As a Link main, It makes me really happy to see this character to get this level of play. Learn a lot from Salem's Link.

@@woe1008 Izaw is good and kind of the "teacher" for Link mains. Izaw has a patient and strategic playstyle where he's sometimes overrun by his opponent, whereas Salem is SO DYNAMIC, that barrage of projectiles and Nairs force the opponent to constantly react to him. He forced Peach to shield again and again, then grabbed her often to get combos. Both are excellent in that match, dont get me wrong!

@@oun1935 to be a good link is to have everything on your left eye and 5 others eyes on the opponent. Spacing, damage already dealt, what enemy is holding, which enemy it is, what are their options, actions and reactions after what move link does and reading that. it's impressive how salem does it like breathing easy.
Yeah, picked up link recently, in my opinion it feels like a top tier, great combo game at any%, bomb, good zoning potential, shield, multi hits smash attacks, one of the fastest fall speed, good recovery.
He s basically a jack of all trades, but its not mediocre in all things, it is actually good

I love the commentators. Vikki did a really good job and being hype too. They make a good combo.
Yeah! Vikki is so damned enthusiastic and pumps up all the cool moves players do, while HB is a chill foil who keeps her from lifting off into space. I'm halfway watching these for the commentary now!
Hbox was great. Vikki was screachy and annoiying. I cannot stand her commentating.
Vikki is really good for the most part.
But her pop-offs are a bit too extreme, and go a bit too long.
She distorts the mic, and repeats the same line over and over at such times.
@@deftduelist Agreed. I turned my volume down because of how loud she is and she's still making my ears bleed, and I can't hear anything else. The lowest volume my computer can go is 2 and even on 2, she's being too loud for me. Honestly probably not going to finish this video because of it. Stopping at 13:50.

People really can’t talk about tier lists in this game just yet. It seems like for the most part, this is the most balanced smash game.

Early days are awesome because there is so much character variety.
@@darrellkiely91 I dunno man, I get the feeling that this game is a bit better balanced than smash 4. Granted, we've already been seeing a bias for Fox or Wolf or Pichu depending on the region, but there's just so many characters and so many options. Even if there is a "bayonetta" pick that the community finds, I feel like it's not going to be dominating the scene as much just because of all the characters with amazing combos or frame data to choose from in this game.

@@theboy2385 "a game on life support" dude, you're just coming up with the rules at the spot to dismiss that achievement. that was one of the biggest brawl tournament and one of the biggest prize pools for smash at the time. guess why the game wasn't as suitable for competitive play? because characters like meta knight were more broken than bayo ever was. and salem beat the best meta knight with mid tier zero suit

Fun fact Iyou can detonate the bomb someone pucks up with a dash attack. The window is incredibly small. But if someone tries to pick it up with a dash attack and you detonate it at the same time they will still blow up
Salem cannot be human! those inputs are insanely fast
Game 2 demonstrates the flaw with Link. Salem had the percent advantage, but was having a very hard time finding a kill confirm. I can't count how many times I've been in that situation with Link.
Like I have said: I still have a lot of respect for Salem, despite the drama

Cause now it's Link. A less broken, but equally Unga Bunga character. In all seriousness though, Salem is a good player. Bayonetta players are still very ignorant, but they do have skill.

@@symphomaniac There are some pretty hype AC themes but I see what you're saying. Hopefully, the stage list stays the same or expands in size so we won't have to see the same stage over and over again.

I had a legendary moment with me and my friend Tristan while we were playing melee once. It was me and him in a 2v2 against two peaches. No matter how hard we tried we just. Couldn't. Win. It drove us mad!! We were soo angry that he eventually looked at me and said "you know what their weapons are? *Umbrellas!!* " we were two angry 7 or 8 year olds at the time and we'll never forget it. That being said seeing link win this was cathartic for me because of that. Well done!
If you look closely at Link's bomb it looks like the pokemon Chandelure. So that's how l call it.
Moments like 11:10 are why I prefer an HP system over percentage.

I like T's Link more who plays more aggressively and relies on his Nair, tilts, and boomerang more and aggressive use of bombs.
