    You were pretty dismissive of the gess-o-meter but it's pretty accurate after a while. On your second set of journeys it's only off by a couple kilometers each time.

      @OCDaddyZsolt  7 месяцев назад

      Not exactly. My experience is that (regardless of speed, season etc.) between say 80 km and 30 km range left on the meter, there is a sudden drop (not linear). Done now 53k km in it, so have some experience. Also my experience is that above 95 km/h, the consumption increases significantly. But 110 km/h is still way better than 130 km/h. Usually I set it to 95 km/h and have much more range.

    Hi mate. Do you still have this car? I must be the dumbest person alive right now. I just bought one of these,39kwh, in France. I will pick it up in person and drive it home to Portugal.
    I now have a slow charging, low range car to drive 1800km. I never drove or charged an electric car before either. Good job me!

      Hiya, yes I have it yet. It has almost 53k km in it already, we are loving it. On that journey, you will have to stop at least 9 times to charge, but as it is winter, maybe even 12 times. This experience won't be your favourite most probably, but when you use it only locally or on shorter (200-300 km) journeys, you will like it too :) The instant power, less noise, low maintenance and low running costs are great. I have a number of videos with this car on the channel. Don't forget to download the Plugshare app, the ABPR app to check what chargers are available on your route. Then you'll need to download apps (and register in advance) to all those chargers/providers, to avoid it doing so in the cold, at the charger... On DC, never charge above 80%. On AC, you can go for 100%. Also don't let it under 10%, the batteries don't like it, plus you need some reserve, in case something is wrong with the chosen charger, so you could roll to the next one. On such long journey, use the DC charger. It will take (between 10-80%) around 50 minutes to charge. You can use that time to use the toilet, eat something warm, have a walk, have a short snooze :) You don't always have to charge to 80%, maybe 70% will be enough to the next charger. Sometimes it is better to have more shorter charges, than less longer ones. Also keep your speed at maximum 95 km/h (according to the speedo). On the Kona, above 100 km/h, the air resistance is rather large, your consumption will jump. To avoid range anxiety, don't plan your journey to the extreme, leaving charging to the last mile. As I said, rather stop more times. It is better for you to get out of the car more (would be the same with an ICE car, just from comfort point of view...) and you avoid anger also :)

    Hello! I am planning to buy this model, I am afraid the autonomy of the car. They told me in the garage is 150 km in Winter and 200-250 in Summer. Is that so? How long it takes to charge the full battery? Thanks!!

      @OCDaddyZsolt  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, it depends on speed, temperature and settings. In winter, I do around 200 km, but I use the heating and everything. Speed between 50-90 km/h. In the summer, I can do 280-300 km, with the A/C on. Charging speed also depends on what type of charger and how much you need to charge. With the supplier charger, the 39kWh battery is charged from close to 0 to 100% in around 14-16 hours (not on street, but in a garage). But the AC speed is up to 7kWh, so around 6-7 hours and the DC is around 47kWh, but only at max speed. To charge from almost 0 to 100% on DC can be easily 1.5-1.75 hours. But charging from 20% to 80% on DC is done in 45 minutes. Warm batteries charge faster, cold batteries charge slow. On DC, never charge above 80%, to save your battery. The more DC charges you do, the less your battery will last. I charge mainly at home. Plug the car in at 4-5PM, next morning at 7AM it is full. Also don't charge every day, unless you really have to. Plan ahead. If you will do only 20-30 km next day, but you are on 50%, makes no sense to charge. Just like any battery, the more you charge, the less it will last. My car is 2.5 years old now and the battery is like new.

    Great video man! I just bought one exactly like yours, but i dont understand why our version has the display/radio outdated, do you think it is possible to upgrade it?

      Cheers :) Unfortunately the software can't be updated. I've checked it with Hyundai and they said that's the latest and there will be no newer versions released to it. There might be a way to replace the complete head unit, but I don't think it is worth the time and money. I got used to it, in the past almost 2 years of ownership. I connect my iPhone to it via cable and run the TomTom GO navigation. That's all I need :)
