This video is deeply interesting to me, I came close to this type of thinking when my depression was at its worse, I thought "no way i could have children when I know that I won't be competent enough to raise them" but then it went further and I started thinking "no one else is competent enough to raise children" depression can really distort your thinking, I can only imagine the type of suffering she went through to reach such an extreme view! its actually a lie that "what doesnt kill you makes you stronger" what doesnt kill you makes you weaker.. all suffering, pain, illnesses etc make you weaker... what makes you stronger are the good things in life... not pleasure... not addictive things, but healthy things - exercise, healthy food, happiness, love, affection... - when someone goes thru a life or death experience like a survival situation after crashing on an island... they dont come back from that experience stronger, they come back weaker (skinny, mentally traumatised) - what allowed them to survive that situation was all the good things that happened to them in their life before... they were already physically fit... they learned skills like fire lighting, they had loved ones at home that gave them inspiration to get home... - suffering does not make you stronger.. that person who survives suffering was already strong from other good things in their life...

We can infact produce more good value by existing instead of not existing. Even if non existing would ensure 0 suffering, some suffering are worth it.
