Pete broke a 70 yr old cardinal rule of the MLB and knew the penalty for doing so. That just wasn't the case for Bonds and Clemens.....a PED based Hall snub didn't even exist as a concept back in the late 90s. There weren't even consequences to using PEDs back then.

Had to buy his photo. 10 minutes later, I’m sitting in the book deciding on my baseball bets, and in comes Pete. We sat for 10 minutes or so and bc I was loaded, I asked who he liked. He was a nice man and those wager discussions were great. RIP. And he deserves to be in the hall of fame
