Happy new year :) Nice T. sel. such a beauty! The second one is Ybyrapora sooretama (ex. Avicularia sooretama), they are rather small arboreal spiders, but very nice colours. Greetings from germany
I just got back from being deployed in Korea for the last 9months an while i was there i looked up tarantula's shops in Washington and the "spider shoppe" popped up. Their ship is literally a 15 min drive from my base in Washington. I just got back to the states last Thursday and ive already purchased two spiderlings. They have such a cool shop and a huge inventory. I met tyler and the staff they are all super chill. Love this spot 🤟🤟
Congrats Alex you deserve the T sel. You have successful at keeping avics and versi's. I have no idea what that mystery sling is but it is beautiful if it didnt come with an aboreal enclosure id say lava spider but they are terrestrial i believe. Its a beauty cannot wait till i find out what it is.
Thank you so much for the kind words. Hopefully I'll be able to keep these babies alive. At first glance, I thought it was a lava spider as well, but no this one is arboreal and yes the lava spider is terrestrial. Any guesses?
Davus sp. panama (Lava Tarantula)? Thinking the enclosure was part of a trick to the mystery...lol I truly have no idea about that but do know you're one lucky dude😁 🖤🕷️🖤 Glad you're feeling better!!!
You aren't kidding. After being sick from Dec. 21 until New Year would you believe I woke up with a sore throat and fever this morning? So tired of being sick! Hopefully this bout will be mild but the last one kicked my butt! Happy New Year, hope the rest of your year is wonderful and prosperous. :)
@@TarantulaHaven I sincerely hope you do not get as sick as last time. There are so many viruses going around. If you do get worse, maybe you have a secondary infection from last go round?? Regardless, I wish you well my friend!🤗
Sorry that you didn't have a great time lately. Get well soon! Wow, a T. seladonia. The mystery spider is awesome, too. I wouldn't have had idea what species it is. Now I know thanks to some comments, but I actually have never heard the name before. Have fun with the two little cuties.😊
Happy New Year Alex. I was getting rather worried that we had not heard from you. What a beauty the T.Salidonia (spelling sorry) is. Those colours are just 'wow'. Hope you are back with your usual schedule from now on...I have missed your calm voice and bearded face. Best wishes to your family for the New Year 🥰
Found your channel looking at getting back in to the hobby I had a tarantula for 16 years and have been without for the last 12 … looking to get a few in the next few weeks that T.sel is definitely a bucket list one wow 😯 but think I will ease my way back in with a GBB and a curly and a Arizona blonde
Happy New Year, Alex! Sorry you all have been dealing with illness. Seems to be universal. No guess on the mystery sling but enjoyable to see both slings! Great bundles of affection from snowy Utah!
Get better soon Alex! Congrats on your T Seladonia! I have one too and it's not as hard to raise as you may think. I barely see it though lol. The mystery one no idea lol
Thank you! Yeah I’ve been told they are arboreal pet holes but they are so gorgeous. Glad to hear they’re not too tough. I’m still worried. Just tried to feed them today and they didn’t want it. 😔
I always thought the vials wee to ship baby spiders as they usually have lids. I also notice they use alot of that nice yellow color. In the shoppe, on the box and the tissue paper. Very professional! I live in Oregon so they are pretty close to me too. I don't own any spiders, nor Tarantulas, but leaarned all I know from kind people such as yourself. Thank You!!!
Those tiny vials usually are used to ship the smallest of tarantulas but I've seen them used in spiderling enclosures as a water dish. You just spike them into the substrate and fill to the top. Thank you for the kind words. :)
My whole family had influenza A before Christmas! I still have a cough super annoying. Hope you start feeling better. I love the spider shoppe. Great prices great customer service 👍
I tell you what, it is going around. Would you believe after being sick from Christmas to new Year, I'm having a relapse? I woke up with a sore throat and fever this morning. Don't know if it's the same thing or something new but I'm tired of being sick! Spider Shoppe is great! Tyler is good people. :)
Ybyrapora sooretama, not diversipes. It could also be gamba (which is in the hobby), but I haven't seen them in years, and they only have sooretama for sale on the site. They're care is closer to a dwarf Psalmopeous species, very bolty, can be defensive. They are really cool though, and on my shopping list for this year.
I think I have figured out the mystery T i was looking at Dolicothele species besides the blue dwarf beauty and came across a pic of Dolicothele mineirum and as a sling looks just like the mystery sling. I hope it is i'd like to be right about this.
Thank you! For tiny tarantulas I feed them fruit flies or pre-killed pallid roach nymphs. If you live in an area that allows red runner roaches you can use those as well.
Awwww Alex I am so happy for you!!!! I'd be over the moon too. I'm quite jelly lol. I guessed the diversipes too. So I have no clue. Will be checking out the spider shop hopefully in the near future, Lord willing. Tyfs God bless you
So what did the mystery t turn out to be u think? My guess was either T. ockerti or one of those different avic sp (not very familiar w those lol) **sorry just saw that it's an Ybyrapora, guess I was kinda close lol
My guess was Iridopelma genus, but none of the species names are working for me for the discount. Side note: I drive a school bus and spent the entire month of November sick. My immune system is locked and loaded now! :)
Check out the comments. A few have gotten it correct! Here’s a hint, I was correct on the genus! I don’t envy you your job. I hear ya about your immune system. I think I’ve caught everything this past year! 😂
I got it thanks for the hint i never heard of the Y sp. sooretama. But man they are beautiful. Now i gotta order one with the code to get the discount ty Alex..

Happy new year! Yes you are correct! Sharp eye. I knew it was Ybyrapora but I had never had any experience with sooretama. 🤓👍🏼
I knew it too! But you were faster. Just saw them on a nice picture of Mariusz Arent.
Aweee 🥲 this man is so wholesome lol so happy about his spiders but wow that T is gorgeous
That is cute lil spider baby nice colors nice surprise

Hello great video unboxing Alex
Thank you! Any guesses on the mystery spider?
such a great episode
Great to have you back Alex, sorry you've not been well, great video. Was thinking it's a A minatrix but think pattern is wrong for that.
Thank you. No it’s not minatrix. I was partially correct! Same genus. 🤓👍🏼
Im about to order my first tarantula from them and im getting more and more excited seeing all these good reviews!
Oh so colourful already 😊
I think it's a Ybyrapora sooretama

I wish they could open one in Ct

Is it a sp. Panama? Sorry to hear your holidays were rough, happy new year! Edit: not a sp. Panama

What does it mean a decent price for a Seladonia in the States? Here in Europe it's around 100$,just curious..keep up the good work and take care, ciao
They're down to about 200 in the states where they were over 400
When they were first introduced they were selling for about $600. Now they’re selling for around $200. Still steep but much lower than $600! 😅
Nice additions Alex. I'm gonna guess at Ybyrapora diversipes for the mystery sling
Haha, just watched to the end and seen I'm wrong🤦
Thank you! So close! That was my guess but it was incorrect. :)
