@momlifefoodandtravel4376 it's a great experience to see all areas of the city and people from all walks if life!❤️😊
@@WorldFamilyExplorers yeah, thats the real Philippines, some vloggers are just on their comport zone
Philippine's actually the #1 top importer of rice in the world.@@WorldFamilyExplorers
I will absolutely recommend this channel. Showing not just the modern Metro Manila but also the other side of it. Big salute.
Thank you so much! The thing we love about the Philippines is no matter what area we were in or what walks of life people came from they were very friendly and all smiles!😊❤️🇵🇭
Welcome mabuhay phillippines take care
Thank you so much! 😊❤️
It is cheaper in Divisoria because most goods are not branded. There's no foreigner because as you can see, it's pretty crazy chaotic there. It's not everyone's cup of tea but it's lovely to see that you guys visit there. Even I haven't gone there, just watching your video makes me feel dizzy and disoriented by the crowd. I am not claustrophobic nor introvert, but god it's crazy seeing how crowded the place is.
It was pretty crowded and chaotic, and before we went, some locals warned us it might not be safe, but our guide made us feel comfortable, and all the locals we met were very nice and always smiling! ❤️☺️
I love your boy the way he advertise the taste of the food, he maybe come like you as a vlogger too.
Our youngest Connor loves Pork Adobo as his favorite Filipino food. We had a local friend teach my wife to cook it. ❤️🇵🇭😋
Welcome to the Philippines.New follower here
Thank you for following our adventures! Hope you enjoy our videos! ❤️😊
Enjoy and keep safe..
Thank you very much!😊
Your guide is pretty good. Really showed you guys the local Manila. She gave you guys a little taste of the local Philippines.
It was great to see all different areas that most tourists don't go to. We have a new video coming out tonight of BGC to show the plush area of Manila! ☺️❤️🇵🇭
Love the local guide. She’s a great guide.

@@WorldFamilyExplorers V is a great tour guide and she speaks and sounds like a real American. I was also hoping she showed you guys the fancy parts of Makati like Greenbelt, Ayala Triangle, Rockwell Center, and Salcedo market
Great vlog guys! I like that you’re keeping this real- showing the bubble of GBC and urban areas of Manila.
We like to see all areas of places everywhere we go and have our children learn about sll walks of life. The thing we loved about Metro Manila that was different from other big cities we've been is that even in the less fortunate areas, everyone was kind and all had smiles. It really showed us that what everyone says about the warmth and resiliency of the Filipino people is true! ❤️☺️🇵🇭
Also, thank you for your service after seeing your Profile picture. I served in the Marines, and I'm an Iraqi freedom Veteran then after the Marines, I finished my retirement in the Nevada ARMY National Guard. Semper Fi Brother- Chris

It was a great experience! Coming up in future videos, my wife learned to cook Pork Adobo and Lumpia from a local and our youngest son Connor loved it! 😋❤️🇵🇭
Kudos for walking and persevering under that philippine heat! please stay hydrated and cool! It does not look cool, but using an umbrella when it gets really hot helps a ton! You'll see plenty of pinots doing that. Nice to see a tour guide with you. Sometimes it can all be super overwhelming especially for the kids. Mabuhay!
You are right about the umbrellas! We used them in Malaysia when we were there, and it helped. We forgot them there though and didn't buy new ones! Thank you so much for watching our videos!😊❤️
Try also jollibee a popular fast food chain connor will love the menu like chickenjoy especially spaghetti
The kids did try Jolibee! They love the sweet spaghetti and the fried chicken!
@@WorldFamilyExplorers how about sister companies of jollibee Mang inasal,Chowking and Greenwich
The Philippines was once a U.S. territory and if you want to experience that side of our history I can suggest visiting the American cemetery! It’s actually located near BGC I think lol. Also explains how there’s so many U.S. restaurants in the Philippines.
😬
We would love to see the cemetery, especially since I was in the Military and was on the Honor Guard team for Military funeral services.
@@WorldFamilyExplorers You would definitely love it! It's the only american cemetery in asia. It was constructed after world war 2. In fact, we also are the only country outside the U.S. to have a DoVA.
Right after when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor 2 hours after that they immediately started bombing the Philippines. (Back then we were still a U.S. territory. We were called the Commonwealth of the Philippines.)
And fun fact - our constitution, governance and policy is modeled after the United States.
That's kind of why we speak english and don't mind eating pancakes for breakfast here and there lol.
Even our Jollibee serves pancakes in the morning!
We're also considered to be the most westernized country in SEA. It's just that we aren't talked about worldwide as much and many don't really know our history.
Welcome to the Philippines or Filipinas :)
@Fenix5jr thank you so much for the info! I'm actually reading more about the history of the Philippines right now, and we're going to teach it to our children as part of their homeschool history lessons ❤️☺️🇵🇭
@@WorldFamilyExplorers I believe it's the biggest and most beautiful American cemetery outside the USA.
It's a good thing you guys get a tour guide!
We definitely would have gotten lost without our guide. She was great! ❤️☺️🇵🇭
Very cool family😊😊😊
You are so kind, thank you! ☺️❤️
The Philippines is so rich in culture...and the people appear so welcoming...whether it be on the local streets and markets or their beautiful beaches...this is all "life"...all of it should be appreciated and experienced. 💞
We agree! Great to see people and places in all areas of the Philippines to get all perspectives. We really enjoyed this tour after seeing BGC and the Venice Mall it was good to see a different side of Manila and have some Authentic street food!
Yes. Even if you go to slums
In case you didn't know, the jeepneys evolved from the Willy Jeeps that the US Army left behind after World War 2. The Filipinos turned them into something that resembled what you rode in, except they only sat three or four people per side. The one that you rode in was assembled from sheet metal and surplus Japanese truck engines and parts.
The Jeepneys are so cool with how the modified and decorate them! I heard the government are trying to get rid of them because of the population, but I hope they keep some always for historical value and just replace the engines with more efficient ones. They really are a work of art and I really appreciate them because I used to work in an Autobidy shop painting cars! Chris/ Dad- World Family Explorers

