    Honestly, these film studies are absolute gold.
    The NBA/WNBA should hire you to do these studies of lots of players - not only the strenghts of great players
    but also mistakes/weaknesses from players in general to learn from.
    I would definitely pay money for a subscription service that regularly provided:
    1. Analysis of a few players (perhaps one for each position:PG,C, etc)
    2. A PDF with a breakdown for each analysis of WHAT to work on to either acquire the skill, or remove the weaknesses
    3. A 'Coach/Trainer' section with advice on HOQ to teach these insights to younger players
    Your channel is a blessing from God.
    Please keep sharing your journey and insights.
    Stay blessed!

    I've been trying to incorporate more 'hard ball pounding' with crossovers, inspired by James Harden, his rythym as you mentioned in the video, changing from standing up high and bending low down, is mesmerising. If you can please break down how he gets the defender to commit to one move and counter react that will be great! Thanks!

    Awesome! I love alot of aspects of James Harden's game, so I'm glad you did a breakdown. Lebron next? I'd love to see the difference from 05-06 bron who was mainly a jumpshooter off pin downs and going left, MVP bron who decided to attack the rim more, and 17-18 to now bron who's a master of the game.

    u say he’s abusing the rules while also admitting that his constant trips to the line are because the defender is actually fouling him
    his numbers are not inflated...he is able to create a good look from 3 at any time in isolation...he is 1 of the strongest, most skilled, and craftiest players in the league...he simply can not be guarded, that is why teams started doubling him every possession even at halfcourt
    U also say that the degree of difficulty on his shots is ridiculous. So how are his stats inflated? No one else in the league can do what he does.

    • @TyrenJohnson1
      @TyrenJohnson1  4 года назад

      I think they’re fouls for the most part. I say he’s abusing the rules cause as a hooper and a competitor most hat I've met don’t focus on the rules. They just compete. I say his numbers are inflated because he has the ball majority of the possession. I said he’s top 3 scorers in the league. So I definitely respect his craftsmanship. His stats are inflated because he's shooting 12 3's per game and his shooting percentage is in the low 30's. No one else should want to do what he does. It's not successful. I also think it's by design from his coach. Real coaches would get the most out of James.

    • @linkinlinkinlinkin654
      @linkinlinkinlinkin654 4 года назад

      No one in the league can do what he does? Do they even want to? Harden is skilled as fuck, but he's inefficient. His contact fouls get him 10 points every game. During playoff games when referees aren't soft Hardens efficiency suffers. Rockets is harden and that's the problem

    • @slimrocket1955
      @slimrocket1955 4 года назад +1

      Tyren Johnson Harden doesn’t just compete? What? You’ve met a bunch of NBA players and picked their brains asking how they approach the game? I don’t care about what random non-NBA players are doing. He is doing what he needs to do in order to rack up wins. He is maximizing his skillset. He is not 7 ft tall like KD who can just rise up over anyone. He’s not built like Lebron. He’s not an all-time great shooter like Steph.
      You’re being very disingenuous. His shooting percentage from 3 is not in the low 30s. It’s at 35%. That is considered average. Most years, he’s close to 37% from 3 which is an above average shooting percentage. That is with him barely get assisted on any of his looks.
      MJ had the ball all the time. Kobe did. AI did. I can go on and on. No one ever talked about their numbers being inflated.
      It’s not successful? That is yet another false statement. No one competed better against the KD Warriors than Harden and the rockets, and all he had was aging CP3 and role players while GS had Steph, KD, Curry, and Klay. He’s made 2 WCF. Has been out of the 1st round numerous times. He has the 3rd most playoff wins in the West since he’s joined the Rockets. He guides the Rockets to 50+ wins every year in the Western Conference. If CP3 did not get injured in 2018, he’d have a title. It’s not all or nothing. Just because he hasn’t won a title doesn’t mean he’s not successful. If that was the case, then a lot of all-time greats shouldn’t be considered successful.

    • @slimrocket1955
      @slimrocket1955 4 года назад +1

      linkinqueens97 Inefficient? Lol, no. His TS% is at 62%. That is elite. He averages 34 points on 22 shots. That is not inefficient. For some reason, it’s only a problem when Harden gets to the line as if all the all-time great scorers weren’t adept at racking up free throws. Most players see their efficiency drop in the playoffs. Only a few don’t like Lebron, MJ, and Kawhi. When KD was in OKC, his level of efficiency from the regular season to the postseason dropped at a higher rate than Harden’s. Harden’s efficiency drops by 4.2% while KD’s was dropping by 4.5%, but no one ever brought it up. It was crickets. In KD’s final season with OKC, his regular season shooting percentages were 51% from the field and 39% from 3. His TS% was 63%. In the playoffs, his shooting percentages fell all the way down to 43% from the field and 28% from 3. His TS% dropped to 54%. Fans just glossed over his consistent drop in performance. Then he goes to GS where u can’t even double him and is all of the sudden a playoffs god.
      Lol, no. The problem is that Harden never has a Big 3 or stacked roster, but plays in a conference that featured the KD Warriors. He would’ve had a title in 2018 if his co-star didn’t go down and it was all of the sudden him vs KD, Steph, Draymond, and Klay.

    Harden the greatest of all time period don't ever try to discredit the beards greatness lol other players can do what he does if they work and choose. Lebron Giannis Westbrook and many other players get a ton of fouls called for them too. Only difference is harden makes his more than them. Harden just OD smart and patient and confident. Never been a player like him that could do it all creating for himself and others at the rate he does it as well as be a stellar rebounder and come up with a lot of steals. He's the goat. 2nd to him is Kobe. Then Jordan. Then maybe Magic or Ai. Kyrie up there. Bron.

    • @TyrenJohnson1
      @TyrenJohnson1  3 года назад

      I see your love for Harden, however he's not close to being the goat. Not even in the conversation.

    • @DarthPainFinalBoss
      @DarthPainFinalBoss 3 года назад +1

      @@TyrenJohnson1 You're young and have a simpleton mind so your opinion on basketball and life in general is irrelevant. Who's better than Harden and why? And u better not name any scorers like Kobe and Jordan. Skill wise far as overall combined passing/ball handling/playmaking/sharpshooting/shot creating/driving & finishing/rebounding/steals defense ability. Patience/IQ/Team leadership/Attitude. #1 is James Harden easily the best overall most effective basketball player ever. #2 Kobe. #3 Jordan. #4 Magic Johnson. #5 Allen Iverson or Bron. Now if Kyrie consistently plays like the Kyrie of last year & got involved more defensively atleast with rebounds & steals etc he'd be after Kobe tbh. Ur not ready for this convo kid.

      @@duk3335 Good question cuz Durant would literally have to be the next name I'd mention after Bron/Kyrie for my 6th man honorable mention.
