For some reason surv's tend to make ghostface seem more overpowered than he actually is, there's a time to expose him and a time to look away, this game perfectly encapsulates that, ty tru❤

While what u say is tru3, from the surv point of view, Ghostfaces mechanics can seem really broken. Sometimes you don't want to reveal him, and it just happens, other times when right in front of him, with no cover, you just can't reveal him.
Ghostfaces directional reveal pointer is also botched as hell...
Playing as or against Ghostface just isn't consistent. And that is what makes him seem better or worse than he is, in my opinion.

@@DieterKoert I can agree, the mechanics around the night shroud can work with or against you as a survivor, even ghostface. But one thing that will always be true is that with or without his power ghostface is just your typical m1 killer running around the trial. He may be able to expose you or hide his terror radius, but against high mmr that means absolutely sh*t, excuse my french. He still has to play loops and pallets, a killer having no terror radius won’t be as impactful against survivors with decent awareness, it may help you get a couple free hits if done correctly, but unless you resort to a hit and run playstyle or become god tier a mind gaming like tru3, your stuck running loops with basic m1 with or without his power, which will ultimately cost you a lot of trials. What makes a good ghostface is primarily two things, his ability to stealth and sneak up on survivors for free hits and his ability to force survivors and dead zones after exposing them.
Simpler Explanation: Ghosty boy stealth is not a good enough power against good loopers, you can expose them, but if you can’t hit them does it matter? You need to expose them and force them into dead zones which doesn’t always work. Good survivors know where to run. Now if you can use his power to 99% their stalk meter you can pop out and get free downs once they do walk into a deadzone, but as said before this highly dependant on night shroud as the mechanics are a bit wonky when it comes to it.

I love watching Tru3 on Ghostface, he's a M1 god killer to learn from with even more to pick up on with each Killer's kit. That first stalk at 0:16 is very well known from a stalking location guide or hardcore main'ing experience, but Tru3 is that smart to pick up on it naturally with his skill.
The hardcore main'ing Ghostface community is small, but there if you guys want to watch more Ghostface tips and tricks. I am about 80% kill rate and 86% win rate, on YT/Twitch and off. I don't M1 anywhere as good as Tru3, but I make it work, doing just decent enough with M1'ing and then just decent enough with advanced stalking and strategy.

Ghostface being made masterclass by absolute spud survivors. Sadly this is getting a lot of unneeded nerfs for other killers.

Idk if I'd call it a masterclass when you're up against total goombas.
