I recently purchased and returned the Sony x95l hoping it would be similar to my 77c2 but better due to size. Sadly it did not come close the oled picture quality. I ordered the 83 g4. I don’t see myself going away from oled again.
G4! Just imagine what will happen in this year’s TV Shootout: I don’t think the Bravia 9 will beat the OLEDs out there no matter how great of a miniLED TV it is. It can get brighter than the OLEDs longer, sure but brightness didn’t really help the miniLEDs in last year’s event did it. G4 all the way!
Think really comes down to personal preferences. Many enjoy the X95L. Yeah G4 83" is better for gaming, better blacks , apparently highlights more sparkly on OLED . Sony for those who like the system , worry about burn in or sports , daylight viewing . Plus these new Netflix , Prime modes may be great . Blue Pho-led is having problems , so still probably 2026 earliest . So G5 will have the extra layer to boost NITS and colour volume , so probably no need to hold off on G4 , as always improvements . But think G5 won't be a massive jump
Shoot out from last year had what Mini LED in catagory? This would be the only Mini LED to bang. S95D will lose because of the lose it has with the screen finish. HDR detail Bravia 9 could take especially if there is more content shot around it, g4 of course will have the contrast but this is actually newly created LED technology never seen never used, which is why I am interested. As I said start of the video, kind of “reinventing the wheel”.
@@AllAboutTKK I’m referring to the Value Electronics shootout. Last year we didn’t have a Sony miniLED in the competition since X95L wasn’t available in 65” in the US. I believe it had miniLEDs from Samsung, Hisense, Sharp. The story last year was OLED destroying miniLEDs in that competition. This year, perhaps Sony can send the Bravia 9 and A95L out there to compete.
@@nestroit5010 given more emotion can be added in dark, scenes , low mid tier tones , a good enough TV will make the HDR highlights stand out just fine . The mid to low is the meat of a movie. Also someone loving a B9 vs a G4 may be mainly watching in a bright room, ambient light on any TV will kill contrats making the G4 and B9 look similar at black. The only place where I think HDR really shines with high nit ability is natural documentaries, gaming and odd cartoon. If I want fireworks display. just go the the annual ones in your city . In a dark room a 1000NIt HDR displayed well processed and tone mapped , will always beat a natural 4000Nits natural tone mastered poorly at the studio. Yeah if you want to see Antarctica in all it's glory with a great light show . the best HDR dynamic range is best 10000nits done well is about limit for comfortable viewing
Hard to say. There is some confusing information out there. Can the Bravia 9 really hit 4000 nits peak brightness? Fomo said so, Vincent Theo said it is only about 2500-3000 nits. If that’s the case, then even with the cutting edge backlight, it cannot compete with an oled (especially not the G4 or A95L). Maybe the next generation will be the big jump. The reviews will show the numbers and the advantages the Bravia 9 might have. For TKK, there is no question though, you should go with the G4. It’s just the most complete package👍 especially for you as a gamer. 144 hz on 83, come on! Unbeatable!😉
i'm getting the G4 77 inch on Friday. i was going to get the 83 inch but just could not justify paying 2000 more for 6 more inches. eventually i will get the larger size when it drops to what I paid for my 77 inch :-). Not sure yet if the larger size I end up with will be an OLED or LED. I may get the LED for the 2 extra inches.
G4 ALL DAY. Unless this is some kind of new led technology, oled has a wider color palette, more color and saturation purity, instant pixel response, so no issues with fast moving action trails and infinite contrast. Self emissive technology is just so far beyond led now that sure you'll see a different and it will be brighter...but will it be better than oled??? It will probably just scratch a different itch and you'll be trading perfect black for much higher nits. That said, I'm imagining that 4000 nits in a dark room without any ambient light would probably damage your eyes over time. For me, I'm sticking to oled tech for now.
Once you go OLED, it's hard to go back. The Bravia 9 ushers in the upcoming 4k nits content. If brightness was a bone of contention with you in OLEDs, then go for the Bravia 9. The G4 brightness won't match the Bravia 9. If HDR is your thing, then go with Braiva 9. These are just my thoughts. I will be sticking with OLED because of the viewing angles. I have a big household.
Upcoming 4k content is already here.... look at any hdr game from the last 3 years that has hdr sliders that can output 4k hits... Example, I just started the new hogwartz game, it can go upto 6k nits.... G4 being brighter... brother it's the same tv as g3 until 3% window... just comes in a 83 inch size and has some processing sprinkled on top. Viewing angles = they should match as sony added x wide angle and x anti reflection. I wouldnt assume until they I woulda seen it side by side....
