thats misleading there is a long set of criteria needed to be fulffiled before the punishment is enacted. 1. you have to be under a sharia state. meaning if you leave islam in a non-muslim country, the rules don't apply to you. 2. you have to be given a period of repentance. when you leave typically you have a reason, so those reasons are addressed by knowledable people in case you were mislead by someone or something to leave islam. 3. you would have to be publicly announcing you left islam and start actively preaching against it to where you have 4 people who would testify against you. its not like anyone can just kill you because you left. If you actually look at islamic history, this law and punishment for apostosy has only been enacted once or twice in the past 1400 years! there was definietly significantly more people leaving islam over 1400 years than just those 2. This just shows that its not just as simple as leave islam and you die. Thats false misleading and ignorant.
