In my area the difference between platinum and non platinum is - Platinum dash whenever, wherever. Non platinum - dash only at very busy times and max 2hr scheduled future shifts. When I was non-platinum I had a hard time dashing more than 4hrs a day.
I have the same experience. If I can't keep platinum, I might only be able to dash 4-6 hours a week. By the time the schedule is available to me all the times I am available to work are gone.
So I dashed the breakfast shift today, in Des Moines, Iowa’s first big snowstorm, and when I logged in at silver I got bombarded with like 5-10 2.00-4.00 orders, during the morning commute, in a snowstorm. I definitely lost platinum because in cold weather, Doordash/Uber Eats/Roadie/Shipt, and ups seasonal work kinda made platinum irrelevant in my market if you know what to aim for. Anyways, I have been watching your content. I put it on when I go out. I very much appreciate it. I enjoy your down-to-earth style, and please keep posting as it helps motivate me.
I know my market is small. However l am at 37% and get the same orders l did when l was gold or silver. Only thing different l am not running EBT to keep numbers up and l don't get the banner that says you got this high paying order because your gold/silver status.
I remember a few videos back you asking about the time to accept an order. I don’t know what the starting number is but it certainly has become less. I received an offer for a pick up at Giant Eagle, large grocery store for 4 orders, no shopping, arrive at store and call and they load for you. I was on the expressway going 65 miles an hour trying to figure out the order, how many items and where the stops were at. It couldn’t have been more than 20 seconds and I am down to 7 seconds and still not sure what I am getting into so I declined. I have to say this is not only BS but a severe safety issue. Driving 65 on an interstate and have 30 seconds to look at an order while I’m driving and decide what I’m getting into.

The tier program is to force drivers to do all orders if they want to keep doing good. You have to remember they can see all the data of what drivers reject and what drivers accept, they know what orders we will not take and they follow how much money we make depending on the market they gatekeep your income to make sure you can only make so much. In Miami market it's a struggle to get to $100 dollars unless you wanna drive in the downtown area where it's no parking and packed with traffic. It takes 6 to 7 hours to get close to 100.
I’m 1% AR and got a $18 “large order catering order” today and didn’t even want it because it was like 13 miles one way. It’s a scam man. The tier programs let you schedule and dash now and that’s it. Even when I was “online” as platinum for two months , a lot of times it was slow and dead so
I went down from 72% AR to 19% in a month once I decided to stop caring about my AR. I still get sent the exact same offers as I did when I was silver and platinum. I do think part of it is being in a good market that isn't oversaturated. But it's so nice to not care about my AR anymore. I make more $$ and drive fewer miles and it has been so freeing. Only downside is not having dash anytime but I've always scheduled >95% of my dashes so it's really not a big deal for me
If you are on Silver trying to schedule, first off you'll need to be logged in about an 1hr and a half before for your desired slots aka rushes. If your zone is busy at that early time then you might be able to schedule a thin slot to build onto. Keep checking every 15- 31 minutes afterward. If it's gray no go, if it's Red check. I've noticed that the gray versus red affects the silver scheduling out to two days. I know it's a PITA, but DD loves their crap. Also set an alarm for 3pm your time. You'll have to work on scheduling yourself that day too. Rinse and repeat multiple times. PITA!!!!
It seems obvious to me that the people who will get the bad orders are the ones who think acceptance rate matters. If I don't care about AR and decline all the bad offers, who eventually accepts them? The driver who does care about AR.
The only reason why I am keeping platinum is because of Dash Link. Today I declined two dash Link routes because the dollar per mile wasn’t great, it was acceptable. However, it was taking me way north of Pittsburgh, where they got pelted with snow. Then my third dash link offer Was decent dollar per mile ratio and I finished up only a half an hour away from home. All highway miles to get home. I’m at like 250 deliveries for the past 100 days. Insane. But each package on the dash link routes count as one delivery.I was in a high 80s as far as my AR. Now I’m at 81% because I’ve been declining orders when I do normal deliveries.
And I try to stay at silver just to be able to schedule but other than that no difference. Misread an order that took me out of my small town area to the big city, what a disaster. Went to wrong Jersey Mikes because misread order and ended up a good ways from home. Paused orders after delivery until closer to an area I was familiar with and got bombarded with garbage orders going back the other way. Declined 6 in a matter of 2 minutes and one after I hit pause orders and after I declined I was paused. The whole platform is a joke, don’t know why I continue.
Every market is different ,some it makes no difference if Platinum or not,in mine it does ,if I drop to silver ,DD is like ok, if you think orders are bad on platinum ,wait til you see twice as many bad orders like you never seen before on silver 👀

