    Just in the process of swopping out 4 of these exact fans… I found them very noisy.
    I now have 2x NF S12A & 1x Silent Wings 4 Pro 140. I kept one of the Redux 140s in the system as I’m waiting for the NF A14x25 to come out to replace the final Redux fan.
    If you want a 140mm, the Pro 4 140 from silent wings made a fantastic replacement, far quieter. Same goes for the silent Noctua airflow fans. Despite being smaller than the NF P14s they replaced, the 120mm Noctua’s are sooooo much better then even their bigger 140mm brothers. The NF S12A & Silent Wings 4 can keep the system cool *below* the ambient noise of the room (a studio) which has an ambient noise of 20dbA, about 10db lower than most peoples room. So, when I say they are silent I’m being serious! They are ace! Thank you very much for your videos. They made buying the replacements for the Redux fans in this video far easier.

    @give_me_my_nick_back Год назад +4

    There is a good reason to get the slower one - fan management usually sucks and in some cases you can't do manual settings or just don't want to be bothered and so the slower one will max out at much quieter level

    • @STSYT
      @STSYT  Год назад +5

      In theory yes- But I can’t shake the feeling that you would be paying the same price for less potential performance. Like getting a throttled down car because the owner doesn’t want to shift gears. Feels wrong

    Noctua advertises that NA-IS1-14 Sx2 inlet spacer frame (what a horrible product name!) significantly boosts the performance of the P14 redux as intake fans. Any chance you might be able to test that kit as no one else has?

      I was thinking about this quite a lot. It's definitely planned. I'm just not sure if I should do it/them asap or wait until our standardized Radiator Bench-setup is ready. Would be good to know if there's actual interest in this topic on a large scale

    Why is there such a huge difference between Arctic's P14 and Bionix P140 in the noise normalized performance graph ? I just don't get it.

    • @STSYT
      @STSYT  Год назад

      No idea, right now we’re not doing fans ontop of coolers.
      But for the size part, like any other 140 fan mounted ontop of a heatsink.
      Except for things like a NH-D15, most use the regular holes with bigger brackets

    I bought the NF-P14s redux1500 PWM and i have some problems with the screws coming with it: they wont really fit much the holes to fix the fans to the case and i am unable to put them on. Is this ever happened to you?
