Most MDs, unless they are holistic, don't care about vitamins, minerals, and natural supplements because they don't t make money from that. They care about putting you on pharma drugs which is their standard and getting kick back commissions from prescribing them. I avoid MDs if possible or ignore their drug advice.

Vitamin B12 should have been on this list as low vitamin B12 is linked to high homocysteine and heart and vascular diseases.
B12 is also difficult to absorb, so vitamin B12 deficiency and high homocysteine are common in the elderly, those with stomach and intestinal problems and those who eat too little meat.

    • @darilekron4590
      @darilekron4590 Год назад

Also a good percentage of people due to genetics have less ability to synthesize the vitamin B12 and do better taking bioavailable forms: methyl cobalamin or adenosylcobalamin. The Krebs cycle is how vitamin B12 and homocysteine is synthesize and processed. There are multiple pathways in the Krebs cycle that are bodies use to process vitamins and metabolites like homocysteine including the sulfurating pathways. Eating sulfur containing foods like cruciferous vegetables can help your body process homocysteine and break it down so it doesn't build up as much in our bodies.

Interesting I have good B12 #'s and have not eaten meat in over 6 years. Low cholesterol, Triglycerides, and strong HDL numbers. Meat is severely lacking in vitamins and minerals both. @@northerncoloradotransparen1454 Do you use dietary supplements containing B12?
Stores of vitamin B12 in the body can last around 2 to 5 years without being replenished, so it can take a long time for any problems to develop after a dietary change.

@northerncoloradotransparen1454 Meat though is the best source of amino acids in both type, amount & proportion. As people age the drop in muscel is of great importance as the frailty that it endows is very detrimental. Falls often can end in bone breaks, the muscel is not there to protect joints which have a propensity to wear cartilage. Muscel is very important & so are the consumption of meats( fish)!

    • @northerncoloradotransparen1454
      @northerncoloradotransparen1454 Год назад

Actually new science has proven that is completely wrong. To begin Meat does not translate to muscle in the human body in any way that is a fantasy. We can get all of our amino acids from Fruits and Vegetables. The human body produces amino acids and proteins. Soy is a much better Amino Acid than meat will ever could be. The west in general exceeds their protein needs by 175-200% daily which turns to glucose (hence the extreme obesity, diabetes, and chronic disease). Not sure why you think meat give you muscle? If anything meat is nothing more than a piece of antibiotic infested, hormone ridden nigh mare ruining the planet and human gut microbiome health. Meat sits and rots in your digestive tract unlike whole food, and plants. Sorry but you could not be further from the truth!@@deanjericevic8912

@@oldgloryhillfarmturtlewoma9132Why on earth take calcium supplements??? Especially with vitamin D3, don't you know that vitamin D3 allows your body to absorb 20x times more calcium than if you weren't supplementing with D3.
Hope you don't get migraine headaches as milk has been absolutely linked to it.
Further if on K2-MK7 and D3 you need to be on the correct dose and that is...
      100mcg of K2-MK7 per 1000i.u. of D3
What can happen if you take higher amounts of D3 it can overrun K2-MK7 allowing calcium from D3 production to go into places that it doesn't belong...like joints and soft tissues like your arteries.
      I too am on K2-MK7 and D3.
You can take more K2-MK7 but not D3 in the ratio above.
For instance I take 2400mcg per day with 5000i.u of D3. In the winter I take 10,000i.u of D3. My D3 level has been tested and I am at 60ng/dl
I use the Linus Pauling Heart Protocol to reverse my CAC coronary artery calcium score
It is reversing from 660 to now 458.
Do your yourself a favor and get a CAC Score unless of course your on a Statin then your doctor might not recommend that as a Statin does nothing but increase your calcium score all in the name of plaque stabilization.
But never take D3 without K2-MK7.

@@cptmccoy I just looked at your recommendation for D3 and K2-MK7 and I find it concerning because they don't list the amounts of K2-MK4 and K2-MK7 separately. The MK4 has a very short half life and requires a great deal more than MK7 to be effective.
The danger is that K2-MK7 or MK4 can be overrun by too much calcium produced by D3.
The latest recommendation from Dr. Kate author of "K2 and the Calcium Paradox" from an interview of her by Dr Mercola on u-tube is 100mcg of K2-MK7 per 1000i.u of D3.
When you take too much D3 your setting yourself up for a heart attack.
The product you recommend is 1/2 of Dr. Kate's current K2-MK7 recommendations to be safe..
If you took K2-MK7 by itself a 1-200mcg dose would be fine.
But not when supplementing with D3.
      Infact I use 2400mcg of K2-MK7 with 5000i.u of D3.
In fact MK4 is so inefficient that Dr. Kate recommendation is 45,000mcg per day and that needs to be spread through out the day. Yes it's that high!
Along with the Linus Pauling Heart Protocol to reverse my heart disease verified by a CAC or coronary artery calcium score of 660 to 458.
Cardiologist say it can't be done but done correctly it can be! As evidence by my score which only took 20 months.

If you're inquiring about supplements, it's wise to seek guidance from a healthcare professional, such as your doctor or dietitian, who can tailor advice to your individual needs.

If you're considering taking vitamin K2 while dealing with antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APLA), it's essential to consult with your healthcare provider first. Vitamin K2 can affect blood clotting, which is a significant concern in APLA because the condition itself increases the risk of forming abnormal blood clots. Your doctor can provide personalized advice based on your specific health needs and current treatment plan.

L-Lysine and Vitamin C are part of the Linus Pauling protocol to remove calcified artery plaque and to heal arteries. He maintains heart disease is a chronic Vit C deficiency. It also includes another amino acid L- Proline. The Vitamin C has to be pure ascorbic acid or liposomal Vit C, not buffered or ester Vit C. You can buy all these supplements separately as it is quite expensive to buy in a prepared formula.

@@concettagaggiano3572 That is correct. The proper dosing according to Dr. Kate author of the book "K2 and the Calcium Paradox " In a more recent interview with Dr Mercola on u-tube said that if taking both D3 and K2-MK7 that the dosing should be 100mcg of K2-MK7 per 1000i.u of D3.
You can take even more K2-MK7 than the D3 as it has no toxicity.
But do not take more D3 than the ratio because the calcium absorbed is 20x more than if you weren't taking D3 and the Calcium would overrun K2-MK7 defeating the whole purpose of K2-MK7 and D3 supplementation.
      My self I take 2400mcg of K2-MK7 with 5000i.u of D3.

@allencrider My self I used to be envious of low cholesterol like my best friend at 100, but not anymore infact some researchers have found that the people that have the highest cholesterol actually live the longest lifespans. I'm happy to be somewhat in the middle. When I was a former vegetarian, I had it down to 140.
To me and many others, it's not HDL or LDL to worry about its Lp-a.
Treating Lp-a with Lysine and Proline neutralize Lp-a in the blood before it reaches a damaged artery wall with exposed Lysine and Proline strands.
Then, high dose vitamin C repairs the artery and removes hard calcium and soft plague. This is evident by my reversed coronary artery calcium score 660 to 458 and likely still reversing after another year now. I would expect it to be as low as 375...
      So, no worries over cholesterol.