Brightness has never been an issue for me but, striking detail highlights purposely being hit over a really large screen I do welcome. And I have many that will sit in my sweet spot but there is only one enthusiast in my home, Bravia 9 should I go that route won’t look at all bad at an angle to where my kids would say “oh dad this sucks”.
@@AllAboutTKK Ignoring bright room viewing . My take is after a certain point just give more head room for an impactful tonemapping . A movie mastered to 4000Nits could have just as easily been mastered to 1000 NITS . Does a 4000NIT master make it better , not necessarily . The most important criteria is how well it was mastered. You hear this with audio songs all the time - the mastering is the most important , not that the song is mastered to 116 decibels . Same when 1080p came out. A crappy 1080p master looks much worse than a 720 well done master. LOTR will still look great at 720p as well mastered . Again with music how the mid tones are done is the most important as some speakers are warm or bright in the treble. The voice is mostly in the mid tones , same as an acoustic guitar , So great HDR is important for the mids as well for faces and the bulk of the output . Lots of SDR movies look great . Plus 4000Nits is not twice as bright as 2000NIts , due to the scale it uses. As for your comment TKK about say a large 10% or greater highlight at high NITS . You start to mimic real life in a dark room .Ie eye strain , or need to look away. Plus we can only see so many stops of light at once , either we see the bright skies or the details in the dark shadows , not both at the same time , with small specular highlights not a problem, but a 4000 Nit Sun taking up 10% of the screen will mean, not possible to see into a cave if in same image . Plus even in old westerns on a CRT TV you know the sun is bright in your brain, so do you need a literal impact?. Hell I look away from car headlights now in movies in a dark room. Many people watching SDR movies in dark room would need the full screen brightness of The Bavia 9 turned down , or have some mood lighting or soft low lamps on , Good News , People recognising the importance of processing and tonemapping Sony and Panasonic are very good at it . LG has really stepped up and now have 5 years of updates to tweak HDR and colour mapping . Brightness/Contrast and colour are tools to enhance the picture. Like how the G4 is meant to give each object a separate feel to increase the 3D like effect . The Bravia 9 would work well in HDR in a dark room , with some soft ambient lighting . First because you can them run it brighter . Second because you run it brighter and you have some low ambient light the blacks will look blacker, as will be harder to see less perfect blacks. The dilemma of TVs is we have not reached the end game. If the LG 83" G4 was the end game , then if you have money and space buy if , it's good to it dies . Unlike most great speakers or amps people buy are approximate end games. You TKK solve this dilemma as continue buy on a regular basis. But is $6000 a good buy if upgrade in 5 years,. or what if you keep for 10 years and TVs are so much better . Good news is the G4, C2, A80L, S95C etc are still great TVs and you can use them till they die. Plus don't pay $6000 wait to see discounts end of cycle so now $ 4000 so can bring forward next upgrade sooner. Plus I think gamers get more value from upgrades , more likely 4000 master , more likely full BT2020 , more likely 240Hz , good news monitors can be upgraded for a lot less . So if something comes out you have option to watch on your 5 year old G4 , or a new super duper 36" monitor or both . Or get a 55" super duper TV for bedroom for $1500 . Plus remind yourself it's only a TV . most folks just buy the biggest LCD with reasonable quality they can afford for say $ 600-$1500 and they think their TV is wonderful. Tl/DR If your TV has great tone mapping , remapping a 4000Nits to your TVs native 1500Nits will still look fantastic in a dark room - you won't feel you are missing anything , unless other TV is side by side Cancel Reply
Sony will be still making an 8 series oled this year. Sony will stick with qd oled next year. They skiped the year after the a9g tot he a90j and have done this many other years with skipping flagship oled like the a8h year. This is just sony and they will then promote the mini led this year. They just released the a95l the end of last year so this was expected for me. But yeah the mini led looks like it may be impressive give it a look first who knows? Lol
There will be no backlight Televisions that honestly out preform Oled that does not use backlight Televisions. This is definitely why The New Micro LED Televisions 📺 without any backlight LED Televisions!❤😂
For me it was and is coming down to G4 or Bravia 9. I've decided, unless reviews come up with some horrific flaws that I am getting Bravia 9. I use my TV as a monitor and I am on it 10+ hours most days. This Bravia 9 will be amazing. I don't sit in the dark. I have some ambient light on. The contrast, HDR impact, brightness all of it will be great. Sure it's not OLED contrast, but it's more than enough. The HDR impact will be beastly. I doubt blooming will be all that noticeable and I don't have to deal with the OLED ASBL or any risks. I really like the G4, I would get it otherwise. But Bravia 9 was always the TV I was really gunning for. I come from an older LED FALD anyway. So there is simply only upgrade and advantages, no giving up anything for me. If I was already on OLED maybe I feel different.
