter I spend the same dollar amount and get 3-5 (5mL) decants. I have just enough lasting a few months with everyday wear and I’ve got a tremendous VARIETY of awesome top tier fragrances……without breaking the bank. I spend about $25 - $35 a month on fragrance (which for me is manageable) and I’ve got Manceras, Tom Fords, MFK’s, Xerjoffs, Bond No9, Montale’s & many Niche fragrances. I smell like a million bucks without spending it.

However, you make a good point about decants, it definatly lowers the financial entry level for better and wider variety fragrances. Is there any particular website you opt to get your decant at?

Watched this about 8 times now lol. Finally went with the EDP and just received it. I Imagine I’d love both but l’m so happy with the EDP. It screams off my skin. I put 5 sprays on and was nose blind within about 2 minutes. My wife came home and said it had filled the whole downstairs. Get about 8 hours with good projection and a noticeable silage then a couple of hours where it’s more of a skin scent. And it’s a new batch with magnetic cap. Highly recommended! Appreciate your videos
I have the original Cedrat Boise and I live in Houston and it works well in the Heat. I may eventually get the intense to layer it with the original but more than likely I can just spray the original a little heavier and get the silliage I’m looking for. Mancera is a great fragrance house to delve into the niche fragrances and I have 3 fragrances from Mancera so far.

I live in Houston too. I prefer the OG to the Intense right now for this summer heat down here. The Intense is more woody and doesn’t have as much of the fruitier, brighter notes.
The original is one of the best performers in my collection. I work 10 hr shifts and still going strong when I get home at the 11 hr mark.

Got both, I think they are different enough to own both. Intense is 💯 more serious in its tone compared to the original. Try layering both!😉🤯

Sedley is a really safe niche as well
But you can't find Sedley for $65-$85 like you can with Cedrat Boise. Hence why I recommend it

I like cedrat Boise more. More complex and that delicious blackcurrant and a bit more woody aroma is something aventus doesn't have.
