DnD beyonds new seemingly openness to add 3rd party content has only made the platform stronger. Every single release has been absolutely class. My main want right now is getting Chains of Asmodeous brought onto dndbeyond. Arcanum Worlds is awesome.
Well this is a pleasant surprise
I love the improvised weapons fighter subclass, definitely something D&D has been missing as an archetype and definitely want to use it outside humblewood.
the fact it also makes improvised weapons finesse also means the subclass pairs perfectly with rogue to sneak attack people with random things you pick up, like a chair, a rock, a pencil, etc
It definitely feels like what they were trying to go for with the Brawler from the One DnD Playtests.
@insanehiker5587 yeah but I prefer the humblewood version as improvised weapons need more love and making them finesse means this subclass can pair with rogues well
This is definitely something I'm excited to pick up. I love new player race options and this world is very rich. It would be cool to figure out the types of stories that would fit best in this world. Auto add to the wish list.

Massive praise to the Scofflaw fighter!! Played one in a game about 3 years ago. Beyond fun and cracked the whole table up when I would do attacked with random coins in my pockets. Managed to kill a hag that way. Really want/need to play the other subclasses in there, but they really are well written and one of the main books we have used in games since it came out.

How does items like vial of acid work with the scofflaw fighter subclass? Can I take 3 levels of rouge to get the thief subclass to throw vials of acid and sneak attack??
Oooh I hope this means the grim hollow and drakenheim player options come into DND beyond too.

Is humblewood canon with DnD lore?
By that I mean could you use a character created for Humblewood in other DnD campaigns, such as ones from Forgotten Realms?.
No.
Ask your DM.
Your campaign is yours alone. If you want to make this part of the lore used in your campaign just do so. But talk it through with your players/DM first.