Rumor has has it Samsung is thinking of moving totally away from oled with mini led super sales and if sony gets Tkk and me to move from on oled to mini led series 9 , Samsung and Sony are the only 2 tv manufacturers that have Qd oleds so it's not a huge money maker for Samsung, If sony kills it with this tech I could see Samsung getting this tech from Sony and moving on from.oled .
The Bravia 9 is the brightest tv ever from corner to corner but the lg g4 and s95d have the most color pop and and 3d pop with perfect blacks specially the lg g4.
Good Evening TKK! I would wait. LED technology is all over the place with performance, especially with PQ quality in gaming. The Sony series 9 sounds good (and I am sure it will be a good TV) but is it all Sony touts it to be (especially with next gen OLEDs coming this year) or they went the LED route to maximize profit margins?
Nothing to be confused about LG G4 it's far superior, bravia 9 is not a flagship Just a very good LCD TV, it's still going to have blooming it's still going to have poor viewing angles and all the problems of LCD.... Sony are only pushing this because of brightness Which is not everything....
lol. Sony said it’s their flagship, so it is. A tv doesn’t have to be OLED to be flagship, if that were the case then anything not QD-OLED would be redundant, just not how it works. The confusion is which I want to go with, that is the context of me saying I’m confused, because I am. I am not 100% now sold on G4, what I am looking for is different than most, keeping in mind I normally buy a couple of the best TVs each year. My hunt is just different.
How do you know it is far superior engineers are there to bridge differiences may be bravia 9 his better wait until head to head what you need to understand the new mastering monitor his about to change the way we view things tv will change gaming will change the problem with oled his diming. But that will improve so don't dismiss a tech you may be in for a shock how mini led have improved
Sony should know better than to go backwards. Put that led next to OLED And see who wins in image clarity, clarity clarity. It's called PQ . Do you remember what that means Sony? Oled All day everyday. I will be purchasing the G4 83" soon
You're not the only one that this puts a (good?) wrinkle in their plans. Didn't expect Sony's "tech demo" to come at us in an actual product so soon. Use my TV basically as a monitor for a gaming PC that is also all things entertainment/surfing/streaming etc. S95D with anti-glare to combat the windows behind me but also chance of burn-in over time or Bravia 9. Damn, damn, damn, awesome and frustrating thing at the same time lol. I will assume both will be a bit better than my 11 year old Sony.
I’m a Sony guy but I think the obsession with brightness and Mini LED is a mistake. I’m glad I have the A95L, but if I was in the market this year, the G4 looks like the definitive pick.
Why would you think I don’t save money? A percentage of what man makes should be invested, saved and some enjoyed. This actually goes under the invested (because this channel is a business) and enjoyed bucket.
Hey buddy I like what Sony has done with 9 series miniled TV but I still want the awesome LG G4. It's like once you go OLED it's hard to go back to anything else. Just my opinion.😊
Just my 2 cents: You have a lot of OLEDS including the A95L. Try something new. If it doesn't work out the A95L still goes blow for blow with the G4 (according to Classy).
Hey 1 other thing TKK you gotta ask yourself, the nits the Sony can deliver etc....what content is out there to watch that will take advantage of those nit levels in a consumer environment, outside of Spears and Munsel, Jeniffer Gala demos etc? You won't see the benefits of the TV unless it's pushing content the TV can take advantage of.
I think surprises like Bravia 9 are what make this whole TV hobby exciting. I’m thinking of maybe keeping LG OLED for PC gaming but maybe getting a Sony for movie brightness blasting the fuck out of my eyes 😂💀
I had already made the purchase decision for the 77 s90 c, but I decided to wait for the s95D because anti-glare interests me, since I live in the Nordic countries. And then came the Bravia 9....a difficult decision!
Honestly , feels like the way to go is to have one great OLED and one great mini led esp with content being graded at 4K. I had no plan on upgrading my X95J and being done with TVs once I get my A95L/G4 . Given that this backlight driver is a new tech I would be waiting to get the 2025 version while the QD OLED and MLA OLED are try and tested technology . … my wallet already cries over buying an OLED , it will scream in pain if I buy another tv after lol . I would’ve been very curious to have you review the sony soundbar esp if I get an A95L , I don’t think it makes sense to buy the HTA7000 when the new soundbar is available . Cheers for sharing your thoughts!
I assume the equipment violent to the QD-OLED A95L will be the Bravia 10, I think digital trend said we probably won’t see that until later this year which I assume the fall just like last year. Honestly, I think they should just skip this year so they can drop the QDOLED at a respectable time in 2025 (late winter, early spring).
