- The very first lesson we learn from the story of Prophet Yusuf is that sometimes we must deal with harsh realities within our families and that as parents we must communicate warnings to our children very clearly. When Jacob advised Yusuf against recounting his dream of the sun, moon and planets prostrating before him, he had the insight to know that even siblings may harbor jealousy and be so psychologically insecure that the mere hint of something good coming your way is enough to make them snap, even to the point of scheming to harm you. The Quran teaches us to have emotional intelligence and to ensure that our children take precautions against unhealthy relationships.

Allahuma Barik, I love how Nouma Ali explained it. His not saying don’t open up to your family, just stating know who you telling it to. For those who have kids when it comes to giving them life lessons or advice, tell them how it is and don’t make it all colourful for them, explained it from all angles so they able to fully understand you. May Allah give us all a deeper meaning to which we can’t comprehend.
Very pertinent subject in our actual ruined muslim societies. Families, elderies need to listen to these lectures. The ego is dominus in front of Rahmat unfortunately even in our families. Allah bless you Sir.

I watched this exact same video a few years ago and back then i wasn't facing a problem that has affected me deeply.I've been feeling so much guilt and it has affected me deeply that i wasn't feeling myself and little did i know, it hurts my husband too.After i rewatch your videos after soo many years,I feel relaxed and so relieved. I've been saying Istighfar lately and I stumbled upon your video about Istighfar too.Alhamdullilah.

This story explains how practical teachings kuran had and that became the base for spread of Islam rather than violance ,what usually consirered my many as reason for spread of islam.
this practicality and realistic view shows the maturity of human mind that we find missing in many religions where praise of idealism gave may to hidden shrewdness in human character.
Very good point sister. But the fact of the matter is this is already the base of our religion, practical applications of Quranic teachings for every human until the end of this world. This is why this book is a miracle of its own. But I'd like to highlight that under certain propagandas Islam is wrongfully telecasted by the media.

I almost have nobody to share this. I have been surrounded by envy people all my life for my career and what i am especially in my family circle. They keep you isolated and let you down in a way thats not obvious and even though I dont give a damn, i realised lately it was affecting my life in some ways.

I totally get this. You have to let a lot go when people talk. Emotional intelligence is often about learning to get on with people who see things a little different or have diff politics and people can't see the good or what they DO agree with in them. Not everything in a relationship is bad .
