    I've watched a couple dozen Luka Doncic videos by now and you're the first content producer who has mentioned how he does his right side stepback differently. Very nice.

    I always enjoy listening to a person who really knows basketball talking about Luka, because they are in a position to appreciate all of the little technical details that all add up to provide the answer why Doncic is so good. He's so fundamentally sound, which he bases his creativity off. If he ever suffered a bad injury (and I sincerely hope he never does), he would still be able to come back as good as before, because his game is based on an off the charts basketball IQ, and technical fundamentals and high skill level. I think this kid is going to have a long Hall of Fame career, and imo will be considered the greatest non-American to ever play the game barring a career ending injury.
    He's in a great situation in Dallas, with a young solid team around him. Mark Cuban loves him, and he's got one of the best coaches in Rick Carlisle. I really hope that he fulfils his potential and had a long and successful career in the NBA. I love to watch him play

      i've been a dallas fan for the past 20 years, and i've intensely watched Luka played for the past 2 years. In terms of GOAT rankings, he has the potential to be between top 20-30 players of all time. At this tier you have guys like Dwayne Wade, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash & Scottie Pippen who are all legends.
      What it takes to crack top 15 goat ranking is supreme physical advantages combined with supreme skillset, that's what it takes to dominate your peers. Luka's a challenge to stop for a lot of players, but his lacking physical dominance means there are a handful of players that can shut him down. (Team defenses would be more effective against Luka, if Dallas hadn't surrounded him with excellent shooting.)
      I think Luka possesses an incredibly polished skillset and with a longevity in his career he will easily crack top 50 which in itself is high praise for a 2nd year player. And if he continues to develop his game and adds an unstoppable move, he'll potentially land top 20-30 in the goat rankings.

    • @kccx4x
      @kccx4x 4 года назад +7

      eujukey if he works more in his defense to the point he’s a solid defender he’ll definitely would be top 5

    • @fuckoffstupidyoutub1
      @fuckoffstupidyoutub1 4 года назад +16

      @@TKGoose I think you are wrong, Larry Bird is a top 10 player and his physical advantages ain't that impressive, I would go and say Luka is more athletic or as athletic as him, and keep in mind Bird played injured for most parts of his career.
      Luka can be a top 10 player, cause he is physically gifted, having a quick first step isn't all, and his first step is pretty ok.

  • @peterjin9524
    @peterjin9524 4 года назад +3

    Thanks for the film study. It’s all about fundamentals and practicing shots that are unstoppable. High floater, quick release with high arc. Step back( one of the best). Luka has feel for the game, makes his teammates better. He needs more consistent on the 3, better FT%, Most kids practice dunking in early 2000s. Curry and harden change that. Now it’s about the 3s. Luka have all the offensive skills. Defense is ? And he admits he need to get better to better the teams chances to win. I really like that he not too athletic, he doesn’t jump high(less chance of feet injury). Not to quick(uses change of direction) less knee injury. And even if he does have an injury, it wouldn’t effect his game like Westbrook and D Rose.

    The scary part about Luka is that he's still growing. I didn't know who he was before the Mavs Drafted him. I'll never forget the first time I watched film on him. I thought to myself, "He looks like a combination of Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. I told myself "the Mavs have got to find a way to make him the point guard because of his ball handling, court vision, and passing" .

Wonder what he’ll add next? I hope the mavs get a secondary playmaker to take some of the pressure off Luka & so he can play off ball a little more b/c his usage rate is crazy high right now. As we saw in the playoffs, when needed, Luka plays high level defense. When we talk about his defense there's always this narrative that he is a bad defender or even an liability.
    But no one seems to notice that we only have regular season games to study his defense when we all know that defense mostly matters in the playoffs.
    And since Luka is such a menace on offense there is no point in him loosing to much energy on defense. If he wasn't a 30p triple double treat he'd be playing tougher defense.
    This way, let him work his magic on the offensive side.
    Come playoffs, he can hold his ground with the best of them and he still has 6-7 years just to hit his prime. The way he plays, the way he competes and the way he is used to wining he wont be leaving to many championships on the table for the next 10 -15 years. If somehow Giannis decides to join KP and Luka they will have the league on a lock down.