Im leaning towards the Bravia 9 (even for myself), but im slightly skeptical. FYI: All these years bro u find the best damn braiders on earth. Your shit be crispy af lol.
According to FOMO the A95L will be getting the new GEN 3 QD-OLED. So technically, there will be a new Sony QD-OLED this year just not marketed as new. Also will be challenging to know before buying whether you would be getting Gen2 or Gen3 display.
If possible get both and compare them for the things you like and do. You can always return one of them. You can also always show us stuff as well, hint hint, ha ha..
I think if taking screen brightness and how it impacts pq will show more pop and therefore miniled will be better in that regard. The benefits of oled will be minimal. Ofc the problem with miniled is the software. But even regular led can have more pop than oled if the picture is dim in oleds. I wanted oleds due to how sensitive my eyes are to high brightness, but for a tv several feet away it should not be a problem. Hopefully reviewers can measure the pq enough between so ppl can see which is better and how brightness is important.
Bravia 9 stop me right off my track man damn got me thinking 🤔 I was on track of 83 “ G4 damn Sony why are u doing this to me man 😅 I’ve decided to hold off for a minute
@AllAboutTKK dude, some context..this is an enthusiast channel, you talk about flagship tv's. Even hicense do 144. Dont know why your defending that 120hz in 2024 is acceptable on an extremely expensive display, it isnt and you know it
Yes this is an enthusiastic channel, I’m the enthusiast, 144 does not have to be a standard because consoles aren’t there yet, it’s a very PC centric thing. It is not a failure point, better yes but that’s my opinion. It’s no way I can’t have a rebuttal opinion on a channel that I own.
Mini led is this close to Oled. I think a lot of people are sleeping on the jump in backlight control as the tech was already close to oled in some content. WOLED desperately needs to move to phosphorus
They were suggesting the bravia 7 is more like x95L and the 9 much better. The 9 is going to have to be special to get oled owners interested. Haven't seen time schedule for release but apparently soon
@@MrUpscaleman from digital trends." Due to what causes DSE on a technical level, some may argue it can only apply to LCD-based TVs. However, similar effects can be seen in OLED-based displays - thus the term is often applied - so we'll include those types of TVs as well, but address them separately." Good to know you haven't seen it on your tvs but I have seen others complain about it on recent TVs
@@MrUpscaleman so are you agreeing with me that there are screen uniformity issues that even the people that don't know what they are talking about see it enough to comment on what they see and just incorrectly describe it as DSE?
I'm the same boat, but I'm waiting until there's a major price drop on both TV's before deciding. I briefly had the QN900D 65", and there was minimal blooming. I also had dropouts with the One Connect Box at 4K240.
I think you should still get the G4. Given Sony’s track record, The Bravia 9 will be phenomenal no doubt but at the end of the day, you’ll probably be still yearning for an amazing OLED experience.
Don't forget bravia 9 is only a good quality LCD panel with back lighting, and the LEDs are going to be about an inch and a half apart, no it won't be very precise and yes there will be blooming it's impossible not to. This is not a flagship.....
It’s interesting to see a TV brand boast that Mini LED is the best TV tech when they were bashing Samsung Neo QLEDs because they didn’t have “infinite contrast”. QD OLED took everyone by surprise. The 180 from Sony is crazy to see. I think the real reason is Sony Tax on a Sony OLED vs Samsung OLED cost had them scrambling for marketshare. 2024 is a Samsung and LG year. Sony took a nap this year. G4, C4, S95D, or S90D is the real decision to make. Just my 2 cents
A95L is still on the table, I don’t know that I value S95D more than A95L, maybe as much as? Maybe so but even so, it’s year older vs year newer. Respects to your perspective.
You are only confused because you don’t understand the most important color in a tv. What is the most important in a Tv? Yes all these TVs are great, but name me the top 5 TVs during a generation
During what generation? I can promise you I’ve been apart of this personally longer than you have. Pick and choose what you wanna know top five of what era? I’m not one of these go to the forums guys, I actually buy and been buying this stuff plus 25 years strong buddy.
The A95L is staying as the flagship OLED. it's still better than the G4. If you want the brightest mini led, the Bravia 9 is your TV. Sony upscaling and google TV are better than others
You know you gotta get the Bravia 9 TKK! You know deep down it’s gonna blow your mind in a way you never imagined an LED based tv to be able to do. lol
I’ve pointed out many times before on many podcasts that even though the oled looks beautiful and the fact it is, and it’s getting better as far as it’s definition detail and whatever. The point though is that OLED has an acrylic pastel look to it and all Oleds look this way.Hate to say it, but that’s not real even though LED is still not real looking but is definitely more real looking and especially now with the new model nine from Sony.I’ll be getting it. I do love the Sony QOLED’s they’re absolutely beautiful and might be getting it for my bedroom though. I have a background in photography and that’s why I’m so critical.😢
The reason I recommend sony tv's lately is because of their upscaler. If you watch tv most channels are either 720 or 1080 other brands make their strech and fitting of the image look washed out and ugly. Sony tv's have magic it always looks good. No crushed colors. I would like to see this tv in person first to upgrade.
