I have lp9s on my jeep tj’s bumper as “fog lights” I wanted to swap out my squadron pros on the pillar for lp6 but I’m not sure if they will be to big I was going to upgrade the squadron pros to xl80 but then I was like I might as well get the lp4 since they’re about the same size then I was like if I’ma get the lp4 I might as well get the lp6
@@TheAllAmericanDriver yeah they look big since they’re a couple inches bigger than the headlights but they look good & work great baja design is great all around
The LP6s are definitely big on the A pillar. I still like them though! It’s a big truck so for me it doesn’t look out of place and the SDHQ mounts are pretty solid. The LP4 would be a good option also.
@@TheAllAmericanDriver I been choosing and canceling my order I have 2021 f150 so lp6’s won’t be a size problem but I don’t know if it will be solid at A Pilar or Nah
@@MBQ11 It's pretty solid. But they are big! During some terrain and bumps you can see them mildly flex a LITTLE side to side. If this would bother you, the go smaller.
@@TheAllAmericanDriver I appreciate your time sir you helped me a lot , I’ll go with lp4’s amber till I change factory front bumper then I’ll install lp6’s
@@SPAWNOFSATAN013 Honestly.. I think these might be too big for the A-pillar brackets without addition re-inforcement (which I am working on). They are so big they are not 100% solid up there. From time to time I can see them mildly moving back and forth. Unless you want to screw around with some more custom work, I would suggest a smaller light. Maybe the LP4's if you want the amber back light. Or get what everyone else has.. the XL80s.
Awesome vídeo ! Are they brighter than your stock headlights in person? How much brighter? Sometimes is hard to translate that in a vídeo, wish You gave your opinion or reaction while driving filming
They are much brighter than the stock headlights. Even the stock hi beams seem dim in comparison. After driving with them ON, when I turn them off, it is almost like driving in the dark. AKA... they are bright. :)
Ok i understand, I think I’m going to pull the trigger, thanks a lot for the video and the response ! Mi fiesta st will be ridiculous with its quad projector retrofit, ss3 max pro fogs and two lp6 lol
The average halogen headlight generates 700 lumens of light out put in low beam. The average high beam output is 1,200. A single Baja Designs LP6 produces 8,600 lumens of forward light. The side LED on an LP6 produces 1,700 lumens...to the sides (brighter than a car's halogen high beams). Now, multiply this times 2 for a pair of lights. AAD is correct, these are not usually used as Pod also known as Ditch Lights, because the side light can be blinding. Most people if they use Baja Designs use the 80XL models, which produce 9,500 lumens of forward light. I think it's amazing how Baja Designs, Rigid Industries and others provide such intense lighting for off-road applications.
I don’t think anyone has asked you but do you notice more noise from wind when traveling at higher speeds??
Sick! Been thinking bout doing the same thing on my tundra
Only do it if you want to see EVERYTHING!

Do you have a link for the light brackets? I have the same lights looking for a strong brakets now

What lightbar is that that also has the running light feature like the lp6?
Now I want this light
Do you already have A-pillar lights?

@@TheAllAmericanDriverthanks for the heats up.
The best part about the PNW in the winter time? You can test your lights out when it's dark at 3 PM.
Hahaha
You could probably see the space station with those things
Just gotta get the truck pointed up towards the sky somehow...
@@jasonandrews1252 🤣 give it a shot
Thinking of getting these lp6’s . Im in Bremerton to, how much does this place charge for the install and do they do a good job?
Every install is different but they are very reasonable and do a fantastic job, one of the best in the area! Talk to Tom, tell him I sent you.
Did they connect that amber color to your day time running lights?
They are connected to my parking lights! That's one of my favorite things about these lights.
@@TheAllAmericanDriver thats awesome 👌 does this mean they also turn on during the day
@@Ellacost831 I'm not 100% sure the gen 1 has automatic daytime running lights. I have to turn my parking lights on for all the amber glory.
@@TheAllAmericanDriver im trying to decide in between the lp4 and lp6, did you have any visibility issues with the lp6 being too big?
The only annoying part is the reflections off the hood
Honestly because of the seating position I use I don’t have any glare or reflection issues. I tend to adjust the seat as low as possible.
Hi, I installed the lp6 to my jeep JL’s aux, high beam to aux1 and low beam to aux 2. Can I turn both aux high beam and low beam on at the same time?
Yes! In fact, when I installed them on my new Raptor I only wired up them up to one switch for full power.

Thanks man! It’s actually amber with amber backlighting.
Nice job.

Maybe it’s cheaper to get laser eye surgery to see in the dark?
