Sportage uses an AWD Drivetrain which helps it push almost 200Nm to all 4 wheels that results in a more aggresive and snappy launch, in comparison to the Civic that has 174 put down to its front two wheels. After the launch this where Power-to-weight ratio and CVT comes into action where the Honda Civic maintains peak hp (6000+ Rpms) and gains edge over the 6-Speed shifting KIA. Due to Diff and other moving-parts power loss the Kia begins to fall back. At higher speeds the Civic will have the advantage due to lesser weight, aerodynamic body and the smaller wheels as compared to Sportage.
In Rolling, the Kia performs with its sportmatic and instantly kicks down where the Civic's CVT takes a second or two to get itself in the power band.

If you do rounds of 2 you should try to exchange drivers after each race, it would be a more neutral approach when the car would be tested by 2 different drivers
There is no comparison of speed on Straight road between Cross over and Sedan

Nice Video. The civic's cvt transmission does lag in the start but being a sedan and much lighter in weight it ofcourse is superior.
CVT transmission has nothing to do with it. Its the All Wheel Drive system which allows Sportage to have better traction off the line. All 4WD or AWD cars regardless of their power or power to weight ratio will always get better off the line because of the better traction. Two wheel drive cars regardless of front or rear wheels will always struggle for traction.
@@sawerashah192Bro cvt delivers continuous and linear power all through, unlike Sportage auto transmission which is six speed, when sportage shifts gear , cuvic takes lead bcz of it having continous power.

Civic even gave tough-time to sportage AWD, despite sportage having AWD advantage, which shows its superior power. Grande got thrashed by sportage in acceleration lol.
@Furo and grande shopper got thrashed by sportage by much longer gaps, as compared to the gap between civic and sportage. Asal shapper grande hai, 100 ke bad phapharati hai khota reri ki trha, na kui grip, na ride quality.

Corolla khota bass khachay mein acha chalti hai, aur resale achi hai, which is why it is known as the khota car of pakistan. Corolla ki kui power nahi hai, bass 60 tak tez hai, chotay gear honay ki waja se, uske bad civic x shoot krke uske pass se nikalti, mein multiple grande facelift aur prefacelift sab ko chappay charha chuka hun roll aur drag dono mein, with civic x 1.8. Asal khota taxi corolla hai pakistan mein.
@Furo bro, mere pass bhi 2015 grande cvti hai, aur civic x 1.8 hai. Civic mene 3 saal rakhi, aur grande takreeban 5 saal, aur grande ki bass suspension soft hai, comfort shomfort kuch nahi hai, Civic mein islamabad se karachi le kr ja chuka hun, zabardast comfort thi uski, ap bass toyota fanboy ho.
@Furo civic is much better in performance though, and it is not made for off-roading! There are separate vehicles made specially for off-roading, and civic isn't one of them! Agar corolla ki off-roading thori si achi hai, toh woh uska plus point hai. Civic is an economy sedan made to travel in the city, aur I have gone to lahore, karachi, multan on my civic both as passenger and as driver, I did not feel uncomfortable at all, aur jahan tak neechay kagne ki bat hai, aj tak meri civic neechay nahi lagi. Stop overhyping garbage taxi corolla.

Why would you race a crossover with a car in the first place. Secondly, these are not race cars, they are bought for utility and comfort for everyday use not for racing. If you want to race, buy a sports car. Nobody buys a sportage to beat a civic in acceleration neither do you buy a civic to take it on the race track. A sedan is faster than a crossover, what a revelation. Congrats on your faster grocery shopping by 2 seconds

Civic is a sedan but not a normal one, civic RS proves that Civic is from a sporty family, I took my civic to a track last year (Oriel) and it was kissing the apex, and looking flamboyant and agile, it was very planted and I felt like I am in a two seater sports car, Sportage is a family crossover, Honda breeds are always sporty.

I own both, Honda civic and Kia Sportage. No doubt civic is faster than the sportage but automatic transmission in the Sportage is way superior than Civic’s CVT. As CVT is very noisy and on the other hand Sportage is fun to drive.