Bravia 9. What do you have to lose? Nothing, just return it if it doesnt meet the expectations. G4 is the same tv as the g3. But in a 83 in size and some nice to haves... its your bread and butter, you know it'll be good. But if you want to try something new, bravia 9
Most previewers on other channels are literally repeating Sony's talking points with nothing negative to say about the Bravia 9. Almost seems like there's an embargo or non-disclosure agreement.
Man as soon as i think about something u talked about it.. i cant wait to see a comparison between them & review before i buy.. i will wait. Thanks tkk
I have no doubt that even though Sony have made their flagship and LCD most people will be hard-pressed to tell the difference between a 24 frame per second movie on an OLED or an LCD Sony motion will be top-notch either way as for gaming. This TV is not that impressive as it is a VA panel And no VA panels have sub 10 ms response times.
If you don't use any interpolation it's very easy to tell an OLED and LCD apart by motion. LCDs create a continuous blurs and OLED's have a full on image doubling effect similar to being drunk. Neither is ideal, but OLED is def much harder on the eyes.
For movies that bravia 9 could dethrone oled but for gaming its gonna be tough to beat a oled. We gonna have to see if it maintains the picture quality in game mode also the response time of oled is always gonna be better.
You are correct sony gaming division seams to be at war. With sony tv they the need to nock their heads together imagine your number one in gaming and you dont offer proper support for gamers 4 hdmi. Please
Same Same man, also stuck between S95D and Bravia 9. Didn't count on that tech demo becoming reality so soon. Because I basically use the TV as a Gaming PC Monitor/Entertainment hub the Bravia would relieve my worry about potential burn in. But also, the Anti-glare from the S95D seems great for my window situation. Would like to know when these go on sale. Going out on a limb but I assume either will should be at least a slight upgrade to my 11 year old Sony panel ;p
I understand you I am also weighing in my options but it really depends if you want OLED or Mini LED I’m leaning more towards the G4 tho because I love OLED but understand the Bravia 9 isn’t an ordinary Mini-LED
mini led still don't deliver perfect black or better contrast compare to w oled or qdot that bravia 9 going to be expensive & how will it compare to A95L C4 G4 tv
@AllAboutTKK honestly I got to point where think wot the point buying a new tv when they realise ever year just over saturating the market for me I say buy 2023 model & save yourself cash heard rumour that bravia 9 4.000 nits but wot content support that high hdr movies or for gaming tkk
@@AllAboutTKK He's explaining how the majority of the comments on these channels are constantly praising Oled TVs as the best which to some might be. That constant praise of Oled TVs online whether it's regular Oled or the new QD-Oled can come across as folks being a part of a cult. We have a true Sony LED TV flagship for this year but ppl on comments sections are dissing it BC it isn't Oled. Oled TVs have really spoiled & rotten the minds of some ppl into not accepting anything other than Oled, that's cult like behaviour. If the 85 Inch 7 is only $3,499 then that should tell you it's LAST Yr's X95L just rebranded and there's zero difference between the 7 and 9 beyond the audio - based on Sony's OWN Website Comparison. This lineup on paper is a joke. We are yrs away from 4,000 Nit content being a thing - if ever.
The 9 is on a whole different level all together, tv has components that no other tv on this earth has, maybe next year will but nah, 9 is a different beast. The mention of 4,000 nits is almost the same argument for 8k panels. Video games can for sure take advantage of those peak details.

It’s really hard to compare Mini-Led to Oled - I’m sure there’s quite a few that are now waiting for the G4 vs Bravia9 comparison. I have an a80L myself but need a bigger tv. Am I interested in G4 sure, but I’m also very interested in Bravia9. A11 vs XR clear that’s what I want to know
Man the Theater U’s are gonna be hella dope, especially for bedroom watching! Sony tv audio is awesome on the a80L, but I have also have b&w with avr. Use case plays a huge factor as well as I’m in a bright room. Seeing those reflections on 83g4 could be annoying. For me, picture is #1 and then processing. features come in 3rd. After hearing about it, it seems Bravia 9 will do things no tv out there led and oled will be able to do. It’s going to provide the best of both worlds with as little compromise as possible out of the current technologies available

Black = contrast = KING, will always be king, the real pop, the 3D effect. nothing beats black, most important criteria, ironic.
