@@StromboliTastesGood So what? There is five games left for them to play. They needed 10 innings to beat the NATIONALS. It's not over. That Braves-Royals series is going to matter.
Problem for the Mets is that if Sale beats them today, and the game gets rained out tomorrow, they could wind up seeing Sale again on Monday, with all the chips down. On the other hand, the DBacks have looked cooked since they blew the 8-0 lead to the Brewers on Sunday. Who knows how they'll do against SD.
I was furious at Gleyber but now hearing Boone's explanation, I can appreciate the situation. Face it, Soto should NEVER have tried for second with two outs and Judge on deck.

PS. The Yankees are now still one game away from locking up the division and 1st round bye. The Mets are one game away from just being the Mets again, and (despite getting your hopes up) finishing the season exactly where they were expected to. Outside looking in. Because everyone knows they are scared of the braves, ESPECIALLY in Atlanta. And make gave the O's exactly the amount of "due" they deserve. The Yankees are simply not a championship caliber team . They have a lineup full of holes especially Verdugo who has stunk since mid June and Stanton who is nothing more than a strikeout artist. And tbe have an incompetent manager in Boone who has no in game strategic ability and who will be outmanaged and outmatched by let's say an AJ Hinch. I dont think they will go deep into October.

The reliever decision to let a 2024 struggling left handed pitcher against a Yankee right handed hitter killer in Ramon Arias was questionable. A.Boone should have put Tommy Kahnle in there. Then go to T.Weaver after.

I get now why Mike left WFAN. He can do these post show reviews whenever he wants and doesn't have to wait for 1pm tomorrow.
Yes, he gets to "fart in Mets' fans faces" immediately, as opposed to waiting 15 hours to do so.....