I'm in Canada and haven't seen the tier program in my market yet..thankfully!! I agree with not chasing top dashers with adhd, it's so much better just not bothering.
I see a difference with Platinum. I slipped back to Gold level and close to getting it back. Gold has its surprises but isn’t as consistent in my opinion.
I only worked to acheive platinum so that I could have the dash now feature whenever I wanted to. After 5 weeks I saw no improvement in order quality (high paying offers, lol), the mileage did not improve, and I had to work too many hours to maintain 100 rolling deliveries. After my experience, I realized "dash now" is overrated. Basically, it gives you the chance to work when it is SLOW! When my market is busy, I can dash whether I am am plat, gold, silver, or dog turd status.

I think what they tell us about tiers is different than how it actually works. I notice a difference when my AR is over 90 than when it's below 90. In some markets they've also announced that they're using those shopping metrics to give priority to shoppers with the right metrics. I think they're actually doing that even in markets where they haven't announced it, too. There are probably other things they're doing, but not telling us, too.
I get the same offers every day and make around the same money and and the same customers almost every day. Sundays are the weirdest with the crazy double orders miles apart.
It's all a scam. I was platinum and way before that top dash. In trying to keep up with their guidelines Platinum had me running ragged until I stopped and said oh hell no. That happened when I watched a brand new driver walk in and take a catering order when I was sitting there waiting for an offer for 20 minutes. That was it. What is sad about that for me is that that one catering order a week or heaven forbid I would get two or three made or broke my weekly pay. Now it's 150 less every single week. That was September. There is no difference. I wasn't getting the catering orders then and I'm not getting them now. I sway between platinum and gold. Almost 11000 deliveries and I put up with the same bulshit orders as anybody else.
Did you ever figure out what triggers the out of zone pay on EBT? Is it a specific distance out of the zone? I had 3 go out of zone and only 2 got out of zone pay. Just trying my o figure it out.
Safeway shopping is difficult because they have cheese in four different places and the customers always pick the items that are out of stock and the system message will say someone else bought that item today or many in stock and I say bllsht the label is right fckng there, they also have 5 different places for specialty drinks and then customers who claim the unfiltered apple juice is in the fridge somewhere. you get people wanting fried chicken at 8 a.m. doesnt happen or people want french bread, chicken breast and eggs at 8 p.m. always sold out, people ordering from the Deli at closed hours, some things you can grab and others you cannot, they just can't keep things straight.
You’re right, there is no difference. I’m plat and see no difference in orders. They send me upside down orders all the time. In my area of Minneapolis, it’s so busy, it doesn’t matter. You can dash anytime you want without scheduling.
How do you get more drivers out there taking more offers spending more time on the app? I promise you now the possibility of better offers. Keyword is possibility. Yes they're absolutely playing mind games and anybody that has done this long enough needs to spend more time on other apps
@FoHTon80 i was platinum 4 months the amount of bad orders.I had to take is not even funny very rarely even hit my goal 100 in 4 to 5 hours because of so many bad offers it's not that I see, better offers on silver but i can turn the bad ones down without a penalty as far as volume goes no difference at all
And hate to keep commenting but the tier system sucks. Everything is based off of AR but there is no forgiveness for declining garbage orders. It really is a scam what they get away with.
My OPINION….You went from 200 plus a day to 150 a day being platinum because you changed markets and now you have let your AR drop down some more and you are making 100 a day right? AND trust me if you go below 50 AR YOU will make 50 a day. So is platinum worth it????????
My AR NEVER gets above %20 & I make a minimum of $125 a day for 6.5 hours & Fri I made $220 for 7 hrs! Unless Dash now is a must for you only a fool would chase those useless tiers!!

I agree - the reduced time below 40sec doesn't allow time to pull over and review. I get many now with 25sec

If you have a busy area or live close to a mid to major city you definitely don’t need to be platinum because you can basically dash anytime
