I take so much inspiration from Patrick and have read his book cover to cover. I'm not a professional by any means but i love horse racing and have made over 50k profit in the last 5 years from betting. I almost exclusively bet on American Claiming and Optional Claiming horse races. I just love reading form and finding winners. It's like when you really understand the races you're betting on and take your time to look at the cards, they almost jump out at you. Also like Patrick says, how often Timeform and Racing post get it wrong is almost comical. NEVER follow either of their tips. Always use Attheraces for their form cards aswell, absolutely indespensible and show unreal amounts of information. Happy betting everyone!
I played cricket with Patrick at Greetland CC In the Halifax junior league. He was probably one of the most switched on lads I have ever encountered In life at such a young age. Nice to know you are doing well Pat. All the best from your friends at Greetland CC. We often chat about you.
Great to have got him on, was a little surprised to see it after reading his book. Hopefully the other parts share something useful, interesting character.

Thanks a lot to Patrick for taking such care with his answers, very knowledgeable, great interview!
Great interview must admit from reading his book hadnt expected him to be as open, get the impression has matured alot since then.
Did I miss something? he spoke about gameshows, voice messages, walking on a treadmill and Richard Branson.

Good stuff. For anyone younger this is a real shrewdie not a wannabe.
Looking forward to the rest of this. You know its a good interview when @gamblinglamb doesnt like it!

Tremendous advice re being in a good state of mind by working out and getting in the sun, that's massively overlooked by seemingly all tipsters.
People been going out in the sun since Adam was a boy.

Sounds like an efficient joyless man.
Who's he talking about with Brandson factor that was interviewed on here?
Definitely talking about Victor Chandler having the Branson factor.
Think he might have been talking about a tipster as he mentioned selecting horses.

Superb book and already some good thought provoking points made, does anyone know who he’s referring to regarding the Branson factor?
Victor Chandler I would assume?
If these people are so successful how do they get a bet on?

Like the Ramsden interview this guy clearly demanded a presentation style rather than allow the interviewer to do his job.

clearly a distant cousin of Paul Daniels

Yeah he's a scum bag. Probably bribed the police to drop the case when he killed that person while driving.
