    I've done the 10 day Vipassana course 3 time. It's my life nost valuable course i ever explored. I recommend everyone to do it enter the life of wisdom.

    I do 45 minutes a day every day unguided without fail, this is a very good video and I have used it in times of need, thank you.

      Brother to really learn and understand vipassana fully u need to go for a 10 day course ..there u will learn the whole technique step by step under proper teachers guidance..

    The robot thing is slightly annoying and the voice is rather unclear. Otherwise it would appear to be an ok video. this was meant to be constructive criticism.

    If you are not an assistant teacher which I hope you are then you should not be teaching this technique. This is not the best explanation. I recommend anyone interested in vipassana do a 10 day course or practice the mini anapanas as taught by SN goenkaji

      +linda Couchman No that's not true, it is indeed true that Vipassana is being taught by different teachers, but the difference between them and S.N. Goenka is that he had the ability to bring it from Myanmar to India and then around the world through which people can take advantage of it in many european and american countries, it's not an easy job to make someone understand what Vipassana is when a large number of people come to learn it, you need to learn how to show gratitude you poor human.

      Nidhi Bobal did you know the suttas ? The Pali Canon where the Buddhas lessons are registred ? The way that Goenka theaches are not registred in the Pali Canon. www.accesstoinsight.org/lib/index.html if is true that Goenka style is the same of the Buddha way it is not registred in the Canon ? anapana sati is there, the body scan not.

    thanks for the video, i especially liked the way you explained that the mind will wander and then "when this moment arrives" you bring your attention back. since the present moment is such a slippery idea - for me at least - i sort of imagine it as something that constantly swells up in front of me when i take the chance to look at it...do you think that is a fair way of thinking about it?

      themanwhofellinbuffalo thinking about the present moment take you out of the present moment. Trying not to think about the present moment is another thinking which also take you out of the present moment. Detailed Awareness of everything that happened in the present moment put you right smack in the center of the present moment...until your thinking came in again guiding you to thinking about the past, present, or future which has nothing to do with the present moment, or guiding you to imagine what the present moment would looked like...yeah...thinking...what a wonderful thing...isn't it? LOL.

      Try.a 10 day course of vipassana bro..its not recommend to do vipassana at home...first time vipassana should be done at a center only

      Not quite - point of focus, should be around 1,5 - 2m before you on the floor - so head should be a little bit down.

    You could practise Vipassana at home provided you have successfully completed at least one 10-day course either at any of the meditation centers or at any of the Gypsy camps.As far as teaching is concerned,unless you are an Assistant Teacher in this tradition,you are not an authorised person to teach Vipassana to others.I hope this helps!Guys,what do you say?

    You are not allowed to teach this technique without being appointed as assistant teacher of vipassna. Vipassna is a mental practice which can be harmful for those who try to do at home. This video will help you to earn money but not people to learn.

      kahlschlag17 you should watch your breath only and you don't have to do anything to your breath. It's a awareness exercise, not a breath exercise. sometime it will slow down then again sometime it won't. But one thing for sure is that your breathing pattern will follow your mind pattern.

      Brother it is not recommend to do vipassana at home if u havent done a 10 day course..
      To learn and to understand vipassana properly you must attend a 10 day course of vipassana..then u can pratice at home as much as you want

      You don’t have to do 10 days in order to practice by yourself at home. That’s what goenka said. But he’s not the final said on vipassana meditation. Plus his method is only one interpretation of the Sutra.

    What is the difference between Vipassana & Shamata?

      Arcane Insignia Vipassana is not changing your breathing but being aware of it and noticing the comings and going of itches and aches as you sit there. Shamata is where you focus on a point in your head and after a few months get enough control of your mind to control the point & make it more defined - bigger & smaller, closer & further, & different colors. It eventually leads (at least in Tibet) to memorizing huge manadalas and using them as a fixed point to syudy in detail in your mind. You need to do both to reach non-dual awareness which leads to 'Enlightenment.'

      Try to go for a 10 day vipassana course bro..u will learn the whole technique there and then all of ur doubts will be cleared and then you can pratice it at home as much as you want

    Do not harm yourself & people by teaching while you are not single moment experienced people. Delete this video ASAP (Good for you & for others). This is not vipassana, leave this technique in its original form, do not mix it with any false intentions/instructions. Again requesting you to delete this video and focus on your right way of practise by joining 10days vipassana course & take benefit!!!

    Don't do at home. Before Vipassana ana Panna should be followed. This will give negative effect on body and mind. It's bad that you are teaching wrong things . Who will be responsible if something bad happen to people.
