As someone who actually bets for a living ( on UK jumps horses mainly) I've never sold me bets too anyone.
Alot of these pros say they see tips cuz they can't get on. This is a lie. Betfair won't restrict u neither will the tote.
If u need too sell tips yr definitely not making it pay!
I tend to agree with you, to a point, except to say Betfair has very little liquidity in Australia on most races so you cannot get on, and Bookies are also very restrictive if you are a winner
i.e with Bet365 I can only get on to win $10 i.e if a horse is evens I can get set for $10, if it is 33/1 I can get on for 30 cents, if it is 100/1 I can only get set for 10 cents.......
Top Sport who advertises that NO BET IS TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL, and will bet to lose $50,000 on big races cut me back from $150( a small bet for a big Group One) to $70 on the Caulfield Cup winner Durston @$26 I find you need to spread your bets around just to get a $1000 on, even on the big races
Winning isn't the hard part, getting on is where you have to keep finding new ways to make a living.....but I would never sell what I know, it is my intellectual property and it will die with me........Just Like TJ and Bart, if they had published a book on horse training it would have been a best seller, why didn't they?

Pro punters don't sell bets. They live off their bets only. These are not pro punters

I doubt there our pro punters that actually make money strictly from racing betting only people that making money our selling tips prove me wrong all the big pros have left the country 😏

These guys never show their exchange P&L.They are both restricted heavily and doubt they really win much and if they do they will be PC taxed 60% like the rest of us.

I think the term "pro punter" is scandalously overused. Most of these guys are just enamored with the lifestyle, and get huge ego satisfaction playing this "pro punter" character. If you are selling people tips or any of that garbage you are just a conman betting with fools cash, nobody wins long term betting on horse's except 1% of the guys who have inside information and bet heavy maybe once every 3/6 months then disappear again, they don't brag sell tips or talk about how good and ahead of the game they are with the ingenuous "edge" they have cultivated. Discipline patience and information are the only way to win money long term, and it's impossible to have any of these if you are betting every day/ week.

Shit take, they post their wins and losses every week on Twitter they don’t shy away from losing weeks.
They were +58.3 units over the whole of last year… not profitable to bet every day well that’s what they do and it seems profitable to me

What makes a professional. Does. It sell tips. For a living and bet with the money they make from mug punters buying their tips It’s really just a I don’t know. Really it’s very gusty in the desert.
