  • This video shows the 12v regulator in action which wasn't a success unfortunately. I'm pretty sure the rebadged Waeco that Kings supplies can't actually run with a constant 12v supply (even when cut-off settings are set to those lower than 12v - probably as none of the minimum on voltage settings are within range of a 12v regulator). The 240v power supply that ships with the fridges is actually 12.8v. So you want to go with the 13.8v voltage regulator to run a camping fridge, which RCNUN do supply.

Did you ever get this to work?

Yes with fridge in ECO mode and with a low voltage cutoff on the source battery. No on the switched mode power supply.

Have you checked the frequency of connected devices? RCNUN converters are 50 kHz. If charging to a power station, these are 60 kHZ in North America and 50 kHz in much of the rest of the world. My Bluetti EB3A takes just a few seconds to switch between 60 and 50 kHz. Wikipedia has a good explanation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hertz

Huh, this is a DC-DC converter.

That’s a buck converter capacitor frequency. When I asked Bluetti about it, they replied with instructions for switching the EB3A between 50-60. I've written to them again, asking whether this is a non-issue with DC. @@BrendanHemmings

@@alczarnecki8905 I think you're mixing up AC 50hz and 60hz vs DC with a buck pwm switching frequency which is 59kilohertz (50000hz) apparently for this device, but many other bucks operate at much higher pwm switching frequencies of 500khz to 600khz (600000hz) for example.