Bravia 9 all the way! The Prime calibration mode got me excited! Imagine how Fallout and The Boys will look on it 🔥 🔥
Glad I waited for this announcement before I made my purchase decision. The 75inch Bravia 9 has my name on it together with the bar 9 soundbar.
Sony, no Bologney! They got the image processing on point
i'm getting the G4 77 inch on Friday. i was going to get the 83 inch but just could not justify paying 2000 more for 6 more inches. eventually i will get the larger size when it drops to what I paid for my 77 inch :-). Not sure yet if the larger size I end up with will be an OLED or LED. I may get the LED for the 2 extra inches.
Hello from India! How has your experience been with G4? I cannot wait for it to be launched in India! Also thoughts on remote?
Well said.
Many people watching SDR movies in dark room would need the full screen brightness of The Bavia 9 turned down , or have some mood lighting or soft low lamps on ,
Good News , People recognising the importance of processing and tonemapping
Sony and Panasonic are very good at it .
Tl/DR If your TV has great tone mapping , remapping a 4000Nits to your TVs native 1500Nits will still look fantastic in a dark room - you won't feel you are missing anything , unless other TV is side by side

@@nimblegoat great comment, great execution on getting a very logical point across.
Thank you.
That's a million dollar question. How good is the bravia 9 blooming handling, how close can it get to the oleds contrast and blacks.
Lol
G4 there is no other this year I have a B3 77 and love it in a way wish I got the C3 but I have a B7 2019 still kicks so LG all the way
There will be no backlight Televisions that honestly out preform Oled that does not use backlight Televisions.
Looking like end game home theater equipment. That 85 at 5500 is tempting
Price is flawless, $1000 under G4!
I would want to see 83" G4 vs Bravia 9 next to it. Sony supposed to have great backlight control. But I'm still leaning towards 83" G4.
Well said.
This guy must be a genius because he knows everything about a tv that he hasn't even seen yet.
Sony tends to use the crappy CSOT panels for the 65 and 75 inch models. If you want the premium LCD panel, you will have to go for the 85 inch.
TKK please let your heart teach you how to properly save your money 💰 at hand ✋️ right now!
Agreed.
Just my 2 cents:
You have a lot of OLEDS including the A95L.
Try something new. If it doesn't work out the A95L still goes blow for blow with the G4 (according to Classy).
Great say.
Well said.
The mastering monitor have sent to many studios it won't take long for everybody to get on board once they see the advantages of high dynamic range
Bravia 9. Please brother I need your opinion on this.
G4🎉
knowing sony Bravia 9 65inch $8000 lol love your content
It’s 5500
I dont know TKK, you used to OLEDS by now but that new Sony mini is a monster. I will be getting the 85in. Cant go wrong in my opinion.
I think surprises like Bravia 9 are what make this whole TV hobby exciting. I’m thinking of maybe keeping LG OLED for PC gaming but maybe getting a Sony for movie brightness blasting the fuck out of my eyes 😂💀
I want to get the Bravia 9. Ready to move on from my a90j
Judging by your overly excited behaviour I think you already know which one you will end up getting lol. Ty for the vid as always brother.
Getting the 9...
Max Luv.
B9 sounds too good to be true.. if it's the best led ever made, it's worth checking out.
Im a tech and its Sony for me every single time
So that sony Bravia 7 Oled is just basic oled and not as good as A95L?
No. Bravia 8 is WOLED
@@AllAboutTKKbut it has to have MLA to be has bright as the G4.....
Microled is the future but still pricey until then only OLED
Bravia 9 stop me right off my track man damn got me thinking 🤔 I was on track of 83 “ G4 damn Sony why are u doing this to me man 😅 I’ve decided to hold off for a minute
Minimum size : 65', and only 120hz. Already ruled out for pc
lol ruled out? So every other LG since C9 has been ruled out! Nah man that ain’t keeping it real.
@@AllAboutTKK its the principal, they shouldn't be offering obsolete refresh rates on a market filled with 144 and in some cases 240
The market isn’t filled with 144Hz though. The standard for tv panels is still 120.
Tkk go for that Sony my brother 😎💯
Mini led is this close to Oled. I think a lot of people are sleeping on the jump in backlight control as the tech was already close to oled in some content. WOLED desperately needs to move to phosphorus
❤Hai please reply which tv upscaling is more better in this 720p to 4k upscaling lg g4 or sony bravia 9 .please reply
I think... definitely go with the G4!!!! It's dam amazing!
