This is the best gaming monitor I ever used because the panel is REALLY FAST and I mean REALLY FAST. I always prefered TN panels to IPS because of the pixel response time. I couldn´t stand IPS, not even on expensive high-end monitors. I would always notice the blur. Not the case with this model. Afaik it uses the same panel as ViewSonic XG2431 wich is BlurBusters approved and OptimumTech also considered this panel to be the fastest IPS panel he ever used. That coupled with 270hz refresh rate makes it almost pefect. I compared the input lag with other models I have around here and at 270hz this things beats everything. It´s comparable to my CRT (altho my CRT maxes out at 160hz), so that says a lot. For console gaming is great because 60hz do not have overshoot or ghosting problems, panel still very fast at lower refresh rates. It´s a shame PS5 do not support VRR with HDMI2.0. The PPI on this unit is very good too because it is not a 24 inch monitor, rather 23,8. 1080p at that size is great. So this is a way to play your favourite online competitive shooters without too much strain on your GPU, while having a great image quality where you can spot everyone at long distantes. The colours help on that matter too. Why isn´t this monitor perfect? Well because if you want to use lower refresh rates like 120hz or 180hz YOU NEED to create a custom resolution with CRU because the standard information adds too much input lag. I created custom 120hz and 180hz resolutions and it is fast again. Keep that in mind. This thing is a "war machine" as I call it. I can´t see anyone being at any competitive disadvantage using this thing. It is as good if not better than many 27inch 1440p 240hz/360hz models, trust me. Only OLED can beat this thing.
