5:10 people don't understand how Flamethrowers work, it doesn't help that media, especially video games, don't know as well. It's not a giant touch, it's like a super large and powerful water gun with flammable fluids in it. They can spay that oil pretty far and where actually original designed to be anti tank weapons. The fire eats up the oxygen around the tank causing everyone inside it to suffocate to death. If you manage to escape the tank your set ablazed. (This is one of the few games that have proper flame thrower physics, besides the breaking through the ground part)
I feel like games really undersell the effective range of a flamethrower. They were equipped on tanks as an anti-personnel weapon even. They do the same thing with shotguns, I feel, where their effective range is very undersold.

Games also don't simulate the psychological effect flamethrowers have. There's a reason why flamethrower operators were shown no mercy historically.