My guy! The Bravia 9 is compelling. I’m curious to see what it’s all about
They were suggesting the bravia 7 is more like x95L and the 9 much better. The 9 is going to have to be special to get oled owners interested. Haven't seen time schedule for release but apparently soon
As long as blooming exists it's a no-go for me.
Banding and DSE bother me more than blooming
@A_Burly_Gnoll the last 3 sony tvs I've bought have zero banding and dse is not an oled term.
@@MrUpscaleman from digital trends." Due to what causes DSE on a technical level, some may argue it can only apply to LCD-based TVs. However, similar effects can be seen in OLED-based displays - thus the term is often applied - so we'll include those types of TVs as well, but address them separately."
Good to know you haven't seen it on your tvs but I have seen others complain about it on recent TVs
@@A_Burly_Gnoll MOST people who know what they're talking about use it only in reference to LCD.

For me I’m still going towards 83” G4 or 85” QN900D although the Sonys are sounding great
I'm the same boat, but I'm waiting until there's a major price drop on both TV's before deciding. I briefly had the QN900D 65", and there was minimal blooming. I also had dropouts with the One Connect Box at 4K240.
Bravía 9 will destroy de Qn900D, so G4 or bravía 9 IMHO
I think you should still get the G4. Given Sony’s track record, The Bravia 9 will be phenomenal no doubt but at the end of the day, you’ll probably be still yearning for an amazing OLED experience.
Thanks for the feedback.
go with the bravia 9. lol I'm a big fan of mini-led
Don't forget bravia 9 is only a good quality LCD panel with back lighting, and the LEDs are going to be about an inch and a half apart, no it won't be very precise and yes there will be blooming it's impossible not to. This is not a flagship.....
This is flagship for an LED standard.
Tkk I am feeling the same way. I want the lgg4 83 but now I am leaning to Bravia b9 🤦♂️
The A95L is staying as the flagship OLED. it's still better than the G4. If you want the brightest mini led, the Bravia 9 is your TV. Sony upscaling and google TV are better than others

The Bravia 9 is gonna look absolutely stunning very tempting

Thank you for sharing your perspective
The reason I recommend sony tv's lately is because of their upscaler. If you watch tv most channels are either 720 or 1080 other brands make their strech and fitting of the image look washed out and ugly. Sony tv's have magic it always looks good. No crushed colors. I would like to see this tv in person first to upgrade.
Well said.
Bravia 9. What do you have to lose? Nothing, just return it if it doesnt meet the expectations.
G4 is the same tv as the g3. But in a 83 in size and some nice to haves... its your bread and butter, you know it'll be good. But if you want to try something new, bravia 9
Well articulated
Most previewers on other channels are literally repeating Sony's talking points with nothing negative to say about the Bravia 9. Almost seems like there's an embargo or non-disclosure agreement.
Is that right, damn.

Please
Sticking with my A95L
Same Same man, also stuck between S95D and Bravia 9. Didn't count on that tech demo becoming reality so soon. Because I basically use the TV as a Gaming PC Monitor/Entertainment hub the Bravia would relieve my worry about potential burn in. But also, the Anti-glare from the S95D seems great for my window situation. Would like to know when these go on sale. Going out on a limb but I assume either will should be at least a slight upgrade to my 11 year old Sony panel ;p
Facts. You feel me.
There announcement was underwhelming no update to the A95L I’ll stick to my A95L the soundbars look legit tho!!
A95L is here to stay with 2024 software updates, tv so strong they don’t need another. It’ll damn near whip the G4.
A glorified LCD TV is not a flagship, G4 any day....
Glorified?!?
I understand you I am also weighing in my options but it really depends if you want OLED or Mini LED I’m leaning more towards the G4 tho because I love OLED but understand the Bravia 9 isn’t an ordinary Mini-LED
Well said.
Wait for the Sony.
TKK your a BOSS so for you is LG G4 - 83
Get the Bravia 9.
OLED rules. Done and out.
G4. No brainer
Go with the G4. OLED is still the superior tech and the G4 will most likely win best TV of the year.
mini led still don't deliver perfect black or better contrast compare to w oled or qdot that bravia 9 going to be expensive & how will it compare to A95L C4 G4 tv
Thousand less than G4 in larger size.
@AllAboutTKK honestly I got to point where think wot the point buying a new tv when they realise ever year just over saturating the market for me I say buy 2023 model & save yourself cash heard rumour that bravia 9 4.000 nits but wot content support that high hdr movies or for gaming tkk
Reading these comments it’s safe to say that qd-oled can be classified as a cult and serious mental health hazard.

We have a true Sony LED TV flagship for this year but ppl on comments sections are dissing it BC it isn't Oled. Oled TVs have really spoiled & rotten the minds of some ppl into not accepting anything other than Oled, that's cult like behaviour. You do you, you decide for yourself which TV to get whether it's the G4 Oled or the Bravia 9. Don't follow the noise.
