Damn those guys hustle. I'm not a drywaller but I kept wondering the same thing over and over while watching you guys. It looks like you guys pretty much board everything up and then make massive cutouts for doorways, windows and whatever else. Does that mean there is a lot of waste at the end of the project?
Gap at the top doesn’t make sense? Even if it gets crown molding the angle still needs to be taped ( at least in America, rules may be different where you are) . Just thinking by putting the bottom sheet on the floor 1st if the floor isn’t level it would cause gaps in the seam. Not being critical just observation based on my experience. Your work looks very clean 👍👍
too much board waste, don't take it personal I'm a drywall contractor and tell all my hangers that. you see things a bit different when you're paying for materials, nice looking work thou!
Too much board waste? Sounds like a diyer trying to piece together all their scraps to save a few bucks on drywall and make the finishers work 10x harder to float out walls that look like swisscheese lol
Far from a diyer, been in the business over 45 years, a finisher can tape a foot long butt joint above a window header in 5 seconds, here in Maryland we've had a a 10% increase in board prices and another 20% coming next month. save 8 to 10 sheet per house at 16$ per sheet times 200 houses or so per year 30,000 to 32,000 per year saved makes for a nice xmas bonus that's my mind frame. Hangers piece working more board we hang more money I've been on both ends piece worker and a boss. once again nice hanging thou!!
@@darrylsmith2233 1st off, those butt joints take more than 5 seconds to tape. Classic case of the tapers will fix it 😄.Try more like 30 mins spent on each unnecessary butt joint over the next 3 coats. If your taping it yourself as well as hanging it, then do it however you want since you can only be mad at yourself lol. If your just Ganna do the hanging, you better expect the taper following you is going to backcharge you $50 per joint. Not to sound skeptical, but your 200 houses a year quote seams just a little unrealistic. I highly doubt you hang an entire house in 1 day, 5 houses a week, all year round...
I'm a drywall contractor I do work for several builders I have several crews that work for me. 200 houses a year is not a lot, back in the 80s and 90s we did double that number. when you break a joint over a window or door its a takes little time to finish those short joints believe me I piece worked for over 25 years , when you do that amount of work you control your prices so no backcharges.
i wish i could work with yall! you guys make it look so easy and there's nobody getting mad at each other or chit chating. just straight business.
Seriously though your boys work very well as a crew, hats off👍
yeah the guys rock! Thanks Jim. they'd be happy to know
For safety purposes hats should be on
Every time I see that guy work he just amazes me
Real Crew doing Real Work. Legit.
Why is the gap left at the ceiling instead of the floor which can be covered by the base trim?
Covered by cornice in case you were still wondering
has to be a gap somewhere, and gravity.
Damn I just couldn't imagine giving af about drywall but i bet yall make some money
Hey Max
Love all the videos and reading the comments from overseas lol
Are the boys sheeting ceiling and wall in a house this size in 1 day?
Cheers

Probably cheaper overall cost vs cutting little pieces.. saves their time.
Would be the same amount of waste either way. Just this way they're cutting it in situ instead of pre cutting
You're drywall always seems to be delivered in good condition, quality supply house.? A little different than our stocking here in California
Yeah its pretty good, they know to put the ceiling sheets on the top, one day i want to go to California.
@@Maxkil Come on out. I got plenty of sheetrock work for u!!

That framing is crazy
can stack everything that's so nice
why the gap at the top? we do the same thing here in UK with the plaster board on the floor to bring it up a little but why the gap at the top?
Hi I am French. Drywaller. I wanted to know you never have any insulation in your partitions.
Hi Antony, yeah sometimes
Drywall. Full beast mode! 😎💯 MAKITA!
Hey Bro, yeah thank goodness, they make some great tools for us!
You guys are amazing
Those strip guns look heavy
Feliz navidad Maxx
Thanks, I think
Is that a Kings job?
Love watching your crew, but told us absolutely no details about the cutout tool!
Good video, but I was wondering if you guys use a rotary cut out tool when you board?😉
Hi Jim, Yeah the Makita cut out tool
It works good the makita cutter?
How long are those sheets? The longest we have in New York are 16ft. Those look longer.
19 .6 foot is the longest in Australia wich =6.0metres long
Hope you all good Xmas,,
thanks you too! and a great 2021
Super fast guys with Energizer batteries in their asses ;)
I really hate when I measure the wall then the glue stick on my lovely tape measures 😅😅
Ya, definitely love it
they wouldn't be running like that on wages
tradies have wrecked the industry with pricing
Hope you boys are working by the foot
Nothing like rushed work.
How tall are those ceilings?
2.55 meters
@@Maxkil gotcha. I love the quality of your all’s work. I wish builders framed with metal instead of wood in America. Nice job!
Definitely not getting paid hourly
No Sir
Did y'all do a job for a tattoo artist that had to pay you in trade?
its definitely possible,

Too much board waste? These are all full sheets, if we used off-cuts the finishers would have more work. I don't understand
