    Hey Dude thanks. How is your Saddleman Stepup Seat, is it good on long rides?

  • @dittman2564

    You skipped right over the hardest part, getting the header pipes around the cylinder head fins and onto the exhaust ports! lol
    Even when you do it the recommended puzzle piece fitting way, it's real tight. I had to use some brute force to try to spread them a little bit as I worked that last pipe around the cooling fins and I still scraped the fins just a little bit. Didn't really do any damage though.

      What am I supposed to show? me blocking the camera and taking the same 20-30 minutes of trial by error getting it to fit on right? Haha yeah it’s a PAIN by far the hardest part

      It all depends on what year/model your bike is

    I have Vanes and Hines headers and cross overs on mine with Rhineharts, sounds very similar. Also, what handlebars are on the bike?

    Nice video! Sounds really good. I just purchased the S&S headers for my 13 Ultra. How hard was it to get the header on the studs on the cylinders? Seems really tight!

    • @MotoHeadKyle
      @MotoHeadKyle  Год назад

      Thank you, Landis! Nice! They do sound awesome and perform pretty well. It was really tight. It took 5 minutes or so of trying to wiggle them into the perfect spot, but that was by far the hardest part. Hopefully you get lucky, and they slide in perfectly🤘🏻

    I bought my pipe in 2019 for a 2014 SG. Till this day I cannot get the cross-pipe to seal. I try to reseal it every season. Your cross-pipe clamp looks different than mine. It also cannot face the way yours is. My chrome shield goes way behind the back tire. It looks like yours is improved on a lot more than mine. I know it's not sealing because sometimes I get a backfire that sound like it's under the bike. I also snooped it AKA "soap and water" and it bubbles like crazy. I am getting to the point where I want to get a Vance and Hines X pipe. It looks a lot easier to install their cross pipe and the few ppl I know have no problems with it. Don't get me wrong I do love this pipe and I learn hard which I hear the x pipe will limit me at that.
    Do you or anyone on here have any tips or tricks?

    • @MotoHeadKyle
      @MotoHeadKyle  Год назад

      Hmm interesting. Did you try loosening the bracket that secures the cross over to the bike, then adjusting/ tightening the cross over clamp? That’s the only thing I can think of. Perhaps reach out to them. Maybe they know that was a problem and perhaps they might send you a new part

    grreat video but I have some novice questions. Why remove the main fuse? What criteria did you use to choose the brand of pipes? Does the bike require a tune after replacing headers?

    • @MotoHeadKyle
      @MotoHeadKyle  Год назад +1

      Thank you! Main fuse removal is because we’re unplugging the o2 sensors, Harley’s can be extremely sensitive and throw a check engine light, so this prevents that. It was my fathers choice on pipes, he wanted a reputable brand which s&s obviously is as well as price, which these were on a great sale at the time. It is highly recommended to flash, I wouldn’t ride it much if at all until you get it flashed, especially depending on year and other mods.

    Great video. Did you install a fuel tuner or did you already have one on the bike? If so, which tuner did you go with?

    • @MotoHeadKyle
