  • Accelerated stalls are a dangerous phenomenon that can occur at any airspeed, but they are particularly dependent on the aircraft's critical angle of attack. The critical angle of attack is the angle at which the airflow over the wing becomes disrupted, leading to a loss of lift and an increase in drag. This can cause the aircraft to stall, which is when the wing stops producing lift and the aircraft loses altitude.
In this video, Brian demonstrates to us how to get into the accelerated stall and then how to recover properly from it. He explains the importance of understanding the critical angle of attack and how to recognize when an aircraft is approaching it. He also shows us the proper techniques for recovering from an accelerated stall, including lowering the nose and increasing power. It's critical for pilots to understand and be able to handle an accelerated stall, as it can happen at any time and is considered a high-risk situation.

Nice and to the point. Great to see Piper getting some airtime for maneuver demonstration!

Training for my Commercial. The maneuvers are fun, but there is a whole lot of different happening for me now. I'm transitioning to G1000 NXI, and flying from the right seat. Thankful to have time to work out a lot of this in the AATD.

You can also still fly at beliw stall speed. This was demonstrated to me in a T6 Texan during a Bunt manoeuvre

As for the PA 28 161 according to poh maneuvers should be around 111kts not too exceed best glide slow end 68 knots and 78 knots 2700 rpm as full usability of fuel 48 gallon of 50 total

I read the POH, it depends on the weight of the aircraft. Also, Isn't best glide Vg 76?

And I'm pretty sure 111KIAS would be Va at MGOW. I would certainly want to be BELOW that significantly.@@Robert-dy9uv