Living in Manila's poorest neighborhood is like living in an aquarium. From time to time there vloggers who come to visit their situation. I am impressed by the improvements of their living standards. They are now well taken cared of by local government of Manila.
The thing we were impressed with was how organized the markets were and also how warm and friendly the locals were even though some had very little. Always smiling no matter what and welcoming. The Filipino hospitality everyone told us about is very real! ❤️☺️🇵🇭
Very cool for you guys to do this. Loving it here in Houston. Stay safe
Thanks for watching! Hope all is well in Texas! 😊
Sana ipagbawal yung mga nakahubad na pagala gala lalo na sa mga public areas 😊
I guess some think it's a European beach?🤣 It is hot so I guess they are trying to stay cool..🤷🏻♂️

your local tour guide did an excellent job, clap clap. I will definitely recommend her to other vloggers ❤
Yes ,please recommend our Guide V, she was great! Her contact is in the description. She does all different tours like nightlife as well. If we didn't have kids we would have done a night life tour as well! ☺️
It’s good that you guys have a guide, helps you understand better of how life is in local Manila and not just the rich side of it…stay safe always and take care ☺️
Thank you so much! We were happy to see other areas other than BGC where we were staying. We liked that no matter what area we were in, everyone was equally happy and smiling even though they might now be in the best situation. ❤️😊🇵🇭
Exciting vlog,❤ you not only want to see the touristy side but the real deal. You noticed the electric wires overhead ,well it's because of the terrible floods during the long rainy season and it gets flooded so most of the wires are above ground which is safe and practical. Glad you and the kids got to enjoy the market food lumpia, shanghai, bibingka, marshmallows, and sweets, the tricycle and jeepney rides which most visitors are curious about but never ventured to try 😅 the metro train ride is actually such a relief for the kids because of the terrible heat due to climate change, it was never this hot before. The ending was fantastic with you trying local delicacies like palabok, adobo etc. Overall the guide was a gem. Loved this vlog❤ looking forward to your next vlog😊.adios amigos😍
Glad you enjoyed the vlog, it was a great experience forcus and the kids we were luck to have our great guide V! Next video will be of the glamorous area of BGC! ❤️😊🇵🇭
Happy weekend. 🎉
Thank you!😊
Enjoy you all and stay you all safe 😘 🙏 ❤️
Thank you so much! 😊❤️
The chaos will sync in, it takes time but the experience will surely humble people.
Like any large city we've been to everywhere has chaos, but we enjoyed seeing all areas, including the less polished areas. The part we liked the most was everyone was friendly, and we were met with smiles everywhere we went, which proved what we were told about the warmth of the Filipino people. ❤️☺️🇵🇭
6:35- very true! We import rice in vietnam millions of tons sacks of rice every year to provide food for Filipino people nationwide,we have rice farms in diff parts of country but its not enough to supply the necessities of number of the people, that is also the reason why the rice price is quite expensive and we export rice from vietnam.
Fyi- some vietnamese people studied agriculture in our famous university in Laguna that specialises in agriculture,Our country trained students from these countries and it turned out that their agriculture sector is now far more developed and competitive than Philippines, and this is the sentimient of more Filipino people, and pedsonally,im feel ashamed when i knew this infos
Thank you for the Info. I know Filipinos eat rice with every meal. We like rice for lunch and dinner ner but not breakfast. Our friend wanted to cook us shrimp and rice for breakfast, but we asked for Ham & eggs please! 😊❤️
Hahahhahahaha CHINA takes now the spot. Mas cheaper daw kasi may libre pang onions😂😂😂😂😂
Welcome to the Philippines 😊
Hope you also visit Cebu, the second biggest city in the country. It is just beside Bohol where I read you are heading next 😅
We are already planning on a second trip that will include Cebu and Boracay! So many amazing places to see we will be back many times, I'm sure!😊🇵🇭❤️
@@WorldFamilyExplorers I see, that's great 😊. I think you enjoyed the Philippines much that it made you guys want to come back 😊
you tour in the market but i suggest go to MANILA OCEAN PARK OR ENCHANTED KINGDOM
Thank you, we will check them out! ☺️❤️
THE BEAUTY OF A COUNTRY IS NOT ONLY ITS TURISTIC SCENERIES AND POSH EDIFICES BUT ITS PEOPLE; IN UGLINES, THERE IS BEAUTY AND ONLY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE SEE THEM.
We agree with you and it's exactly why we wanted to show videos of all areas. I hope those watching will see what we did, that the Filipino people no matter if they have a lot or very little are resilient, friendly and always have a smile on their face no matter what. We enjoyed this experience just as much as we enjoyed our visit to the plush Venice Grand Canal Mall. We are from Las Vegas and we have the beautiful Las Vegas Strip but there is another side of crime, massive homelessness and even people living underground in the sewers. The difference is unfortunately many of our lower class in the USA is not as friendly as they are in the Philippines. We commend the Filipino people for their amazing warmth and although we're sure there are bad people in every city, luckily everyone we met was wonderful in all areas we explored! ❤️😊🇵🇭
❤❤❤

