Loving those GP1800s! They seem like the clear choice for me after my first Seadoo ever made the last year a nightmare.
I'm ready to buy a couple more skis and some of the electrics as well but my 2021 Seadoo shipped with malfunctioning braking and reverse and other electrical issues leaving me and a child stranded twice, nearly causing a dock collision and 8 months later it's still malfunctioning and can't be ridden. Year warranty almost up and they have my money while I have dangerous garbage and increasing expenses for something that doesn't work.
BRP and the dealership (RideNow) have brushed me off and I wasted an entire years vacations with a broke Sea-Doo and tons of unreturned calls and heartache. RideNow kept it for extended periods of time billing for the same warranty repair and ended up damaging the unit on the last repair then test drove it at the lake and brought it back to me with cracked hull mounts, hull seals hanging out, screws hanging out, service compartment broke and the new trailer scraped as well. Other visits had my trailer missing parts that they ended up taking off someone else's in repair right in front of us.
BRP(Seadoo) ghosted me for months repeatedly. Basically the same story I hear from others is Seadoo is very unsupportive with their issues. With only 12 months warranty that's risky as I have been shown.
I have to fly in town and check on the ski while it sits in storage as RideNow has basically told me they have attorneys so go ahead and use my attorneys. I've strangely run into hundreds of people in so many areas that have had bad repairs, bad deals, damaged new units and major complaints that make this business questionable and seem predatory. Don't just take my word though. I don't even try and run into people angry at RideNow. Ask the community, look at RideNow reviews(and Metro Motorsports) on Google and Rip-off Report. I truly wish I had never heard of them and that I could rewind the clock on what was supposed to be just a quiet peaceful time quarantining with some jet skis and utvs.
I'll be buying more vehicles but I am certainly not risking it from RideNow or BRP.

@@brothag1233 It is not bad, well i bought a 2016 fzs brand new. Back then that was the best on the water, the gp is a bit better more accel needs to wake up w a full ecu flash. Stupid manufacturers limit the seadoos n yamahas too much. More nimble than the fzs but im happy w it overall. Im not a seadoo guy anymore duee to being stranded on the water too much in the past but the rxt-x 2021 is probly nice as well

There both technical marvels..my father always gave me shit about modification to push it to the limits. He say dam it boy your never happy you want to work on it all the time just to break it. But he said if you do do it...save it for when you're racing someone..much rather blow it up racing then just taking it out all the time running the dog piss out of it.. Best of luck out there on the lake 👍

That GP 1800 SVHO looks bad ass! I started to go with the same but went the VX cruiser HO green hulk.
I was only able to get it because someone canceled the order. I think I got the last one in the state of Georgia. BTW are y’all on Lake Lanier?
Does it even make any sense to tune a VX cruiser HO if it’s not SV?

    • @Chaseponder

This is at West Point! I would not tune the VX, the gains will be minimal... It's drastic on a SVHO.

For the 2021 GPs all u really need is the rev limiter removed and u might touch 80 depending on the weather and water, u can for sure go up to 83 by also adding a power filter. That’s what ima do soon.