@@gunnyo50 ok makes a lot of sense thank you.
The 85" Bravia 9 cost about the same as the 77" G4. That definitely puts Sony under consideration . It's still a hard decision. I really love OLEDs.
Some of that depends on what black Friday pricing (if you are like me and wait till then) will look like the LGs seem to drop more historically.
@@A_Burly_Gnoll I want to make the most well informed decision I can, and I'd love to get the best deal as well, but I'm not sure I'll be able to force myself to wait that long.
It’s $1000 less!
Wuts it like being a UCF DAD
Love my son like I love the rest.
I don't get the hype. What's so special when no one has even seen them in person just pictured
You’ve never been hype over anything in life you never seen? I know you done seen a big ole ass before and was like “man got damn”.

Sorry mate, G4 will be eliminating the Bravia 9 at this year's Shootout! LG will finally recover from years of losing out to Sony.
Happy returning tho.
Didn’t age well. Bravia won its best in its own class, a95L swept G4.
In filtering through old comment so missed over the last two months.
@@AllAboutTKK Difference is I'am an ANTIfluencer, you wanna be a Influencer showing off all your purchases. Something I don't ever have to do. 🤫 G4 coming 3rd sure buddy, but let's face it this years Shootout was a Fluke, have you ever seen the G4 in Person ? The Alpha a11 has surpassed Sony's XR clear processor in Clarity, Depth and Motion. The eye Opener for me came when OGCOD made his A95L vs G4 series of comparison Videos, I'd suggest for you to check them out! Regards from your friend Manuel (now TheAntifluencer) and fvck Influencers.

@TheAntifluencer you have me confused thinking I want to be an influencer, on the internet. Two states I have homes in more than 400 people in boths states know me in real life. I’m really the man from where I’m from. lol. Remember none of this shit comes from YT this is just real life being shown, I’m him not them. You can change your name but mine has been mine for 47 years.
@@AllAboutTKK You are a Influencer, your intention is to earn money from this channel. You are just not doing it regularly enough to grow it fast enough to make it very profitable. And I've told you last year you DON'T need to upgrade this year, from your A95L since it's gonna remain relevant for years, now I did not expect it to participate at this years edition of the Shootout AND even come away winning it again, but that only shows you don't need to do what you are doing right now. Buying 2 or 3 new TV's every year only to show them off to generate those clicks. My man I genuinely believe YOU ARE BETTER than this. I'd rather like to expose Influencers and get nothing from it, than be someone like Brian and Fomo relying on this full time 😂
It’s really hard to compare Mini-Led to Oled - I’m sure there’s quite a few that are now waiting for the G4 vs Bravia9 comparison. I have an a80L myself but need a bigger tv. Am I interested in G4 sure, but I’m also very interested in Bravia9. A11 vs XR clear that’s what I want to know
Bingo.
Of course 85 would be nice vs 83. If ur spending hard earned money for premium, u have to love what u buy but I also know none of these are perfect. Gotta Give and take
@james007bray bingo, and when it comes to money, $1000 less for 85” if this thing shows up it’ll be game changing. I haven’t made my mind up but I’m close.
Regardless, until I see both with my own eyes I won’t buy. Lg will be cheaper on BF but Sony uhh nope!
@james007bray praise God I don’t gotta wait for BF. Seriously.
Agreed, make whatever choice better for yourself but people cap talking all this Mini LED is trash, not saying you but in general, it’s almost like accepting WOLED even with MLA now that QD-OLED is out, we all gotta just roll with whatever punch is the best.
Me personally I’m in the mood for a larger size and I’m glad now there is a totally different option with the Bravia 9.
Max Luv
Its been confirmed the 83 G4 does have MLA.
I know this brother. Which is why I’ve been interested. I was reporting Bravia 8 isn’t MLA.
I’m confused as well bro 😂
See, we are not alone.
@@AllAboutTKKI’m trying to decide between the A95L, Bravia 9 and G4. What’s the difference between them two Sony tvs
After hearing about it, it seems Bravia 9 will do things no tv out there led and oled will be able to do. It’s going to provide the best of both worlds with as little compromise as possible out of the current technologies available
@@Devontai_Depends on your preference. I'd personally always choose Mini-LED over OLED as I don't want to worry about burn-in or pixel degradation over time.
@@Devontai_
The Bravia 9 will be mini led and the A95L is a QD-Oled. The G4 is a Woled. They are all great which makes the choice not easy. lol i haven’t seen the B9 but I’m most impressed with the G4 right now.
