Thanks for the video. A comment on the visualization. The point of the visualization, similar to maps, is not to be a 'satellite' or other photo. It is supposed to be more abstract than reality. It is supposed to show the things that matter, free of distractions like colors of cars etc. So while I think they can make it more pretty I hope they never try to make it realistic
While this is impressive, I dont consider test drives in Bay area or even anywhere in California or NY a valid FSD test, considering that those roads will be used heavily for training the AI model. Please test this in a tier 2 city or small town outside of these states.
My 12.5 just tried to go straight in a left turn only lane, just like 12.3 but otherwise no complains. Dirty Tesla also had it ignore a "Do No Enter" sign.
guess she is thinking about delivery to the buyers house as shipping costs. even picking up from a local tesla location, we still have to cover the shipping there from the factory.
Teslas everywhere in Raleigh NC (including an insane amount of cybertrucks). Good bit in Wilmington too. At least 3 Tesla dealerships across the state. Huge solar and charger infrastructure!
wow, that conversation killed some brain cells edit: I'm a long term TSLA investor just checking in on 12.5, and I thought this video showed it continues to perform well. No hard feelings to Hannah or Omar, we all say some stupid things from time to time, or have arkward conversations. It's not a big deal, I didn't really mean for my comment to take off, or enable the trolls, and I don't want you two to think I'm a nasty person. I take the *** out of my wife for stuff she says all the time and likewise I'm sure... if I bothered to listen to her carefully...
I'm in North Carolina I drive a Tesla. there's a dealership in Raleigh and there's a dealership in Charlotte. It's ludicrous to think that bankers in Charlotte aren't driving Teslas
Apart from the conversation, I try to think about the moment the FSD goes unsupervised and accepted worldwide. Did mankind ever experienced such a potentially huge change with so many factors ready (I mean the existing 7mil fleet)? It will probably roll out somewhat slower, yet the potential is mindboggling.
Have her open her Tesla App, click on Location, click the lightning bolt, and then zoom in to North Carolina. Wow, tons of Tesla chargers across the state. There are lots of Tesla's there using those chargers. She didn't mention that her friend is blind or back woods ignorant.
I didn't as good of experience with it as you. My car was approaching an intersection pretty aggressively and I had a yellow light. The car then decided to try and stop way too late, which would have put it in the middle of the intersection so I have to press the accelerator to get it out of there quickly or my car would have been hit. When it saw the yellow light it should have slowed down in plenty of time, but it didn't. I'm really starting to believe that all you influencers are getting a more refined version than the rest of us, so FSD is promoted as being way better than it is. And according to the Tesla charging map, there are a ton of Superchargers in North Carolina. So not sure what your friend is talking about. And clearly she doesn't know how auto shipping costs work. All auto makers charging a flat rate shipping cost to customers, it varies depending on the company and not the location to be shipped to. It's actually a Union thing, we can blame them and it's been this way longer than your friend has been alive.
To follow your lead, @Whole Mars Catalog, this clip ruclips.net/video/l87gU_pGP5U/видео.htmlsi=deLSS07k8JiM3t8s is my first drive in the dark with FSD v12.5 (version number visible in the display) installed in my 2024 MYP. Here's an 8-ish minute drive in stormy weather ruclips.net/video/jCT8NVfyOQA/видео.htmlsi=x3P3ByuBIaIE_uqk shortly after installing FSD v12.5 in my 2024 MYP yesterday.
They should have to have a green sign in the back window when on FSD that says “Pass me, I’m this slow because the computer is driving” Man I just don’t have the patience for this. It doesn’t even keep up with traffic it traffic goes over 45. Why would you buy a performance version if you weren’t gonna drive? The only time I use it is when I have to scratch my right foot on the highway.
But when you engage FSD, a notice pops up on the screen that says, "Please keep hands on the wheel". So it is not "hands-free" yet. I really wish people would understand the difference between not needing to keep hands on the wheel and not needing to tug the wheel every so often due to a nag (which no longer happens in ver 12). We still need to keep hands loosely on the wheel until that notice stops appearing on screen when you engage FSD.
You might want to spread around that the latest version of FSD, version 12.5 will NOT work with HW3 cars, which of course is the vast overwhelming majority of Tesla's out there. Considering that almost no one gets the latest FSD software versions anyhow in a timely manner; I would not expect a retrofit of FSD to HW3 anytime soon, if ever. Don't forget that some of these HW3 cars are less than a year old.
From my understanding based on the earnings call, rolled out to HW4 first then to HW3. Be patient...baby steps. They've done an amazing job thus far. 🎉
@@Someone_Cool.x3 Depending on who you want to believe there are around 400,000 cars that have FSD. I would bet the vast majority of those people have never received any upgrades past 12.3.6. They have done an amazing job of getting almost a half million people to pay big money for 0 support. Now they are telling most of those people that were getting 0 support; that they will be getting even less support because their cars which in some cases are only a few months old; aren't supported with the newest versions of the product. That's some balls. Luckily I wasn't dumb to pay $8000 up front so I'm canceling my subscription and I might try it again in a year.
Disappointing to hear that 12.5 is not going out to HW3 cars at this time. I have 12.4.3 on my 2020 Mod 3 and after yesterday's drive I will stop using FSD and just wait impatiently for 12.5. Why at an intersection previously navigated w/o problems, the car made two back to back unsafe moves. Where two lanes merged it neither yielded or moved ahead of the car on the right. Instead it continued straight into a left turn only lane beyond the merge point, then at the end of the lane it edged right the other driver declined to play chicken and slowed down. I put my hands on the wheel ready to turn away but when the other car slowed, I let FSD continue. I wish now that I had taken control so that I could have reported it. This was the third seriously bad maneuver. Hopefully .5 is greatly improved. Smoothness is desirable but it won't offset dangerous maneuvers. What's odd is that in very heavy traffic at a merge where driver's often cut in at the last moment, the car does very well. But with just two cars in sight it failed. Really hoping .5 reaches me before the FSD transfer period ends.
I've also had some seriously bad experiences with FSD 12.3.6. In one case it hit a rock in the road which bent the wheel and punctured the wire. That was a $1400 day. In another case it tried to go the wrong way down a one way street but I was able to stop it in time. Funny you never see stuff like this in these videos. In the last few weeks I've seen more and more reasons to get rid of my 2023 model Y and I think this HW3 thing with FSD 12.5 is the straw that broke the camel's back for me. No more, I think I'm done.
@@Alarix246 That’s true but HW3 cars can’t apparently handle the 5X in parameter count until they optimize the model more so only HW4 cars will get 12.5 for now.
The fact y’all can have a conversation like that says everything about the success of 12.5.
