    It appears that SEASHINE had truly become your home by the time this was filmed - you’re both so much more comfortable on her and appear so much more confident in handling her. It’s wonderful watching daily life on the Loop from my couch!

      Glad we can take you on the Loop from the comfort of your couch! And thanks for the kind words of encouragement. We definitely became very adept at handling the girl! All of us!

    Did you know…the state of Florida public schools send as many 4th graders as possible to St Augustine each year?
    I chaperoned my daughter’s trip this year and they did the colonial experience, fort, and 1 room school house. So fun!

      Well we can definitely see why! What an amazing source of information. Did you visit before that trip?

      @@TheBoomershines Ham and Potato soup. And a fun fact since I just finished watching. My two sons are 10th generation Floridian. Both my husband and I were born in Florida but his family came over as one of the first settlers in St. Augustine. If you went to the old town, there is a monument at the Catholic Church with the first settler's names on it and their name is on it, Papi. They were indentured servants from Menorca, Spain. We have serious Florida street cred! I so enjoy your videos, I will have a list of questions soon that you will probably cover in future episodes.Shine on!

    GREAT VIDEO! We always enjoy St Augustine. We stayed at the same marina and even had dinner at the same restaurant a couple of years ago. We even carried our pirate costumes and walked the town dressed up. You are so right, tricky getting in and out. Looking forward to seeing the next leg. But have to ask - what happened to the cats - did they escape?

    • @TheBoomershines
      @TheBoomershines  Месяц назад

      Why did we not think about packing pirate costumes?!? GENIUS! That would have made it even more fun.
      We let the cats out to walk around and explore -- which clearly they enjoyed. Mark was onboard watching them and I was on the dock in case they tried any funny stuff. You will see in future episodes that they did try lots of funny stuff so we soon put a kibosh on outside play. The darn cats kept us on our toes the entire trip.
      Thanks so much for joining our adventure and for the words of encouragement. We REALLY appreciate them!!!

      Sadly the boats we were seeing on this leg were much older than 2022. I am afraid they had been there for many year.

    So who did go under the bridge first? Seashine or the sailboat?

    • @TheBoomershines
      @TheBoomershines  Месяц назад

      Great question! The sailboat has right of way and looked like it was setting up to go under the bridge. We tried radioing the sailboat but it would not answer our calls. The sailboat ended up turning around once it got to the bridge. It was confusing but we were patient and figured it out.

    Just curious, about the videos from 2 years ago when you bought the boat. Just confused the episodes of you buying the boat was 2 years ago. And the new videos are from three weeks ago. Did this adventure happen 2 years ago or is it currently happening? Sorry just lost on timeline.

      No problem. It can be confusing. Like most cruisers and sailors posting footage it is not real time. The time involved with editing is quite substantial. While One is face with the choice of enjoying the trip or editing during the trip and missing the enjoyment of the trip itself. As two busy parents with very active kids, it has taken us up to this point to be in a place of life to dedicate the time and energy to creating and editing content that we feel is worth worthy of putting out there. We also had two family tragedies in a massive stroke suffered by Cinda’s father and my father’s recent passing. We definitely could have edited while doing the loop, but it would have been rushed and not as good of an end product we feel. Hence the time difference. Thanks for understanding and being there no matter when it all occurred. We feel the loop is such a fantastic trip. It is timeless no matter when anyone does it. ⚓️Mark

      So sorry for the confusion. We have explained in multiple videos that we were unable to do the Loop, enjoy the Loop, work, teach school, take care of our kiddos AND edit videos all at the same time. Something had to give so we put video editing on hold until we were back home sitting still. We are sitting still now and it currently takes us about 10 hours to edit each video. Hopefully, we will get faster and better at it as we go as it probably isn't the best use of our time LOL.
      Fun fact that it seems most people are unaware of -- I have yet to find a Looper VLOG that is actually posting in real-time. Most all are delayed to some extent. Plus, it is a safety risk post in real-time (others might not care about that but this Mama Bear was worried about that). But to answer your question, we completed our Loop last summer.
      Thanks for watching and for the question :). Hope I cleared up any confusion.

    So what was wrong with the coolant?

    • @TheBoomershines
      @TheBoomershines  Месяц назад +1

      You may have missed the subtitle in the video, but it seemed to have just been related to the radiator cap. We never had the issue again and constantly checked the nitrates, boil/freeze point, and ph of the coolant and it was always spot on! Thanks for watching!