Hope you e joyed the video!😊

Ah that makes sense! 😊

@@WorldFamilyExplorers bro he's a troll, probably a CCP bot
is that divisoria
Yes the market portion is Divisoria, the restaurant is in Makati.
Those houses along the riverbanks will be gone soon. The Government is currently transforming both banks of the Pasig River into a long esplanade.
People living there will be relocated in some of the housing units being built by the government. At present, the government is constructing more than 100,000 housing units in Metro Manila alone.
I hope that the people living there will like the new housing. We noticed they were building new streets in some areas we were as well. We are getting some criticism for visiting and showing this area but we are genuinely glad we did. We were impressed by how happy and friendly the people were even though some had very little. We will be showing BGC in our next video to showcase the modern areas as well. 😊❤️🇵🇭

Thank you for the info, we want to make sure we have proper etiquette in whatever country we visit. We will use the spoon in the future. ❤️☺️🇵🇭
0:36 I just want you to be cautious about the term "real manila", because this gives a negative impression to Filipinos, that the poor side of manila is "real" and the richer sides are "fake", both modern and old manila are "real", everything is raw and unfiltered here, it's completely normal for countries to have a rich and poor side, but both sides reflect the realness of the nation, and efforts are being made to balance these sides out 😊
Our apologies, we should have said that it was a different side of Manila, then where were staying in BGC. We loved that no matter where we were, everyone was kind and all smiles! 😊❤️🇵🇭
I think what he meant was, the "Manila City" itself. Because some tourist thought BGC Taguig, Makati, Pasay and other neighboring cities were also "Manila" which is in fact part of the "Metro Manila". Im sorry, im not really good in English 😅
@@S.Y.S.Shareyourstorythats correct and you are correct. The history of metro manila😂😂😂😂😂
Agree! Every country has it’s own mess. The poverty in the PH as shown on the video is much better than homeless areas in so called “1st world”countries.
Nandiyan ang City of Dreams, Luneta, Intramuros, Mind Museum, Okada, Mall of Asia, Manila Zoo etc.
❤️🇵🇭😊
Besides what's wrong showing this place in the entire world.

I feel sad for the kids though..so far they have only had sweets..doughnuts, cookies, smoothies, pizzas, mac and cheese...I wish they would eat more authentic real food...
Don't worry they've also had pork adobo and Lumpia once we got to other islands which you'll see in future videos. My wife even had a local teach us to cook the local dishes! We also make sure they eat healthy when we are home, but when we're out exploring new places for the first time, we let them choose whatever they want..☺️❤️🇵🇭😋
one thing about the filipinos .. if you say "hello"? most of us will respond to you with a smile .. im just relieved to know that you actually have a local with you while you walk around manila, bcos im not gonna lie ... the streets nowadays are much dangerous! the current administration is loose vs drugs! just dont go to shady places at night .. be careful guys
