Honestly, they should have just adapted any effect that relies upon gold to change to apply to the orange challenge cubes in Challenge Mode. Would have made her pretty darn good in some of the challenges with lots of enemies, as well as provide excellent synergy with Dagas.
Huh, never thought about how Challenge Mode screwed Sheba over, very interesting. Oh well, she's still a good Blade for the main game on Normal, seeing how money isn't that hard to come by and how most of the best Blades are women anyway.
Finally, my favorite blade! Edit: Okay, I just want to add one thing. I have had lots of success ramping up Sheba’s damage in combat using her skills, but they only work well during long battles of endurance. It’s kind of like a snowball effect. At some point, you start chunking enemies. It’s not very efficient, but it sure is fun!
In her heart-to-heart, she openly flirts with both Pyra and Brighid, who are my favorite waifus in the game. So she gets an A+ in my book for having good taste. 😁 On a serious note, I have personally found on later play-thrus that, I really have no money troubles due to having a basic understanding of what accessories are good and which are trash. Seriously, I would say 80% or more of my cash flow is from selling junk or spare accessories. So I took all the "fun" blades that were otherwise "not great" and stuck them on Nia. Now I use her for when I don't give a crap and just want the eye candy. 😋
Sheba can be useful in challenge mode to max out Shulk's affinity tree. Fight a high HP enemy and spam level 3 special (as well as driver combos) for cubes.
I find it a bit ironic that she may not be a true lesbian, given in one heart to heart she admits she's not against adding a man to her harem, she just has different, higher standards and such a man is hard to find.
Sheba’s restrictive skills actually helped me create a cohesive no-dlc team for superbosses. With Nia (Sheba driver), morag, and tora, Nia almost never draws aggro, letting her deal really nice and safe dmg/healing. Not saying my party is the best, but I really appreciate restrictive character traits in jrpgs because they can create natural synergies and help simplify the decisions needed when building a party comp.
I remember grinding for Sheba in Gormott my First play through. Didn’t move on until 2 hours of salvaging. Was it worth it just to get another water blade for Nia? Absolutely.
Sometimes decisions made in this game seem dumb or careless but everything else is phenomenal hahaha. Cubes not counting as gold for Sheba is one of those dumb decisions.

It feels like we've been on a downwards trend lately, and that doesn't seem to be stopping with Sheba. Her skills have the potential to be amazing, but Economicanimal can be a very unreliable method of damage increase unless the AI is great with the driver combo. Her specials really aren't that great either IMO. I actually do like her design and personality personally. However, the ship that sinks Sheba for me is her affinity chart, which is beyond infuriating in a casual playthrough. Having to buy her core crystal for far too much money definitely doesn't help. Easily my least favourite Ether Cannon.

I think Sheba is best in that point between when you have beaten the game and your endgame dream. When you have the gold to fund her affinity chart but you don't have the damage to deal with superbosses yet. Sheba is probably the first blade capable of hitting damage cap with all her additives when you are first fighting the enemies outside the Old Factory, The Old Factory drivers or some of the Deinos in Temperantia that get you your first useful endgame aux cores, accessories and weapon chips or even just making the journey to level 99 much easier. Sheba would probably be a better blade with a higher damage cap because at the dream Sheba is probably dealing 3-4x the actual damage cap. My first damage cap without level 6 aux cores, good accessories or any of the Super Boss core chips was with Sheba against the Deinos that drop Hunter's Chemistry 6 at level 80 and with better optimization you could probably get a damage cap even earlier with even worse gear.
