- Cyno has finally been officially revealed in Genshin Impact as a playable character. The Judicator of Spirits is an Electro Polearm set to play a key role in Sumeru’s story: here’s his leaked abilities, release date, and lore.
With Sumeru finally here with the arrival of Genshin Impact Version 3.0, adventurers are finally becoming acquainted with characters from the Dendro nation.
Cyno was the first one players became familiar with way back when, and now he’s finally launching as a playable character. HoYoverse revealed as much on August 22 with his teaser, and now leaks are coming out with his rumored abilities and release date.
Cyno is a scholar from Sumeru Academia, a leading institute in arcane arts and historical records. He is also revealed to have a close relationship with Collei - one of the main protagonists of the official Genshin Impact manga.
The Sumeru scholar helps seal Collei’s archon residue, which enables the otherwise ordinary girl to unleash devastating powerful abilities. In the manga, Cyno initially comes off as cold, but his willingness to help others is what makes him such a reliable character.
His Elemental Skill is a dash that can be buffed by his Elemental Burst, if leaks are to be believed, to deal a ton of AOE damage. His Skill is seemingly a status effect powering up his attacks, and it can last for up to 15 seconds.
As for his Burst, it imbues his Polearm with Electro to deal with massive damage - much like Raiden Shogun’s Burst. As for any special things on activation though, that remains to be seen. It does indicate he will be played as an on-field Main DPS though, much like the Electro Archon.

He's like Razor but OP has heck! Cyno had a complete glow up on his overall character design in the Prequel Comics his outfit didn't have the gorgeous detail and I honestly can't wait to pull for him in 3.1!
His burst reminds me of sonic unleashed (the werehog sections). Looks pretty cool.

His burst reminds me of a mix of the smoky hounds from southern inazuma and the main girl from honkai impact. He also might be one of those characters who kills themselves slowly like walnut and xiao, seeing as he has a purple aura after his burst. Overall pretty cool! But I think I'll wait in the wings to see how he does

So he's an electro on-field burst window dps. I really like his design, but solely based on his skill and burst, i'm not convinced yet that it'll be different enough or an improvement over a C6 Raiden. Will have to see what's under his hood.
Bro its a unfair to compare an Archon to other 5 stars.
Dont expect more Kazuha's in near future.
@@KyoFanDuB I don't think it's unfair to compare Archons to other 5 stars. They cost the exact same amount, have similar Re-Run schedules. If you only look at per dollar value, there's nothing that demands Archons be stronger than regular 5 stars. If anything, Archons are actually easier to plan for and obtain than regular 5 stars since you have a very good idea when they'd drop.
Therefore, if Cyno is basically a Raiden 0.8, then he's a relatively low value to roll for. I don't think Hoyo is that dumb tho, so I'm interested to see what Cyno's packing in his passives and constellations.
@@frostsabre Well do you also know that some people are also playing this game for fun? You can beat the spiral abyss easy with a lot of non meta chars. Why should you pull only for meta.
@@sniffierdragon3087 sure thing, and in such cases, just default to "ignore others and play what you want". Nobody needs to take my comment as anything but a random person's thoughts on Cyno.
As for myself, I refuse to play Bennet, Xinqiu and Kazuha, just because i dislike medium male body characters, and I dislike sword users. I have also noted that i really like Cyno's design, so no, i don't consider myself a meta slave.
My negative comment towards Cyno was only that he doesn't appear to offer me a new gameplay experience or a substantial improvement to my account, considering that I have whaled, and have enough characters in my box to be more picky about what I pull for.

Xiao and raiden have different hold attacks, the reason is probably because xiao already has a forward teleportation skill and raiden uses similar animations when she's in her sword stance

For someone who has cyno, it's me or Cyno in this gameplay when he does the elemental skill without the eye theres is a snake, but currently when you do this that snake doesn't appear
a shame the spear charge attacks are still as useless as ever on alot of these characters. would be awesome to see actual useful charge attacks on spear users like raiden

I use Xiangling’s charge attack often actually. When paired with an anemic character, it makes it easier to chase enemies who are exploding from swirl effect and flying everywhere lol

this kinda made me not want to pull for him.. but I guess now it depends on how he is a character story wise.. i first didn't want to pull for tighnari but in the story he is so cool.. though still not pulling for him as we'll get him eventually.. but its a no for cyno based on the kit for now..
u might never get tighnari actually. cause u need to lose 50/50 then get him from a pool of like 6 characters lol good luck
