Celtic Worship is a collective of some of Scotland’s most talented folk musicians who craft worship from a unique standpoint, blending traditional and contemporary Christian music with the sounds of their native roots. Initially coming together as a one-off band for an event in 2017, Celtic Worship have since become established trailblazers in the Celtic Christian sphere; revisiting old hymnal treasures and writing new Scottish ecclesiastical music marked by the sound of their cultural and historical context. The band is composed of musicians from many different backgrounds and styles, including Steph Macleod, Mhairi Marwick, Scott Wood, Gus Stirrat, Naomi Stirrat, Ifedade Thomas and Chris Amer. The amalgamation of these distinct musical personalities and range of genres crowned with the unifying love of God makes up the standout sound marked by fellowship revealed in Celtic Worship’s expression. Their mission is to combine their artistry as professional musicians with their deep love of Jesus and passion for sharing it through meaningful music. As I get older the hymns speak to my heart so much more. I went from gutter punk in my teens to hymns and in my mid 30’s. As I was looking for hymns to listen to I found Celtic Worship and now they are my favorite band.

Your story sounds similar to so many, including the writer (in the 1700s) of Come thou fount.....what a beautiful song! Continue to walk with Him, He will lead you and open your eyes to so much more than you can ever imagine. Sometimes the walk isn't easy.....but the rewards are great...and even greater when one day I'll see HIS face. I pray your walk with Him is as beautiful as mine has been. Praying for you always 🙏
Not to be controvercial, and nothing against you, but why not both? I personally pretty much only listen to Christian music, but I listen to some of the heaviest stuff you can think of. All for the glory of God. Of course, Celtic Worship and Steph Macleod is one of my absolute favorite worship music artists. He is so incredibly talented and we are blessed to have him.
When my grandfather passed on in 1991, this song was played at his service. I have always loved the lyrics and music, and connecting it to the song, I Exalt Thee, has been very special to me. Thank you Celtic Worship.

I find it impossible to sing this through in church without breaking up...the 3rd verse gets me every time
This is possibly my favorite hymn. I heard it for the first time many years ago when going through one of the worst times in my life. It helped me realize that no matter the trials I was going through that my Lord Jesus Christ knew my situation and no my what rial i faced I was well with my soul. Thank God for these young people in Celtic Worship. They bless me daily with their great talent.

The combination of these two songs blesses my soul. The story behind the writing of It is Well gives me hope. The writer suffered so much, but he was still able to say it is well. Be exalted, Father, above all the world attempts to do to separate us from Your love. 💖🙏🏻

I grew up with these hymns, I gave my life to Jesus at a young age and in the years since its been an up and down battle; I've never lacked in faith, or believing, but I know I haven't always lived a christian life and I know I'm not worthy of his grace. Now as I get older I see more and more churches turning to music played by bands with pagan symbols and with lyrics that aren't really the true gospel. Or Secular bands that play a few gospel songs like that's supposed to make them 'christian' (of course who am I to know their true heart).. but its refreshing to see a group playing all these old hymns and you can just tell its from the heart and they believe it.. and as a southerner (born in Arkansas, raised in Texas..some in Maine).. to hear these songs with the Irish.. sorry.. Scottish (edit..left my mistake in so you can lol at me) accent and the Celtic tones, its different than anything I've heard (think of Southern Raised).. but I love it, it's such a great touch to these amazing hymns.
God not only forgives but wipes the slate clean! Accept the gift of His forgiveness (as I have) and do as He said: "Go, and sin no more." I do the best I can with that every day and remember to trust Him for the rest. Blessings and prayers....

So how to get Holiness???
" Just obeying all that God left written as LAWS and COMMANDMENTS in the Holy Bible in the New Testament, For the Laws and commandments are the sanctification of body, soul and spirit. And not only live by Faith. For in other words Faith without ACTION it's dead thing James 2-14 to follow....
Through this truth of the Holy Bible we can know that life is to be lived according to God's will, And not according to our own will...
After all;
If it were to live according to our will, God would not have left the commandments in the new testament to us obey, Which is part of the new alliance...
I also know that the truth sometimes causes discomfort for people, but we have to understand and accept after all it is the truth that is being told, it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy!" (1 Peter 1:16), The conduct of a true Christian is not as many teach that it is just Living by (grace and faith), as it proves wrong, where are the miracles, healings and deliverance that the Lord Jesus and the disciples did in the past happening in the present day??? Has God changed?? Of course not.... God said He doesn't live in a dirty house, The house symbolizes the human body, and the dirt symbolizes sin, so if miracles aren't happening it's because God isn't in us, And if God isn't in us it's because we're living in disobedience so how can miracles happen? this is just one of many, many other proofs that prove what I'm saying... But every day God offers an opportunity to change...
Prayer please. My grandsons, 11, 9,5 will have their custody case heard tomorrow, please pray they're not returned to a drug abuse and violent house.
I pray tearfully God sees fit to leave them with me.
God's will be done, indeed it Is well with my soul.
